Adb device not listed after flashing TWRP and installing SuperSU - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have a new Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X. When i bought it a week ago, i was able to connect it to my MacBook Pro and also was able to install one of my apps using Android Studio.
After requesting unlock code and waiting 72 hours, I have been able to unlock de bootloader with the Xiaomi utility on a Windows 7 computer, flash TWRP (twrp-3.1.1-0-santoni.img from twrp.me) using fastboot from my Mac OSX and install SuperSU 2.82 via TWRP.
The problem is that after rebooting the phone, it is impossible to connect to it via adb. It never appears in adb devices list. Things that i have tried:
Add to adb_usb.ini with these vendor Ids (0x8087,0x2080,0x2717)
Enable / disable developer options
Enable / disable USB debugging
Clear list of USB debug authorizations
Try to modify USB settings to MTP/PTP mode (it always connect as "charge only" mode, if i try to switch it it doesn't change).
Update platform tools to version 0.26 via Android Studio
Connect it to different USB ports
When i connect it to my USB, the phone didn't asks me permissions to allow USB debugging for the RSA key of the computer. It just shows the message about USB charging only mode. If I connect one of my other two phones (Huawei P8 Lite 2017 and Vernee Apollo Lite) they appear without problems on the adb devices list.
Do you have any ideas of what can be the problem? Thanks in advance for your help!

Le X820 - USB permissions and ADB?

Hello All,
Just picked up the Le Max 2 last week (Le X820), what a fantastic phone!
My question though. I have enabled USB debugging on, but cannot get ADB to connect in fastboot? For some reason when I plug it into the PC it only brings up PTP, MTP or charge only. No matter which I pick the phone never asks for authorisation as my other phones do? This I’m guessing is why ADB can’t see it?
I’ve tried toggling it on and off and revoking permissions etc., but no joy.
bump
Same problem with my Le X821 (Indian)

Even I face the same problem, I have enabled usb-debugging and toggled between Charge only and MTP, still ADB does not list my device
Any ideas folks? SDK dev' kit installed. ADB and fast-boot installed. USB debugging on? Have also tried the USB driver cleaner and the universal android USB drivers.
Also tried the adb wireless app,no go?
I am also having this issue.
I have used the Google Generic Driver for Android
I also couldn't get adb working from the booted into normal rom state. But fastboot worked ok from fastboot mode for me.
I had attempted to NOT even look up fastboot devices. I actually honestly proceeded with "adb reboot bootloader" then "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" BUT instead of recovery.img I downloaded directly from Twrp "twrp-3.0.2-1-x2" and flashed that and it all worked out.
FIXED

Took a clean intall of Win 10. Permissions popped up after plugging in phone. Now rooted.

Bricked Device with USB Debugging Disabled

Hey all.
I use a Redmi Note 3 (Snapdragon) and upto now I used CM13. I wanted to switch back to MIUI 8, as it supports LTE, so I tried to flash the MIUI ROM using TWRP. My device bricked and doesnt go past the loading screen. The bootloader also got locked and my device is also not being detected in adb command prompt. In device manager, I can only see ADB Bootloader driver but not any other. I tried installing ADB drivers again but it doesnt work. I believe I did not enable USB debugging. I have a TWRP backup of the previous ROM on my pc but is there any way to flash it?
Please help
Hi , I am new to xda and was previously viewing the posts of other users only, now I have an issue with one of my devices. I have a phicomm passion 660 in INDIA AKA Phicomm P660 in Europe.issue is the digitizer is broken ,USB debug is not enabled, ADB and Fastboot doesn't recognise the device as it appears to be issue with Google USB drivers( which is obvious due USB debug not enabled), all I want to do is use optical mouse to use the device again for DEDICATED VR VIEWING, I can boot the device to Fastboot and in normal boot the pc recognises the device as MTP, I tried steps from many other posts but since the device is not recognised by ADB , the result is ground zero, cant install cwm through sdcard due signature verification error.so any help or direction to relevant posts would be very helpful

Broken and black screen, touch not working help needed to recover data Redmi note 5

Hi,
I have a Redmi note 5, just 5 months old. Recently it fell down and the screen is completely broken. Unable to see the screen and touch is not working. I want to recover data from the phone. I was trying without any luck for past couple of days. Tried following things and none helped.
1. Connected phone to PC via USB cable, but since by default MTP is not enabled internal storage is not displayed.
2. Tried to use MI PC suit but seems like it's not supporting the Android version or MiUi version. I have Android N and MiUi 10. Tried with multiple versions of PC suit and no luck.
3. Reboot to fastboot mode : I don't have debugger option enabled, so only fastboot commands work, adb commands not working. Tried to unlock OEM, flash custom recovery etc: and nothing works! (Next time first thing I'll do with a new phone is enabling debug mode!!)
4. Tried to use Mi account to unlock bootloader but since device is not added into my acount, that also not possible.
5. Tried a bunch of softwares to cast screen to pc or control from pc , but nothing works as debugging not enabled.
I need help if anyone having any other ideas.
One way in my mind is to enable usb debugging just by using an otg keyboard. But this requires help from some one really kind.; to upload a video showing how to open settings and enable debugging only using a keyboard connected via OTG cable ( My phone is running on MiUi 10). I know it's too much to ask..but.. still..
Thank You

Mi a3 MTP media transfer protocol not connecting with PC

Hi, anyone having the issue, MTP not working in mi a3. I can't connect my phone to my pc via MTP. Tried lots of USB drivers. But only fastboot working, MTP not working.
Have you changed the connection mode? By default the phone only charges when connected to a PC. You must switch to file transfer from the notification every time (or in developer settings to make the change permanent). Correct drivers for MTP are installed automatically by recent Windows versions.
Yes, I've chosen the right settings in my phone. I already used my redmi 3s prime in same pc. All the drivers for redmi 3s installed properly. But mi a3 wont connect. I installed available drivers, it works in fastboot mode. I can instruct my phone via fastboot. But MTP only not working. Is there any USB driver particular for mi a3? In Xiaomi website all the drivers available for devices specifically. But there is no driver for mi a3. I found mi a1 and a2. But not mi a3. Can you help me to find the right driver? I'm in latest windows 10 laptop
MTP works out of the box without device specific drivers.
If you have installed Xiaomi drivers they might block MTP communication.
Have you tried on an other PC without phone drivers? Are you running any Windows security software?
MTP uses generic Windows drivers, you don't have to install them manually. Connect your phone to the PC, unlock the screen, make sure it's set to file transfer and open the device manager on the PC. Do you see any device with an exclamation mark? MTP should be under portable devices section as Mi A3.
Yes I can see mi a3 in the device manager under other devices. It shows the device driver not installed properly. Might be some problem with my windows pc. I'll try troubleshooting my pc. Thanks
This might help https://bit.ly/2OsBgAY
Has anyone found a solution?
I've tried installin Media feature pack, manually installing the MTP driver, updating the driver doesn't work since nothing pops up when I click on Mobile devices.

Same here
For an older A2 Lite cleaning USB socket helps...
Go to windows settings, device manager and delete all your USB devices and let Window ask you for new drivers all over again

Rooting the G8 Power via OTG (without app, or PC)

Hi,
I'm currently interested in the question, if I can root my device without any PC or an app, because I momentarily don't own an PC, apps are mostly not able to root the device and interrupt in the middle of the process.
So shortly said, I have an Lenovo Tab M10 FHD+ and want to connect it to my Motorola, to enable root permissions on the Motorola phone with the app linked down below.
The only problem is, that I already connected it via OTG, but commands like reboot work, I was actually surprised, but as soon as I start going into fastboot mode, the device detects the phone, but not the app and no data transfer between the devices is being enabled.
- USB Debugging option in the developer options was enabled during the process
- OEM Bootloader Unlock option was also enabled
I even tried wireless debugging over WLAN, but problems like an endless loop while connecting, occured.
Can anyone help me getting the right commands for the app?
Link of the ADB OTG shell app, I'm using:
ADB⚡OTG - Android Debug Bridge - Apps on Google Play
⚡ Run ADB commands without a computer [No Need ROOT] ⚡

Have you fully unlocked the bootloader?
