I have the thin case and it's really too much money for what it is. It's not going to offer much protection if you drop it. I think it's too slick also. I wish it was grippier.

How does the case compare to the phone itself,as for the grippiness?
I have one of the thin cases ordered (as well as the screen protector & Hammerhead USB earbuds),due to ship out any day now.........

It is better than the bare phone. I feel the phone itself it pretty slick. Wish the case had a little more texture to it.

I would like to see a sandstone textured case, much like the finish on OnePlus' 1+1.
I have a few cases for other phones w/the finish & it feels a lot better than a slick surface.
You don't feel the need to "power grip" your phone w/such a finish,a much better feel-in hand vs smooth cases/surfaces.

Agree completely it's seriously overpriced for a case. It's nice and all but just go for the "rugged" one people. Do the USB type C earphones have the LED the BT ones have?

Thanks guys! For me, I prefer the "office guy" case; one that's super minimal such as Peel or MNML. The biggest worry for me is scratches on the aluminum of this phone..

I have the USB type C headphones from Razer and they do have the green LEDs. They are constantly on though, unlike the BT breathing ones. :good:

The headphines
I ordered the HammerHead BTs and so far have not had any problems. The supplied ear plugs have been a good size and have been easy to keep clean. For smaller ears the spikes on them can catch the ear lobe of pushed in quite far however they sound as good as any other £100 Bluetooth in ear headphones.
The case
I've always been one to get the case from the supplier of a phone so went with the rugged case. I have always looked after my tech never even cracked or scuffed one so for me the case is for piece of mind that when input it down on a surface I won't scratch the back or camera lenses. Currently the phone is at work on my gaming mouse mat or at home on my other gaming mouse mat. If not on a mouse mat I know is clean then it's in my pocket where nothing else goes in.
Screen Protector.
I've never used on but then I have always been careful and at the back of my mind all previous phones have been apple so have had faith the screen could get replaced if needed.
Considering that I did buy the Razer screen protector but will get a friend to apply it to the phone as it's something I've tried in the past and never been 100% good at and at the £25 price tag I want it to go on without problems.
Still waiting on the case and screen protector but will let you know

The rugged case sure is imo. There's hardly anything rugged about it unless you count paint being matte?
It's not going to survive anything dropped more then 6" on anything other than carpet. ?
It's the word case, plus a top side wall, and 20-30$ more.
Really with some rugged cases would hurry up. Opting for a zippered tactile type pouch until someone produces one.

I've just requested a cancellation of my accessory order (case/screen protector/USB earbuds) :
Bad enough the cases/etc.. are overpriced, but,I get it,new phone/etc... prices drop on all of it in a couple months,if you want savings, wait a bit,but I was willing to pay the admission price of getting it now.
However,Day 5 of my 5-7 day window is here & checking the status,I'm greeted with a longer wait,6-9 business days.
Only way to contact order support is via email, which states a 24 hr. window for response.
Once you get the ticket confirmation, that window is extended to 24-48 hrs.
A real S***** way of conducting business Razer ,future purchases will be via Amazon/Microsoft/e-Bay/etc.... anywhere other than the Razer On-line store.

Ya, as my first was defective with the speaker crackle I opted to change my rma to a return. Then just bought one on Amazon.
I will say though Razer customer service is prolly slammed right now but each time I've done a live chat they've been polite, answered questions, and listened as I've reported a few bugs.
Leaps and bounds better than other places I've dealt with. (Though I'm kinda irked they haven't been pushing messages to the phones about what's up with the sound reduction from patch 1.0, or at least a Twitter update or such)

The chats are fine for tech support, but, that option doesn't exist for order inquiries, no phone call support either, just email for order inquiries.
They've essentially built a firewall for order support, to stall/buy time, it's a tactic I will not encourage, hence, my order cancelation request.

Just RMA my hammered bt kinda want the usb type c ones instead :/. Also if anyone has pictures of the rugged case both on the phone and off I'd greatly appreciate it

Possible coincidence:
After placing an order cancelation request earlier today (after Razer pushed back the processing/ship date).
They've updated the status to SHIPPED,from Hong Kong to the US, will be here tomorrow.
All's well that ends well, but, I'm still not happy regarding their email firewall regarding order support.
Will post my 2¢ review on the thin case / screen protector & Hammerhead USB-C buds tomorrow.....

Please do let us know your thoughts on the USB c buds, was eyeing those myself, really hate wires though.

I like that,but, I agree with you:
Judging by the picture, calling it a rugged case is laughable.
I may get it sometime in the future, but, I've definitely blown my accessory budget on this phone already, will wait for 'em to drop in price on Amazon....

Ya, the inside has a very thin layer of silicone or something, kinda neoprene like... The only protection I see it giving, is scratch protection and an edge, so the phone can't rest on it's screen.
I've been checking everyday, but so far the only other case is the orzly one that's the crappy silicone ones, or a purse looking foldable wallet thing.
Investigating generic bags etc for phones, or sleeves, but ya, someone needs to make a nice thick protected one that can actually handle drops.

Still awaiting my delivery of my Rugged case and Screen Protector email just saying its shipped like 15mins ago. Will give some feedback once I have them. I bought them mainly to prevent cosmetic damage to the phone from scuffs or dirt or a table when i put it down at a pub or somewhere public where I know it maybe not clean and something to keep the camera lens off the surface. so hope it manages that.

Just received my Razer Accessories moments ago:
Thin Case:
Perfect for minimal protection.
The cutouts, for the power & volume buttons, are a big welcome, especially for the power button.
1) Makes for ease of locating the buttons by feel.
2) Cutouts give an edge/lip, for your finger/thumb to rest while holding the phone with a more relaxed grip.
3) The edges are raised enough to allow for the phone to be placed face-down on a flat surface w/o any worries.
Some may wish for a bit more protection, notably @ the top & bottom, which is fully exposed. I'm pleased with the design as-is, those wanting the mentioned additional protection may want to give the OEM Razer rugged case a look.
Hammerhead USB-C earbuds:
1) Sound quality is good, hard for me to nail down, I'm not an audiophile, but, I feel safe in recommending them (FWIW they also work on my Note FE & Sony Xperia XZP, YMMV on other phones).
2) The volume rocker is nice, it's a true rocker, akin to a wall switch toggle, no searching by feel for tiny dots/arrows.
3) The earbuds are magnetized, to stick to each other while wearing not in-service, a nice touch to prevent losing & and a perfect solution to leave the carrying case at home (more on that later, )
I could do without the nuclear glow-in-the-dark LED-lit snake logo on each ear bud.
I would not have ordered these if I'd known about the glowing logos, but, it's not worth the bother of an RMA refund for me.
May try to black it out w/a permanent marker..
The provided travel pouch is nice, has a small loop for clipping/tethering to whatever.
The overall size of the travel case is not for the yoga pants/skinny-jean crowds, , of which I'm neither, perfectly acceptable for cargo pants/backpacks/etc....
Back to the more meaningful stuff regarding the audio:
As I stated, I'm not an audiophile, but, when using these with the built-in Dolby Atmos, making any adjustments to the settings seems to make no difference in sound quality whatsoever. Compared with another equalizer app & the difference is night & day, along with adjustments in the other equalizer making a difference in sound quality.
Razer/Dolby definitely has their work cut out for them, perhaps the latest update not only muted the external speakers overall volume, but, has broke Dolby Atmos in process.....
Summary:
Would I recommend the thin case:
Absolutely, however, as the name implies, minimal protection is the theme. Those wanting more protection would probably be better served with the Orzly line up ATM, at least until more mfgs step up to the plate.
The USB-C earbuds:
Yes,if for no other reason, you don't wanna chance other mfgs USB-C earbuds not working on this phone. Otherwise, save your money & use your earbuds of choice with the provided dongle.
I actually like the earbuds, especially the volume rocker, but, the neon logo on the earbuds temper my enthusiasm a bit.
Guess I'll grow my hair out a bit more & this point is moot....

[Review][Case]AGF Soft Shell w/leather insert

I just thought I may as well post a little review on this case. I bought this case at the same AT&T Corp store that I bought my SGS II on Sunday.
This case has a very high quality feel to it. The fitment was incredibly tight though. This is likely because it is designed to fit both the international and AT&T SGS II devices. This should be obvious if you look at the fourth pic. It clearly shows openings for both the international and AT&T NC mic positions.
I have to be honest, I only chose this case because the Case-Mate and Ballistic options were far too bulky for my taste. This case provides enough protection, for me anyway, without adding too much bulk. I really wasn't too keen on the leather insert at first either.
In the last few days of use, I have come to really like this case. I even appreciate the leather insert. It provides a high-end feel to the case and provides for outstanding grip. The front lip barely covers the chrome bezel. I actually had to work the case to get it to completely wrap around the front of the device. The end result is a case that looks and feels like part of the phone.
At this point, I can say I highly recommend this case for anyone who doesn't need a bulky case (although they provide more protection), and who also wants something more than just a gel cover.

Thanks for this review! I am looking for something less bulky than the case-mate. I'll have to check this out when I stop in my local ATT store. How much they selling them for?
I believe it was the usual rip-off price of $35. However, they give me 20% off on accessories at this store (frequent shopper there LOL). I am sure there are better deals, but I did not want to take a chance of messing up my phone before finding a case elsewhere. I paid full retail price so a few extra bones wasn't that big of a deal.
I was planning to return it, but I can't find anything similar online. If I find it online cheaper, I will buy it and return this one for sure. Either way, I am happy enough as it is.
I just bought this case today. I love it! Its like a mix between a hard case and tpu. If you had the bodyglove case on your captivate, you'll love this case. I like the look of the leather back, as I think it adds some class. This case doesn't add that much bulk either.
That was my first choice but the store rep couldn't get it to fit properly so I went with the ballistic even In this case the phone feels tiny in my Herman Munster hands after the infuse in a ballistic case I love this phone just gotta adjust to it

I also got this case. I like it a lot, it keeps the same of the phone without adding much bulk at all!
I got this case for my AT&T Galaxy S2 on launch day and I LOVE it. The Ballistics were just ridiculous. As far as getting the case on goes, I couldn't get it to fit at first but if you put it in bottom only, completely lip it; then top, completely lip it; then work the sides, it will always fit perfectly. Sometimes I feel like Gollum caressing my precious Ring with this baby.
Picked up this case today and absolutely love it. It doesn't add much weight to the phone and i feel it still keeps it slimness. As far as fitment goes. It does fit damn tight. I put it on the best I could at the store. I squeezed the sides to get the lip to go over but never could get the bottom corners to cover properly. Once I got home, I took it back out, then put it back on in reverse. This did the trick and it went on a lot easier.
I'm probably going to end up buying this case ASAP... I was interested in it for a while, but was afraid that it may have been too bulky.
Thanks for the feedback guys!

I just picked this case up from the AT&T store today. I have to say, it isn't a bad case but it adds a little bulk to the phone. I have another case coming in from Amazon tomorrow so we will see which one is better. I am not really a fan of the buttons being covered though since it makes it a little harder to press. I can already tell that this case will offer a lot of protection to any standard drop.
This is a great case!! been having it since Monday.
One thing to note is that if you are getting a discount on your cell phone plan you should also get that same discount on any accessories that you buy from AT&T.
I too chose this case with my purchase. it was the best of the lot,but I cannot keep this case. it just does not fit. I get 50% accessories on my plan. I went back to a store (not the one I got it from) thinking that they might have others. When I told the rep about the fit she said they are having returns for the same reasons. Found one that seem better on ebay waiting for it to come in. In the mean time I will kee this case to protect my baby, but will return within 30 days.
On another note anyone got the ivisor AG screen protector? not sure i am liking it. It seem to make my screen dim because of the non-glare, cant seem to find any good one on the net, they all seem to be for the international version. things are new so I will wait a bit.

What soft cases don't cover the buttons? If they didn't cover them, you wouldn't be able to reach them.

What problems are you having with fitment? While it does take a little bit to get it on right, it should still fit. I had problems with the bottom corners until I took it out then put in back on, starting on the opposite end.

The one I ordered and received from Amazon covers only the volume u/d buttons and has a cutout for the sleep/power button. I can press the power button just fine. I like this case better than the AGF from AT&T. It doesn't add a lot of bulk to the phone and was almost 1/3 the price so I will return it after work.

That one doesn't look bad. I see they made a large cut out where the power button goes. Don't really care for that big cutout but to each his own. Mine has actually become a lot easier over the last day or so. I guess the compound loosens up over time.
Just got my GS2 today and bought this case at the same time. I wanted something sleek after a Ballistic case on my Infuse and this seemed perfect.
As others have stated it's a tight fit. The sales rep couldn't get it on completely so I had to play with it myself. Another post stated putting bottom and top on first. I had better luck with the sides first. Maybe it is just loosening up after trying 2-3 times to get it on.
The volume and power buttons being covered are going to take getting used to as it takes a good press to work them.
To sum up, love the case so far. Seems to be good quality and good protection.
I tried this case on yesterday and did not like the fit. The ATT store only had one so I am going to try a few more to see if they fit better. It was tight and I couldn't keep the lip over the edges all the way around no matter how hard I tried.

Bundle Monster

I saw a Bundle Monster (a cover, screenguard and a skin) $30 (including shipping to India). I am waiting for my NT to arrive in another two weeks, is it worth buying this accesory set?
Well, I did. Reviews say that its a bit tight about the volume keys, but for overall value, this is a great buy.
My nook is still in transit though; I'll let you how it goes when I have a tablet to put this on...

Thank you.
My NT is with a friend in US, expecting it in a fortnight. I am ordering this on eBay tonight.
The case seems to fit well, but muffles the sound by a significant level. The skin you can put on it is somewhat cheesy, but hey, the wife liked it. Screen protector is what you'd expect; I had a lot of bubbles applying it, but thats user fail, not the product's fault. For the price I paid, it was great.
I would consider paying more for a case that included some folding prop-up feature. Also, if there's a way to get a case that doesn't muffle the sound quite so much, that too would be great. Other than that, I cant imagine paying more for a regular case.

I received the same 3pc kit... the only thing I use is the cover. The skin doesn't interest me, nor did the screen guard. (Reports say it blurs and dims things a bit, but make the fingers glide better.)
The cover is quite good. Fits well, closes well, and does make me feel my nook is protected. The knocks against it are the muffled sound (no big deal to me), the upper straps interfering with the power and volume buttons. This one is an issue, for volume anyway, but I just don't use the upper right hand strap (where the volume is) and it still seems to hold tight.
My cover is synthetic leather, and the whole kit and kaboodle was $18 with shipping. The price is fair and I would buy again.
Mine is supposed to be delivered on Tuesday. Bought it at Amazon for 18.99$ free shipping.
I have a cover that I bought in May for my Nook Color that I have now put on my Nook Tablet til I get something with a prop up stand or something like that. It fits better on my NT, and like mentioned above, I just leave the upper right hand strap off so it doesn't interfere with my volume button. Seems to still hold just fine that way. I like it, especially since I only paid $13 on Amazon for it!!
I hate screen protectors.
Just saying.
Ive bought this! I van testify that the case is well worth it and i would pay this price for just the case. It fits easily and nicely but the straps that hold the nook in cover both the power and volume up/down buttons and can sometimes actually press the buttons down. Leather feels nice and the magnet lock works well. I cant testify to the skin because i didnt use it (yet) and as for the screen protector i cant testify either because i already had a screen protector on.
Overall a good deal for the price.
Id recommend it.

Diztronic case

I've had a Diztronic case for both my GNex and S3, so naturally I had to get one of these for the DNA as soon as it was available on Amazon. Diztronics are simple, full backing and side rubber bumpers. There's no screen protectors I like the pronounced power and volume buttons on this case. It makes them much easier to use. As always, the Diztronic gives a solid feel to the phone. It no longer feels like it's going to slip and fly out of my hand. The back has openings for the camera, flash, and speaker, but not for the notification light.
If you're a minimalistic case owner, get this. Great stuff for $15 (incl. shipping).

The only thing that bugs me about these cases is that they appear to over up the back notification light.
It does... I might drill a hole for the rear notification light on my diztronic

I also ordered this (http://www.amazon.com/EMPIRE-Black-.../B00A83TNBG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354352083), so the back notification light being covered doesn't bother me. It's obnoxiously priced at $4 (worth about 50 cents), but does the job well. And even though it says for DNA, it will work for any phone.

Right...shows you how much it's made specifically for the DNA...
I just received this case today (ordered from Amazon; $12.50 with free 2 day shipping and no tax). This is definitely one of the nicer TPU cases I've had. There's a nice soft-touch, rubberized kind of exterior with the gel/plastic interior. It certainly inspires confidence in being able to protect the phone from a rough fall. It doesn't bulk up the phone too much, either.
If anyone is still on the fence about a case, give this one a close consideration. (It's so cheap, what have you got to lose?).

Yes. There's no "sweet spot" that Qi emits from to cover up. Just throw it on the pad and it works.

Well, I had my first 2.5 foot drop today. I was 3/4 asleep plugging it on my dining room table when it slipped and flew out of my hands. It landed on its length-wide edge (the side with the volume buttons) and I caught it with my feet after it hit so it didn't tumble. While this is an ideal fall, I'm happy to report there's not a scratch or crack and the case looks like I just took it out of the box. Worth three times the $15 to me at this point.

Great stuff for $15 (incl. shipping).

I'm in your boat, i had one for my GNex and S3 too. i love their cases. i bought one last week and it's already waiting for my DNA when it comes in tomorrow.
Just a heads up this case suffers from the same problem main others do, which is it doesn't play well with earphones/headphones with a bigger jack. I had to cut mine so that my shures would plug in.
Damn didn't notice that

thanks
thanks
Just received my case, and while i normally don't like cases, this one feels great. even better than my old Gnex one. i think the materials they used are a step up from what they used before. The only issue i have as mentioned above, is that the volume cutout is a bit small. I assume other cases would have similarly sized cutouts so its not a big issue but i will probably be cutting mine so it can fit my larger jacks.
Can anyone post pics of this case on the phone?

Transparent Cases Sony Xperia Z3

No doubt Xperia Z3 is a beautiful design and most of the owners are inclined to show its curves, shape and color (specially the copper version) to others. I have been looking for many transparent cases around from different brands. In order to check their reviews, I looked at the reviews for xperia z2 cases by all of them.
My findings: Cheaper options available like yousave are not as transparent as they claim. The gel and silicon based cases are not at all transparent. Most of the transparent cases are susceptible to scratches. I have read good reviews about the tough naked case by CaseMate but the case does not protect the front. Then there is Spigen's case (which is not yet available yet) which has good reviews but the side bumper is made of TPU which is not totally transparent and looks a cheap look. The best reviews I found was for Ringke Fusion case however one really bad thing i have read about it is that if the phone falls, the sides of the case scratch the color off the phone. The case claims to have shock absorption but I fail to understand how they claim it.
If anyone among you have used any case before, please guide and recommend and review.
I was looking for a transparent slim case like this, but I can't find any for the Z3 only the Z3c.

Mine was ordered on Oct. 2nd, the next day I received a Tracking Information, still today it just says Label created, when I finally could reach them they told me that they had production issues and was delayed, but the new shipping date was Oct. 24th then later another one called me (left a message earlier) and said that it was 27th, when I asked if it was the 24th or the 27th, he insisted that it was next monday, that of I wanted to keep the order they will offer me a 15% discount if not they could cancel it.
Due that I think that Ringke Fusion design is the best there is for our phones I kept it, I've been using the Fusion in my past 3 phones and are of great quality, honestly I don't know what happened to them this time as is the first time I have problems with them with an order or product.
i ordered this one, really like it...

I ordered the Case-Mate Barely There case. It looks and feels OK, although protection is minimal as you'd expect. The cut out on the left is rather large as you can see, to allow the official dock to be used.
The case scratches rather easily. I marked the back by sliding my phone a few centimeters across the desk within an hour of using the case.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, due to how easily it scratches.
I'd be really interested to see if anyone handsome photos ofnthe Ringke Fusion case.

This case looked to be the best. It got really great reviews for the iphone 6+, hopefully this one is built as good. I ordered it from eBay, I hope it has a descent opening to use a magnetic charger. It should be in Thursday, to bad I don't have my phone yet to try it on.

The review left by the user wasn't too positive. I ordered this today on Amazon and cancelled it. :/
I finally got mine about 10 days ago, I really love it and to me it looks great, they thought of everything, it even fits the Dual Sim D6633, the left side flap fits perfectly on it, plus they thought of all the Magnetic chargers and even adapters out there so I kind of think that this is the most universal cover for our z3.
BUT, I left them a negative feedback on eBay simply because that's no way of working on the Customer service side, no responses to emails for weeks and after offering me a 15% discount if I kept the order active, I'm still waiting for them to rely to the email I sent dating yes and asking about how was I suppose to receive the credit.
EDIT: SOLD!!
Just purchased the Ringke Fusion Case, what sold it for me mostly was the cool headphone jack protection.
My previous phones have ended up getting pretty corroded in there. And after taking shots with the xperia Z3 in my pool yesterday, the headphones attached macro application, was causing the phone to go nuts as soon as water entered the jack slot.
Another nice thing which annoyed me with a similar case, is that the cutout for the lens and flash was not very big, causing horrid shots when the flash was used. This case looks to have a good space around that flash to hopefully avoid this issue.
Will keep you posted after it arrives

I have this case and I hated it from the moment I got it. It came with a round sticker in the back. By simply trying to remove it, the case got very badly scratched. I was furious. I keep my cases 100% clean and this piece of garbage got damaged by nothing and within 2 minutes of getting it out of the packaging. I was going to return it immediately, but the other cases I bought were even worse in other aspects.
This case covers all the buttons, the MicroSD/SIM card slot, and it has a plug for the audio port. The magnetic and USB ports are not covered. I had to cut the audio plug off because it was putting too much pressure on my earphones.
The lips in front of the case give the phone some protection; they're thick in my opinion. I feel this case will protect the phone in case of a drop. It's thicker than I'd like, but it's definitely not a "thick" case. The fit is not tight at all, so I believe it won't damage or displace screen protectors. It's not going to fall off the phone, but it's not difficult to put it on at all.
This is my daily driver because I haven't been able to find anything less bad. I was looking for an ultra thin, transparent case, but this one had great reviews all over the Internet.

True! When i got mine, i wondered why it's not as clear as I'd expected it. So i tried wiping it with my handkerchief to see if it's just some dirt or leftover adhesive from the protective film. To my shock, what i was wiping was a scratch already, and i made it even worse by rubbing it. Good thing i have the white z3 compact act so it's not too noticeable. But really disappointed with it's quality. I waited two months for this cause i live in the Philippines. Sigh. Rinke's Fusion case isn't as nice as it advertises.
UPDATE: apologies, there was a sticker on the rear panel. That's why it wasn't as clear and it easily "scratched". my phone looks okay now. Haha
You should take a look at http://aliexpress.com - it might takes 3-4 weeks to ship, but you will find literally a ton of transparent cases from 2$ (incl. shipping).
Got mine also from there - took 3.5 weeks.

Ordered...but cases??

Put in my pre order but that's a lot of glass with the 2 screens and folded back is my plan if there is no peek feature for notifications...
Hearing its shipping with a bumper in white but has any seen any ideas on cases.
That's an expensive phone and 100% different form size to get used to...seeing dropping it as easy till you get use to it.
I have been thinking about the same thing, I think it kind of depends on how you want to carry your Duo. I think there will be some challenges because many common case options will either mess with the aesthetics of the Duo or Cause problems with the folding action of the device.
Some options may be:
-There are Skins available that will protect it from case scratching.
-There are glass protectors that can be applied to the screens. (Possibly the external panels but I am not certain on that one)
-There is a type of belt clip that reminds me of the old Blackberry holsters (By Kensington)
-There are generic belt holsters that will likely work.
-There are also belt pouches that could be used to carry the Duo with some accessories (that will likely be a bit much for most people tho)
Cheers,
BR
It's definitely going to be difficult to completely protect. I'm curious as to how well the bumper adhesive will hold up to day after day of pulling it out and putting it back in pockets. It looks like the lip of the bumper would be prone to catching or grabbing pocket seams or other rough materials.

Same here, I have been considering case options, I don't want it too snug so the case does not stress the bumpers and cause them to fall off. I like to have something that protects, allows easy carry with good access. I don't want something too big that will be cumbersome. A fine line between too little and too much

I am pretty sure that is retail demo mode. Because i went to best buy and they let me use it before they put it in demo mode and it was smooth as butter. tested it after demo mode and it was horrible.
Went to an At&t store today and got to spend about a hour with it...the phone was really nice, crazy thin but its just super awkward to text and type.
The the keyboard is wide enough that you have to use 2 hands and just couldn't get comfortable.
I would download swiftkey because lots of mistakes typing with the standard keyboard.
Camara was average quality and even running two apps, youtube and email it just was hard to type and hold the phone in book mode and feel comfortable.
I did put the bumper and zero protection. I see a lot of people dropping this phone.
I think for the cost I'm going to wait it out and see what the reviewers and influencers say...Coming from a 5g phone its going to be hard to take a step backwards.
Interested to see what you all think once you get it in hand.

It is Swiftkey, (shows in the specs) that said, If I recall, there is some customization that makes it act certain ways in certain situations.

The bumpers are lint magnets. Not sure how long I will be keeping them on
I don't think they are going to offer any protection anyway...
It will be interesting to see in a few weeks the post of people dropping these and the outcome!
This does not look to offer total protection, bit I dig the folio style and functionality.

Try some of the Nintendo DS Carry cases that are still around. It has virtually the same form factor and I can confirm the Duo fits snugly inside of them.

I got this case for two reasons: 1 ) I drop everything. Repeatedly. 2) I'm not using my Duo as a phone. In fact I turned the ringer off so spam calls don't bother me.
It's a high quality case as you'd expect from Otterbox, but it does work by sticking the Duo to it with adhesive, so you can't remove it. With the case on, you cannot fold the Duo completely around into "phone mode" so if you do plan to use it as a phone, do NOT get this case. The other annoying bit, when I do fold it around most of the way, the duo turns off the right side screen instead of the left that's now buried in the case, so you either have to do the "double tap" to swap screens, or just don't do that.
Also, the pen slot is REALLY tight on this case. Tight enough I put my 2nd gen surface pen in it and it pulled the pen apart trying to get it back out. I bought the slim pen (hate it) and it works much better there because there's not a back cap to pull off. I think over time it'll slide out easier as the elastic stretches.
It reminds me of when I did sales back in the early 90's and carried a dayplanner everywhere. That's essentially what your Duo becomes with this case - a digital dayplanner.
It's hard to play games on it due to the folding issue and how much weight the case adds to the device. All in all, I'm very pleased with the case, but I think a lot of people won't be due to those limitations.
