Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0+ Chargers? - Razer Phone Accessories

Are any of these on the market? I can't find them for the life of me.

Same here. Been checking amazon every other day, can't find squat for QC 4. Remember the 4+ is the safety features on the phone, don't believe there will be "4+ chargers".
I can only find QC3 in chargers or battery banks.
I did find Razer chargers for 25$ on amazon... Which is decent, I was afraid they might charge like 40 bucks.

Only one I have found is the one razer sells for 39.99

Yeah I was looking for Ravpower/Anker/Aukey ones however they dont have anything QC4+ yet. Not that i bought the power bank for the phone as ive yet to go low enough on the battery during a working day where i have had to plug the phone in for a charge. 45mins or podcast/music 30mins lunch of netflix and 45mins at the end of the day for podcasts/music and sending the odd email or message during the day battery hasnt took a hit for needing anything to carry around.
Question
I would need a 2nd charger to keep in my bag and it raises the question of does QC4+ require a certain USB cable or will any longer USBC work fine as i was going to use the supplied one for out and about as its 1m and buy a larger Nation Union one like 10m for my room but didnt want to stress a cable or blow the phone or charger.
I found this link however most brands have only QC3 - https://www.ravpower.com/qc.html

00178273 Hama "Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ 4+" Charger, maybe this one is Q.C. 4 charger but for selected country

As far as I know Razer Phone 2 is the only phone that ships with a QC 4.0 charger and it probably is the only one available right now. It is available for $24.99 in the US at Razer.
Found one at Amazon.com for $15.99. Though, it isn't of any reputed brand, the reviews are good. Also it ships to India for around $29.
I could find a QC 4.0 car charger on AliExpress with both USB A and C ports. Not sure how genuine their claim is. Price $7.33.
Apart from that there are makers of QC 4.0 chargers but they don't specify how to buy them.
1. Portway Technologies
2. Everwin
Note: I have noticed that these chargers require a USB Type C to Type C cable.

battery charger

do there exist any battery chargers that are not cradles? I don't need a cradle. But I need to be able to charge my spare battery when I'm travelling. I'm not going to carry my cradle while flying around. But I don't see any battery chargers for sale, I mean ones like we use for our camera batteries. What's the deal?
also, are there any standards in batteries within HTC? or does each model use a different type of battery

thanks for the link... for $10 US Dollars, its worth trying out...
i received the charger and - so far - it appears to be working very well. one plus is that it has a USB cord that allows you to use your laptop or a cigarette lighter adapter to charge your battery. it also has the built-in prongs to plug into the wall. certainly a good investment (so far)...
What? I thot the USB cord was to use it as a USB charger for the actual PDA? Ur saying it can charge the battery from a laptop too? Sounds good. Now if only my TC would actually get delivered to me...

yes, the charger came with a USB-to-USB cable so that i can use the charger from my laptop or any device that supports a USB connection.
I use this one...
http://www.boxwave.com/products/versachargerpro/index.htm
It has a car charger, wall socket charger, airplane charger all in one!
it has modules for american and european plug outlets as well
It's a little expensive but well worth it, cause it basically takes 3 different pieces and combines them into one
I'm waiting for that one to arrive as well, actually my TC is so delayed and we get it until next month...
But I thought the battery charger was also capable of being used as a charger.
anyway, as for the aeroplane charger I've never been on an airline that has a charging socket. Maybe you need to be in business class?
Yeah, only a select few airlines have the chargers in the seats...but either way it's good to have something like that when it's available...BTW, how much did you pay for the spare battery?
I also bought that Battery Adapter PRO thing from boxwave...it looks pretty cool, it uses AA batteries in a box to recharge your phone, and it says it can sustain 5 charge cycles from one set of batteries. Looks kinda cool. I hope to receive that, and the cradle I bought from them tomorrow.
Not enough power to charge direct to the phone.

I have tried to use the USB charge direct to the TC, but It cannot provide enough power to charge direct the Phone:
USB Travels Charger:
Input: AC 110-240v 50/60Hz
Output: DC 4.2V 350mA (Charge the second battery)
Output: USB 5.0V 800mA** (I tried to use this to charge my TC)
HTC original wall charger:
Input: AC 100-240v 50/60Hz
Output: miniUSB 5V 1000mA**
However, If you only want to get power from notebook or car to charge the second batter, it's OK.
Actually 800mA is OK to top up, but only if your batt has say 15%+ left.
My battery is on order, HTC official one for 29 pounds.
I wonder about the ebay ones for US$5, but I've been burnt on a camera batt once, brand new off ebay, canon packaging $20 vs $40 in store, max charge was like 20%...
Tho now I think of it 30P is a lot...

a second turbo charger

i am very pleased with my motorola turbo charger that accompany my nexus 6 and i would like a second one (european edition). Where can i find one? (i have searched everywhere i can!!) Any help is appreciated
I'm not sure about European ones but I would check amazon.co.uk or which ever countries amazon you are in. I have 4 Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 chargers (2 Motorola, 1 incipio and 1 power partners) they all work the same so brand doesn't matter as long as it's quick charge 2.0 certified. I would recommend not buying the Motorola version because its expensive compared to other brand and its rather large in comparison. One of my chargers supports the higher voltage (20v quick charge) but no device so far can take advantage of it just yet. I would just search for quick charge 2.0 and see what pops up unless you are dead set on the Motorola one. Below is a picture of the Motorola vs the Power Partners one.
Couple of weeks ago I've bought Aukey turbo charger on Amazon.de.
Seems to work just fine, but comes without micro usb cable, so make sure to
have proper one (for turbo charging) or buy one.
There seems to be a few new options slowly coming onto amazon.
Anker makes a single port charger for like 20 bucks.
Personally I am waiting for someone like anker to make a multi-port charger that supports QC 2.0 across the 4 to 6 charging ports.
Basically this with upgraded internals.

There should be a plethora of quick charge 2.0 compatible chargers since Qualcomm isn't charging a licensing fee to use the technology. Give it time and there will be more. I know in the US there are 30+ different QC 2.0 chargers on Amazon so the other country specific ones should follow suit.
Can anyone tell me if the Samsung Adaptive Fast charger will work as well as a licensed charger? I only want to know because I like the fact that it is all white and a few Amazon reviews point out that some of the aftermarket versions burned out the charger port or phone. I know that the adaptive charger will be faster than others, but will it be as fast as the stock Moto charger?

Its a QC 2.0 charger assuming your talking about the one that comes with the Note 4. It's even on Qualcomms website if you look for it under quick charge form what I remember. It should work just fine, do you have a link to the Amazon page? Its odd how people claim it burned out their outlets but things happen.

Sure: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/cr/B00QTJZ3D0/ref=mw_dp_cr?qid=1425351571&sr=8-6
3 on that page. I think there was one on aukey that a person had updated but I can't find it now. I specifically remember it because they had rated a 5 and came back to update it.
I've looked everywhere on the quick charge page. I don't see the note 4 charger on there. They always run half off coupons, so it would be cheap when back in stock, plus it's not a knockoff if you but straight from Sammy. It's weird because it maxes at 2 or 5v I think instead of 9v like the others. (My numbers may be off on voltage but Sammy's is lower than Motorola)
If not, maybe Motorola will run an accessories sale sometime this decade.

I have no issues with the other QC 2.0 chargers that I run. I read those reviews and I personally wouldn't trust that company given the number if people with complaints until they fix what's causing the issues. I have 2 Motorola QC's a Power Partners one and finally a Incipio QC car charger. I haven't had any issues with any of them and the Power Partners one is rated at a max of 30W. I haven't seen my Nexus 6 go beyond 9V personally so the 20V and 12V that it offers won't really matter until devices support that. I would go with one that people have tried without issues to play it safe. If you own a Samsung phone they do give half off when you register it on their site if I remember correctly. Its been a while since I've owned any Samsung phone besides my wife's S5 which we got rid of a while ago. I use my car quick charge daily and I haven't had any issues at all. I stopped caring about seeing how much battery I could squeeze out of my phone and instead I bleed it dry so to speak then quick charge it when it drops below 50%. I carry my spare Moto charger in my backpack and it works fine (I got it for free using a $50 gift card to Motos site) otherwise I wouldn't psy $35 for another one.

I think I read somewhere that they don't even go up to 6, but I could be wrong. Thanks for the insight. I might get a certified, but I would still like to know if the Samsung Adaptive Fast Charger will work the same as the Motorola Turbo Charger for the Nexus 6.

Voltages go in steps usually 5,9,12,20V for phone chargers but the actual charging voltage may vary. If I I recall correctly it does charge at 9V but only in certain situations.

S8+: Does it matter what brand you use for a WIRELESS CHARGER?

Should I use the one by Samsung so as not to degrade the battery?
or it doesn't matter at all?
What brands would you recommend?
It doesn't matter. I use 2 official wireless chargers and one 3rd party pleeson brand.
Not one difference.
Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
I don't know, after the latest system update on verizon my 3rd party wireless charger stopped working. Only charges about 20% then stops.
Shouldn't be. But I'm waiting for the new convertible one to be on sale.
No problem with my choetech stand fast wireless charger.
The S8 supports most wireless chargers, but it's best to make sure the charger you pick was made for at least the S7 if you want to get the wireless fast charge function.
The transmitter for the wireless charger also needs to line up with the right spot on your phone or it might not make a proper connection. I had this issue with my S6 where the spot on the phone was lower than the charger, so I had to put something below the phone to line it up with the charger.
Just saw this fast wireless charger deals on Slickdeals! Hope useful for you: https://slickdeals.net/f/10178316-choetech-qi-wireless-charging-stand-for-galaxy-note-5-s8-s7-s6-edge-and-more-16-ac-fsss?src=SiteSearchV2_SearchBarV2Algo1
I snagged the official 2017 wireless charger for a steal at best buy. I showed them an online add from cdw and they took it!!! Only cause it was the last one in stock and they wanted to slang it quick. Lady at the register was surprised I got the deal.
Bought a Tronsmart Chocolate Bar charger. Works just fine, though I plan to move the charger circuit (replacing the microUSB port with a soldered USB cable or even a QC3.0 power brick) into a 3D printed phone stand.
I have a normal diy wireless charging coil. It heard up more than it charges.
I bought a Black Web wireless charger from Walmart originally as a temporary charger until we got in the Samsung one. Honestly not going to bother. It works well enough, no heat and holds the phone at 100% once charged.
I looked around on Amazon and it seems to be identical to several they sell, just different branding.
I'm content at the moment, was only $20.
My Nexus 6 charger worked only at normal speeds. I like the magnet in it so ordered magnets to attempt to modify the Blackweb charger. They aren't necessarily needed, just something I want to attempt.

Best 3rd Party USB C PD 18w charger for my Pixel

Been looking for a cheaper alternative to the Google branded charger for my Pixel and got this Choetech one. Did a quick search and didn't find any reviews for it yet, so I figured this may be able to help someone.
The brick itself is just about the same size as the Google charger, and the phone went from 0-50% in about 35 minutes, which is right around what I've tested the stock charger at. So their claims of being USB-PD compliant seem to hold up. Ampere showed normal charging figures throughout, a bit lower than the Google charger overall, but not enough to where I'd notice day to day.
So if anyone is looking for a charger to use as a secondary charger I think this will fit the bill quite well.
I've had this same charger at work since my 6P. Slightly slower than the OEM one, but when I'm at work I barely notice. Two thumbs up!
Amazon link or similar plis? I can't find any Choetech with USB-C connector in my local Amazon store.
EDIT: found it. Thanks anyway.

What USB C cords are you guys purchasing to charge your OP6T?

This is my first USB C device so I don't have a lot of information if I should be just purchasing random USB C cords on Amazon to charge my OP6T at work. Any suggestions or information on what type of cord I should get would be helpful. I would like to purchase 2-3 cords in different lengths if possible (one for work as mentioned, one for the car, and one for my battery pack).
USB c has been out long enough to trust the reviews of them on Amazon. Just check the ratings and read some of the reviews
I'll put in a high vote for anything Anker.

I have a USB-A--> USB-C cable from Anker. Definitely can't complain.
I have been using the Aukey cables without any issues so far. Get the longer ones for data and the shorter ones if you are only using it for charging.
I've had a couple that worked fine elsewhere but would not dash (yeah I now they lost the right to use that name) charge my OnePlus devices, I'd read the reviews and make sure you're ordering something that's going to leverage your charger. I've got a couple older OnePlus cables in the drawer which I'm assuming will work but I cant prove it until the 6th.
If you want fast charge you have to use the originals. If you want spares you can get some in AliExpress for a reasonable-ish price.
If you want cables to use with batteries or don't care about fast charge, I find that TOPK cables are pretty good, cheap too. They usually come in several colours, have cord and are pretty flexible.
An engineer at Google, Benson Leung, took it upon himself to test many cables for standards compliance. I cannot get his site to load, but I found this article that lists some of his approved cables. http://buyandroidchargers.com/list-of-benson-leungs-usb-c-google-engineer-usb-c/
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00S8GU544/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_dkTJBbN069J3Z
Based on the recommendation here https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/accessories/ordinary-usb-cables-support-dash-t3838411
I wanted a longer cable to plug into my computer, as well as a couple of additional cables to charge at work and in my car. I am also purchasing the OPPO charger for work as well, since it can be had cheaper than the OnePlus wall wart.
These are replacing worn out and slower type C cables.
I thought if you want fast charge you have to use the charger. The cable can be any quality cable

AFAIK USB type A side has additional pins for DASH/Fast Charge. That's why it won't work on any other cables.

I read on OnePlus site that if you want fast charge you have to use their supplied cable or equal too.
I have a few of these aftermarket ones from amazon, work fine with dash charging.

I was going to say, I haven't had a look see for a while but this morning I hit Amazon and there are a number of cables that work with dash charge according to the reviews. Some that don't, also according to the reviews. My big takeaway was half the price of the official goods so I went ahead and ordered the same one the fellow above me linked because it's the first one I ran into that was 6 ft instead of a meter. Glad to here someone got there first and it worked: Amazon reviews are good but I have more faith in a thumbs up from a fellow phone person.
Anker all the way.

Can you link a fast charge cord or adapters from AliExpress? I swear I never know what's fake on that website. I've ordered a few things from them before but only on smaller purchases.
I ordered one from Amazon .. it comes from shenzen China. Where most electronics are made in China..
It's literally a official OP cable but packaged in a generic box.
I tested and it works for dash charge..
It's exactly the same except it says dash on the tip .
And it was under $7
I'll post a link of anyone shows interest

I asked my friend in Asia to buy me some Oppo chargers and OP 1.5m dash cable. It costs around $3 for the Oppo charger and $4 for the cable. Also bought the dash car charger for under $10.
