LG G3 software update - version LS990ZVI - Sprint LG G3

I just got the LS990SVI update on my Boost Mobile G3. Anyone know what's included in this update? My Android version still shows as 5.0.1 and the Android security patch level is still 2016-11-01, the same as it was before applying the update. Could this be the wpa2 fix for KRACK?
Android Version 5.0.1
Android Security Patch level 2016-11-01
Baseband version MPSS.DI.2.0.1.c1.13-00053-M8974AAAAANPZM-1
Kernel Version 3.4.0
Build Number LRX21Y
Software version LS990ZVI
Security Software Version MDF v1.1 Release 3

I got the same update on Sprint lg g3 LGLS990a have no idea what it does ... Nice how they are able to not give any options for updates. I know it is not running any better.

Need a link to download the software

Any updates yet on rooting ZVI?

Rooting ls990 zvi
Guys, has anyone figured out how to root lg g3 ls990zvi. I flashed custom rom and waited till getting the last update so I root, but I have had no success in rooting it. I have tried both kingoroot apk and kingoroot pc

There is now a verified method, thankfully.

I take it you are unable to root device with build number 10? My understanding is that builds 8 and up are unable to root as Sony blocked Djrbliss root method. I know Nesquick95 emailed asking for assistance in rooting unrootable builds. As of now there is not a way to downgrade your build. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Right, it seems to be actually no way for rooting the #10 kernel. This is a hard thing to do, even harder for our well-protected tablet.
I don't expect that much of my mail to M. Rosenberg. He's a busy man and has no obvious reason for spending time on that rooting work except (maybe) the challenging one.
We will probably have to wait until ICS arrives on the Tablet S... There will be much more users and devs involved in ICS rooting process than in tablet-specific Honeycomb.
thank u guys
I am also interested in it
I bought a tablet from china..It doesn't have even Android market..Now i am using 3 party downloaders..But my version is 10. So I cannot root also...
yeah i didnt do all my research before the rooting and i kept wondering why the exploit wouldnt work. finally looked alittle more into it and realized i have build 9 -facepalm-
So i just bought my tablet yesterday and i didnt update it. well i updated everything just now and now i have build 10! i remember reading on the djrbliss forum about build 10 downgrading somehow so ill look into it alittle more and keep you guys posted.
---------- Post added at 03:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:22 PM ----------
omg mine downgraded also! i installed my final update and i checked the kernal....it went back to build 5 #1 so here goes nothing!
well..you're the third that had this...maybe sony rolled out a background downgrade for some unknown reason??? but why...

[Help] SCH-I545 NK4 won't update to Lollipop (Strange stock rom issue)

I'm new to the forums, though I did look around for a similar issue before registering to post this. Hope this isn't redundant!
Anyway, down to brass tax: I have an SCH-1545 from Verizon, and at one time had Hyperdrive 20 running which required the use of Safestrap. For a number of reasons I eventually went back to stock rom and being new to Android may have may a few crucial errors, though I haven't bricked my phone. I believe I've somehow flashed an improper stock rom, even though it does 'work' for the most part. The only problems are a few GUI bugs, mostly delays when using the keyboard, and the fact that when I try to update to Lollipop from the popup that incessantly invades my homescreen it fails and boots back into 4.4.2.
If anyone has any ideas or knows what I should do, PLEASE ask me any other information you need and help me sort this out.

If your phone doesn't update to lollipop then you are very lucky man. You should never update to lollipop because your bootloader will be even more locked with "Secure Download". This is mainly why i hate lollipop and all samsung lollipop smartphones.
Your Kitkat is very good i'm sure you do not want bugs so you would not like to update to lollipop.
A LOLLIPOP SMARTPHONE DOESN'T EVEN VALUE MORE THAN A SCREW.

Can you tell me if I can flash this?Stock ROM for LG F60 (D390AR)...

Hi guys, I'm the owner of a crappy LG F60 (D390AR). It has Lollipop but l want to go back to KitKat. I couldnt find the stock rom but i've found the LG OpenSource Code Distribution Site, where I found a file (.zip) that it seems to be ROM, or the code. The file has the name of the stock rom : LGD390AR v10 ( where v10 is KitKat. Lollipop is v20) and it weights 282 Mb instead of the Lollipop's 978Mb, but I guess it has not GAPPS in it.
how do I know if i can flash this? If I try it could I brick my phone?
The site is HERE
Thanks in advance
KDZ file
There are stock kdz's, But it takes away root access to the device so you will have to re-root (if you still want root).
http://lg-firmware-rom.com/ <--- You will have to enter your IMEI code so it can find your specific stock rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190 <--- Then you will have to flash it with LG Flash Tool 2014.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hk79nNkqtI <--- (A guide on how to use it)
Good luck!
Thank you very much! That site is useful but only gives me the last firmware, I mean Lollipop. And I need KitKat. Anyway to get it?

Thanks Intellinet! That ROM v10, is for another company but I will try.
And yes, I have the L official update.
A wacky story
Ready for it?
I say the LG D390 F60 really falls short of a lot of features: internal memory, for starts.
But, agreed it holsters in qualities like design, speed and remarkable battery mileage, it is still some of the greatest phones LG issued, and this brand had put a ton of sweat in it.
Now, mine is virtually indestructible - I've owned one for several years, which now has long been my "fallback" phone.
What's weird?
Well, besides it having been taken for a pretty dead bricked paperweight quite a few times, and overly and successfully flashed - lately with Lollipop 5.X, which it is running right now - it ended up making a true phone flash expert out of me., and a multi-brand flash tool ??????????.
I started unbricking my own, then friends', then, driven by word-of-mouth, the neighborhood populace began queuing at the front door to dump actual handbag loads of several-brand bricked phones at my feet - and I brought most back to life - and even made quite a little extra pocket cash in the spare-time.
The end.
Bricked phones, anyone? Bring'em on!

Thanks for the reply, do you know if there is a guide on how to do an update for this device? Sorry when it comes to these types of problems, i'm not always sure what steps to follow
the thing is its a mtk device so you gonna need 3 tools apps for pc and files
firstly you gonna need the the lollipop file to flash, where to get that i have no clue( i think its packed differently than my samsung cm12 files i work with.then you gonna need the flashing software for mtk devices and your gonna need bootloader unlocked and some drivers for your OS.I fixed a mtk device a few months back and i do have all the files names somewhere.
1-mediatek vcom drivers
2-scatter file(device specific)
3-lollipop img file
4-mtk droid tools
guides are on this site and google, thats how i fixed a bricked pixie2 phone

I received this as well. I went ahead and accepted it. I know they are working on root, but I am probably going to replace the V10 with something else soon anyway. Update went smooth and no issues after. as rsswga stated it looks like it is just a security patch.

I went ahead and updated as well to the new software. Two updates in two months. At least they're paying attention to this phone. For the most part.
I am from India and has LG V10 H961N dual sim verizon model. I don't get any OTA and I used kdz file from link below to update to recent patch.
I flashed using uppercut and it works fine. the build number MRA58K is same for me.
https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h961n-firmwares/
So:
Given that the likelihood of root not being achieved, I'm wondering the following:
If this update is more specifically related to security, is it conceivable that it could be taken on my rooted phone, or is it tied to a specific version of Verizon/Android OS?
