Have you done a factory reset after the update or just run the update without the reset?

Not at all, I'll let the battery drain completely and then let it charge without turning it on

Hi, I received my P10 from service. I had branded firmware but now they install me open europe soft (vtr-l29c432b151). I find on the internet that the newest soft is b164. I search for updates in the phone but I can see the info that I have recent software. What can I do to update to the new soft?

Hi, you should receive the update from here not long ago, knowing that the B164 is from August. The latest version is the B179 that has just been deployed.
Envoyé de mon VTR-L09 en utilisant Tapatalk

B179 is for L09... for my L29 the latest is B171, i see no further updates..not even in firmware finder and it's bothering me because B171 is quite bad with battery/heat.

Yes, I read it too fast.
Actually, to my knowledge the VTR-L29 is not sold in my country .. So for the updated tracking it should be equivalent to the L09.
As for the battery with the B171 I had the same thing, but since the B175 everything is better
Envoyé de mon VTR-L09 en utilisant Tapatalk

I might rebrand mine into L09 because of updates.
Even my old p8 lite receives monthy updates and this L29 nothing. lol.

I do not think that is possible.
And yes, but the L09 version begins to receive the patch of November.
Huawei finally listen to user reviews and they are about to fix it.

i think i have b203

Hi, In Firmwarefinder is new update VTR-L29C432B180 but when I check firmware access via IMEI I can see info "the firmware is not approved for instalation". The same situation is with 179, 175 etc.

For Me one of B179 worked, L29C432.

I did try with both B179 and none seemed to work but I managed to install B175.
This one is even worse with battery...I let my phone with no wifi/running apps overnight with ~77% battery and I woke up with ~64%... so glad I bought it.....

From the looks of things, you will have to pay someone to unlock your tablet.. You could try eBay.. Have you unlocked your bootloader ?? Or why not flash unbranded firmware, to see if that unlocks it ??
First I wanna thank you for your answers....
I tried to unlock the bootloader end is no locked... That's says on Sony Xperia site....
I flashed.. The tablet has first time 4.2.2... Now I put the. 4.3 version.... But is still 4G locked

so .... my tablet status is ROOTED ) ... first i make an downgrade to 10.1.1.A.1.307 firmware, second i install the Vroot 1.7.4. and now is rooted. plz tell me what to do to unlock the 4g???
I am no expert but I dont think flashing a different firmware or rooting your phone will unlock it... you simply have to get unlock codes... and I'm pretty much sure you aint getting it for free.

Do not do this. Lollipop schi545 has a locked bootloader, if you downgrade you will not be able to properly boot.

yea its called we know more then you so take your attitude and shove it
once you upgrade to lolipop there is no flashing back PERIOD
updating blows the qfuses which means you can not downgrade the bootloader or kernel it doesn't matter if its with odin or kies or if its a official or non official package once you update its over
and had you taken 15m to search the forum before shooting your mouth off you would have known that
You had me at "We know more". Nice try BTW.
He is already on Lollipop okay?
So once he tries to 'officially' downgrade it to KK and fails then what option does Bob have?
Bob can always flash official lollipop. Get your facts straight!

No your wrong. There's a problem with flashing backwards because it blows a q fuse. It'll brick his phone. Seriously lollipop is not downgradable.

Maybe you guys are right. But what I have been doing to all of my phones : HTC DNA, HTC ONE M8, HTC One MAX, Droid Razr XT912, Droid Ultra etc is 'maybe' downgrading on it unknowingly on an unlocked bootloader. Is that so?
There is a hardware check along with a binary fuse on bootloader versions. Downgrading bootloader with odin is a very bad idea. If it were doable we would all be on mdk and there would be way more custom roms. @braindeductions even though the bootloader is locked you can still safestrap roms. What are you on oc1?

I understand completely. In most cases knox can be disabled or at least reset, but the level of development on lower end devices is often limited. What carrier your through also tends to make a difference.

Update for A2017G Nougat B10

You can find it on ZTE Germany.
There's no changelog.
Size 2773.53 mégas.
Security update 5 January.
the patches concerning meltdown / spectre)
I haven't noticed something visible for instant.

Downloading now.
Edit:
Installed. Download and rename the file, it's just the zip, no need for extracting. Update went smooth, phone is running fine.
Edit:
Have had some glitches after this update. Suspect a cache clear may help. Was using music in the car and lost the audio stream. Couldn't get it back. Couldn't use the phone. Had to forget the connection and re-pair. Had VLC start up and play a vid all by itself. See what else happens.
This is the changelog I have on my phone.
It is just a security Update and fixing some other Bugs and stability. Like they promised in the official german forum.
There is no more the TouchPal keyboard, good thing.

I don't know which one you have but Touchpal isn't removed. I removed it in my SL!M rom that's true .
Btw, you can find all original stuff here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/info-v1-2-0b10-rolling-t3759920
Yeah, TP and all the language packs are still in system apps on mine. I guess the update only adds missing apps and overwrites existing files but doesn't remove them.
Not in mine. I don't have it anymore even in the deactivated apks...
In fact, I haven't made a reset after the update, and TouchPal and its packs was deactivated since a long time. Perhaps if I reset my phone they will appear again....

Is the app list set to show system apps though?
Yes, but I think it's a sign that my smartphone need to be reseted. But I'm a bit lazy, so while this is the only glitch I've got, I stay like that. I will do it for Oreo.
Envoyé de mon ZTE A2017G en utilisant Tapatalk
I backed mine up before the update just in case. I was prepared to reset if needed. I did a cache erase in stock recovery and it's running good. No further issues so far.
Any difference between B09 and B10 as far as features go, apart from the security update? I'm currently on B09 and am wondering if i can be bothered backing all my apps up and fresh upgrading.
Today I'm ill so I've played with the last Antutu.

Don't bother, wait till Oreo is out and then look at the upgrade path.
I regret installing B10. Having issue at present with bluetooth calls over my headphones. My wife says the volume jumps up and down. Was fine when on B09. Nothing else has been changed.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback
I don't have any problem with calls via Bluetooth. Have you tried to reset your phone?
Envoyé de mon ZTE A2017G en utilisant Tapatalk
That's the point. I don't really want to yet but when I go Oreo I will, so would have been better to leave it on B09 till Oreo was out and tested.
One thing though, last night I had a conversation over BT with my wife using my spare headphones and she didn't complain. Next call I'll use the other set again and see how she reacts.
Welcome to the lazy club. I don't want to reset until Oreo 's out. But sometimes, you've got no other choice...

Yes, I received it yesterday OTA. That is, I went to the settings and checked for the update and it popped up. I updated manually to B09 when it came out.
Oreo must be getting pretty close.
I'm looking forward to a more stock Android in my Axon 7, although as far as skinned ROMs go, the Axon is still pretty good.
If it got Treble support, wouldn't that open up the door to modding and keeping it up to date
But I kind of doubt it will get to that point.
