Big thanks to @Valera1978 for all his work !
Enjoy ..

Nice one. Thx. Using RR Releases on my s5 mini and im quiet happy. Good to see it on the A..
One question... will FlipFlap work? With the LineageOS the magnetic Sensor was dead.

Installed it now. And yes .... Magnetic Sensor doesn´t work. Is there a chance to activate it? Another Kernel perhaps or an Application? But the rest seems to work flawless. I love RR. Best Rom ever for my usage.

@Sascha_77 @Shadowghoster
Quick test ..
Pls download this file .. gtaxlwifi-lte_lid_overlay.apk
Pls place the file like this ...
1. If one is not present (it won't be by default) go into a terminal emulator on your device
and execute:
>su
>mount -o remount rw /system
>mkdir /system/vendor/overlay
2. Now copy the overlay package into that directory:
>cp /sdcard/data/framework-res-overlay.apk /system/vendor/overlay
And reboot your device .. does it work now ?
If yes, this will be included into next ROM ..
Cheers

Will test when I'm back home tonight and edit this post.
Edit: moved the file to /system/vendor/overlay and rebooted, but the cover still doesn't work.

File is in place but it doesn´t work after Reboot.

Can i do dirty installation? Or only clean again?

This is a very pleasant surprise!! Is battery life ok? That seems to be only issue I have when going to aosp
---------- Post added at 06:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:32 AM ----------
Any chance of overclock or voltage control?

I did a dirty flash of the 'quick release' (RR-N-v5.8.5-20171201-gtaxlwifi-Unofficial.zip) over the previous version, wiping cache/dalvik first. The 'flipflap' magnetic case unlocks and locks now, its a good build.
First impressions is that battery drain is about as good as stock, more time needed to give a better answer.

That was quick. Thanks. Dirty flashed it. Now the Sensor is Working. Good Job.
EDIT: If your Contactapp is crashing simply freeze or remove it and install the one from playstore.

Very nice rom and stable.gps do not work. I fixit please?

[ROM][CM13][CAF] DARK ROM [Optimized][Delta Updates][08/21]

Hi guys,
I've been building an extra lean CM13 ROM for hammerheadcaf with a few added features. A lot of CM packages have been stripped down, only the bare minimum is built to provide a fast and stable ROM. That gives you much more freedom as you can install exactly what you really want from the Playstore. You can install most of the missing packages manually, they are available in a flashable zip on the server (see second post).
Key features
ROM comes with TrueSight v3.0 builtin (with a few of my own tweaks)
Up to date MOB30Y vendor from Myfluxi's and Kylon's repo
Option to choose between dialer and voice assist in lockscreen
Option to hide next alarm from expanded status bar and lockscreen
Clock font and size customizable
Hide bluetooth icon when disconnected
Disable immersive messages
HeadsUp timeout and blacklist/whitelist
Longpress power button while screen off to trigger flashlight
Battery saver options
Keyboard options
SSID in status bar
Network traffic in status bar
Volume steps
Navigation bar size
Seconds in status bar
SuperSU builtin
AdAway and Xposed builtin (in developer options)
Synapse builtin
OpenDelta builtin for delta updates
ViPER4Android builtin (and working in Enforcing)
Optimizations
Every effort has been made to optimize the ROM the most :
ROM built with SABERMOD GCC 5.4 and DRAGONTC 4.0 (O3, Graphite, Strict aliasing, Polly, OpenMP, Pthread, LTO/ThinLTO, Krait tunings and lots of extra optimization flags)
KERNEL built with SABERMOD GCC 7.0 (O3, Graphite, OpenMP and lots of extra optimization flags)
Java built with OpenJDK 8
Removed some useless debugging
Installation
You will need latest radio (2.0.50.2.29) and latest bootloader (HHZ20h)
Latest TWRP recovery 3.0.2-0 for hammerheadcaf is highly recommended (and mandatory for delta updates)
If coming from any other ROM
Backup first... always backup first
Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik cache
Install ROM
Install GAPPS (opengapps are recommended)
Enjoy !
If coming from a previous build of mine
Backup (you know it)
Dirty flash
Enjoy! (if anything goes wrong, clean flash)
Xposed app is preinstalled and available in the developer options menu. BUT, you will have to install the Xposed framework in recovery if you want it. Afterward, it will survive dirty flashes, so you only need to flash it once. Please, be smart and only install required Xposed packages. Installing too many packages can cause weird behavior and I won't be responsible for it.
Download
To download the whole ROM
AndroidFileHost
To download delta updates
Go to Settings/About phone/System updates and use the OpenDelta app to automatically download delta updates.
Delta Updates
(Information to be confirmed later)
Here are a few explanations on how to use delta updates. First, you will need to keep the first full build you downloaded on your sdcard (any full build that have NIGHTLY in the filename will do). I recommend that you keep it on the root of your sdcard until you flash a new build with the OpenDelta app. After that, the OpenDelta app will automatically place a new flashable zip inside the OpenDelta folder that will be used for the next delta updates. At that point you can delete the build on the root of your sdcard, but you will need to keep the (latest) file in the OpenDelta folder at all times to keep the delta updates working.
You will also notice a folder named FlashAfterUpdate in the OpenDelta folder. As its name suggests, any flashable zip files that you put in this folder will be flashed automatically after the update. I recommend that you put all your extra flashable zips there, cause if you use the app to auto-flash the latest build, it will reboot automatically after updating, which means you won't have the opportunity to manually flash other zips.

Extra Packages
On the server you will find a file named ExtraPackages_date.zip which contains a few apps that are not available out of the box in my builds (see list). You won't have to flash it every update, since there is a survival script. I suggest you open the zip and remove the files you don't need. As such, there are 2 browsers (Browser and Gello) and 2 cameras (Camera2 and Snap).
Here is what's included:
- Browser
- Gello
- Calendar
- Camera
- Snap
- Eleven
- Gallery
- Messaging
AudioFX
Those who prefer using AudioFX instead of ViPER4Android can now download a flashable zip named V4AtoAudioFX_date.zip that I uploaded on the server. It will uninstall V4A and install AudioFX. You won't have to flash it every update, since there is a survival script.

Edit: which gapps do you recommend? I have been using openapps, however with cm the compatibility seems to be lacking. So I switched to slimgapps, however, they have no launcher nor keyboard with them. I can find apks for the launcher and key board, but I don't think you can install them without a launcher correct?
Well this looks good. Just one question have you removed CM Theme Engine? Not that I'm complaining, just wanted to know.
Theme engine is still in.
See second post for info on how to manually install launcher and keyboard
Seems nice, do you use JustArchi's optimizations? And can i uninstall V4A easily enough because i want to use customized one?
And opengapps do work since 25.4, just remember to not use old builds you possibly have lying around.

Well I use a lot more optimization than JustArchi's. But to answer the question, I have an equivalent form of the O3 optimization JustArchi has. About V4A, if you want to use a custom apk, you can easily replace the one provided with the one you like. If it contains other mods, than it might not work as easily. I don't recommend flashing any V4A package on top of the ROM, but if you link me to file I can take a look if there is a way to make it work.

I plan using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/viperaudio-viperatmos-3-8-sq-driver-t3289075 ViperAtmos 4.8 sony beats edition, still not sure if i use that specific one, there are million different versions
I tried following your instructions to put the apks in the sys/app folder but I do not have such folder. I think I am missing something? I tried putting them in the data folder however did not get installed during initial boot. If you could let me know that would be awesome!
New build is up!!!
I changed my mind and added back Trebuchet (CM launcher) and the keyboard, so you won't have to mess around when you first flash the ROM (or a new build for that matter).
I won't release new builds everyday, expect them once or twice a week.

Just for the sake of answering your question (that might be useful later), you have to mount the system partition before you can access it. Then you will see what is inside that partition. It is litterally impossible that you don't have a system/app folder, all prebuilt apps go there (and in system/priv-app).
I appreciate the quick answer! I think I will just go with the new build though lol! Been looking for a ROM that is stripped down and optimized to the fence! I have been running truesight as well so the duo is perfect!
Once a week is more than enough! I'll move to this rom when i have time. One thing you could do is aroma installer, thats a whole new thing to learn but if you feel like bored or want to try something new, it would be very useful. One thing i can think of now is adding and removing apps. You could use something like Cataclysm as reference
EDIT: Do you have the TrueSight UKM thing included? Thats one more thing to add if not.
One more question, lol. Does the adb work? The cm 13 build that i currently have crashes when i turn adb on. Not sure if TrueSight causes this or what. If you havent tried it, be aware that if it does crash for you too, you probably cant turn it off anymore. That happened to me, the phone was very slow when it was in lockscreen after boot and when i tried to unlock it, it just rebooted. So take backup if you think you want to try it

Nope UKM is not installed. At first I had Synapse prebuilt and UKM preinstalled (before releasing), but I had too many problems with it. It never applied my settings on reboot, plus half the time it crashed when restoring my profile. Too much trouble, and I don't use the extra settings that are not available in kernel adiutor. So, if you want it you will have to install both the app and UKM.
I just enabled adb without any problems. It also works when connected to the computer.

Here's a video showing how to install the ROM. (Thanks @Swapnil Soni)
Here's another one with a little overview of it. (Thanks @DaKoin)
Build instructions:
Since some of you guys asked me how to build from scratch, I will give a walkthrough of what I mostly did.
Note that this is in no way a walkthrough in how to compile (there are several guides for that on XDA) but more a guide
on how I did my setup so you can replicate the AOSP builds on your device.
Here's what I did:
1. Download the latest AOSP revision for android-7.1 which is r6 at the time of this writing (replace with whatever required branch necessary)
Code:
repo init -u https://android.googlesource.com/platform/manifest -b refs/tags/android-7.1.1_r6
repo sync
2. Download the kernel source used for the build:
Code:
git clone https://github.com/zaclimon/android_kernel_google_msm -b mako_nougat
3. Once both sources has been downloaded, compile the kernel. Note that AOSP do have a kernel toolchain that you can use to compile
Code:
export CROSS_COMPILE "/path/to/aosp/prebuilts/gcc/linux-x86/arm/arm-eabi-4.8/bin/arm-eabi-"
make mako_defconfig
make -j$(grep -c processor /proc/cpuinfo)
4. Copy the arch/arm/boot/zImage file to the Android source into device/lge/mako-kernel
Note: You must create the said directories if they don't exist. You also must rename the file to kernel after copy.
5. Go back to the AOSP source, and download/update/replace the following repositories for each component (relative path):
Code:
device/lge:
git clone https://github.com/zaclimon/android_device_lge_mako mako
hardware/qcom:
git clone https://github.com/zaclimon/android_hardware_qcom_audio audio
git clone https://github.com/zaclimon/android_hardware_qcom_display display
git clone https://github.com/zaclimon/android_hardware_qcom_gps gps
git clone https://github.com/zaclimon/android_hardware_qcom_media media
vendor:
git clone https://github.com/zaclimon/android_vendor_lge lge
6. Apply the following patches to each of their respective repositories:
Code:
bionic:
https://github.com/LineageOS/android_bionic/commit/81af26a3a033723fb34ddf280e33a9d4a6ce82c4.patch
frameworks/base:
https://gist.github.com/zaclimon/bb39d7f5059b63e3add3b5cad15e87db
https://android-review.googlesource.com/#/c/147266/
system/sepolicy:
https://github.com/LineageOS/android_system_sepolicy/commit/10dd0402ab62aa1a6416d7ea549a6a3eea1c6ae4.patch
7. Increase RAM usage for Jack (Only if you have 6/8GB of RAM in your system)
Code:
export ANDROID_JACK_VM_ARGS="-Xmx4g -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -XX:+TieredCompilation"
8. Once all the patches have been applied, we can now proceed to compile the system.
Code:
. build/envsetup.sh && lunch aosp_mako-userdebug
make -j$(grep -c processor /proc/cpuinfo) otapackage
9. The build should be in out/target/product/mako
10. Flash and enjoy!!
You're the king, buddy! ?

It's not necessary per se because it should boot fine. That said, as always, it's recommended to wipe so random issues are less prone to happen.
Merci infiniement !!!
Just downloaded, and works, I think we need to changes the permission so that google play service not crashing
Its people like you who make this world a better place, thank you very much!

Open gapps should be fine?
@cqloveqc what gapps did you use? And what permissions need to be modified?

Please everybody read the note (I should make it bold so people can see it)
"Note:You will see Fc's all along the setup, just skip them if shown. Also if Google Play Services is crashing, grant it the location permission in the settings. I'm also surprised to say that even with your data not wiped, it's working."
I am coming from the fake Nexus Rom aka I do not have a custom bootloader yet. What bootloader is the best to go with?
Could someone write me a quick instruction how to get started with my situation. I bet there are a lot coming from fake nexus.
Thanks for the great work!!
wow! cool zaclimon, so quanta is now N compatible i guess? haha, gj, if i'll find any kind of fix for something, i'll pull request, and thanks alot!

I compiled a stock kernel as I wanted to start off a fresh base if ever others wanted to use a custom kernel. (Including myself with Quanta) It is patched with Google's latest updates.
I could compile a build of Quanta and incorporate the patches required to boot Nougat but it wouldn't be fair lool.

I'm using the open gapps 7.0 arm version, and after change the app permission, all is good so far
And another sergestion, can we change the original LCD density to 240 instead of the default 320 ?
This change make the desktop more attractive.

Yes, I've tried that by using a es file manager, but if we can make the 240 default, we don't need to make change anymore

few notes about 20190316 update:
1. New kernel, our is very old 3.18.14, new one is 3.18.91. this is latest M105FDDU1ASB2 from relative exynos7870
2. Our wifi driver depends on the kernel. I can't just take a new kernel (or update the current one), it will most likely cause a kernel panic with the current wifi module. For some reason, samsung cut out the wifi sources/config from kernel. So I spent a week and was able to add the source of the wifi driver to the kernel and made a config for it. As result we can forgot about stand alone .ko wifi module, now it's part of kernel. And as bonus: our old wifi module's version is: 4.0.10.205Y_0903, new one is: 4.0.11.213X
3. I reviewed the defconfigs, make it similar to m10 from latest kernel, updated the file systems config (thanks to [user=5480152]@followmsi[/user]), activated pie sdcardfs sources, fixed vibrator for T585 (it was big misunderstand with dtb blocks)
4. I fixed the build logic of the dtb part (now it's part of defconfig)
5. I added doze service (power consumption)
6. I added fingerprint from xiaomi sagit (for pass safetynet check in Magisk, thanks [user=5480152]@followmsi[/user])
Code:
few notes about 20181223 update:
1. rebrand wifi, now it is loaded during the run of the wifi service, and not in init scripts, as before
2. made small updates in hwc for smooth gui
3. fixed gps for T585, may be it's quite slow, but working
4. fixed hostap for T585 (it's still buggy and sometimes turn on not from first attempt, but working)
Code:
few notes about 20181204 update:
this is huge update, a lot of changes here:
1. update for hew hardware support, now we use proprietary files from latest 8.1
- new mali driver r22 (early was old r15 version)
- new camera (new with exynoscamera3, it was missed for our tablets in 7.0)
- new OMX libs
2. latest official kernel (I asked samsung about sources few weeks ago)
- with new r22 mali support
- with new wifi driver
3. now with new hardware almost no any shims (only one missed symbol for camera), now no any shims for OMX with libui and etc
P.s. thanks [user=5480152]@followmsi[/user] for some fixes and hints.

Right now I have only the SM-T580. Soon will back my SM-T585 and I will then make Lineage 16.0 for SM-T585 too.
Can you release this for the T350?

Does 3.5 jack works on this rom?
I am asking this because it was dead on 64-bit treble Oreo/Pie and it was not mentioned in bugs section too.

The connection works, have tested.
Is the pie guesture navbar avaliable?
Cast not working
Good work.:good: Seems to work well. But, as with every other 64bit ROM I've tried, casting to a regular Chromecast dongle just gives a black screen and no audio. People with a Chromecast Ultra dongle tell me theirs works, but I'm retired and living on SS, so I'm not going to spend for a new dongle when it works fine in 32bit RR Oreo.
Since this seems to be a problem with all 64bit ROMs, and not just this one, I guess I'll just have to wait until it's fixed somewhere up the line.:crying:
Nice work! Would it be possible to get the pie gestures or navbar customization options added in the settings?
Currently the dark or black theme for the UI doesn't work.
As for the Chromecast problem that Lewmur is reporting as not working: can anybody confirm this? For me it is rather vital it works.
And what is actually meant by the "FC problem" with the camera. Does it just mean it is "f*cked up" or what ?
Thanks...

Really looking forward for that build. Will try it as soon as released on my T585.
I tried "Cast" with my Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter - does not work Seems to be the same than with the Android dongles.
Will this work on the P580, just without the ability to use the pen? I don't frequently use or even really like the pen anyway, so I'm fine with that, I bought the S-Pen version for the extra gig of RAM.
Good Rom, thanx. But for me GPS not working. Can you fix it please.
I have installed the Rom for a few days ago.
It's works fine and the battery is okay.
But, I have found 2 Problems / fails.
1. I can not wake up the tablet with the homebutton.
2. the Displays goes short black, when I turn it from vertical to horizontal.
Sorry for my english

Hi,
error 7 means (AFAIK) that the image does not fit the model of your device.
Do you have the SM-T580?
Yes, I have the Samsung tab a SM-T580 (2016) wifi gtaxlwifi. Do you think I need a different version of twrp?

Running the 32-bit version for 580 without problems.
Will test clean install again .. in the next days.
If you install Magisk it may boot two times at first start .. looks like bootlooping.
En la T585 ni 32 ni 64 funcionan, se queda en negro en la pantalla de bienvenida. Sorry no write english

Works fine if i factory reset but if I reinstall magisk zip again it gets the black screen again on first boot. Only way to fix is factory reset again and i lose all my installed apps. Any ideas?

Pls use version Magisk 17.2.
Good luck !
EDIT:
You can always restore boot.img (unzip ROM) and either skip Magisk or use older/newer Magisk version.
This way you don't loose any data!
For me 17.2 works fine.
That is the version i am using

Install Magisk via TWRP only .. on top of fresh unmodified boot.img !
Im not modifying the boot.img im just flashing the rom then factory reset then magisk and open gapps

Please do not quote the entire long post. Either use hide tags [HIDE*] content here [/HIDE*] (remove the * when using) as I did below, or only quote a small portion of the long post. Thanks.

Known issues:
- AdvancedDisplay (Samsung) is not working and has been taken out.
- Pls use latest Magisk version (v17.x) - on earlier versions you may get bootloop. (maybe it's booting twice - don't panic)
Camera:
- Google Camera app is not working correctly - and is not tested ! -> Pls do not install yet !
- Normally if you install Google Camera app via gapps you remove the built-in camera app - pls take care yourself !
- The Lineage built-in Camera app works fine - except for rear camera video recoding. (720p)
- OpenCamera app works fine too - also no rear camera video recoding.
- Footej Camera app works fine too - rear camera video recoding is working in this app too !

Thanks for job. Mobile data working in this build? Who know?
If i reboot it gets the black screen even without magisk installed. Not sure why this is happening.
Updated to latest version ( flash zip/wipe) without problems on t580.
Microsoft remote desktop app is starting now (used to force close) but when i connect to my laptop app closes, binance app used to force close as well but is running now! Keep up the good work!
Is auto rotate still messed? Last version auto rotate screen would turned black for a second then was normal and can you remove Google bar from home..things like this drive me up the wall. Still on RR 6.2.1 no reason to update.
Reset it 3 more times and it finally started working, not sure what was wrong. Also is the notifications being misaligned a lineage bug or can this be fixed in a future update.
Otherwise good work
I was getting this too until I wiped it a few times more and it suddenly worked (only system and data)
After a few tries, the following worked for me:
Wipe all; install Linage 16 32bit and opengapps 32bit; after booting System reboot and install Magisk 17.2; wipe Davlik/Cache an boot System

This rom is soo good, thanks raptor!
This ROM is beautiful (Talking about S22 port). I'm a developer and test apps on A20, would it be possible if you add KLMS and other Knox Related stock apps please? I need knox license activation only. (I know rooting breaks knox but the KLMS agent etc they do work while being rooted. I'm using all of that stuff on my rooted S21 FE and they work fine).
Edit: As my S21 FE is also Android 13, I will try to copy all Knox related stuff into this and check !

Thanks for quick reply. I'd prepare the list.
For now, I've manually copied the files as I said and it worked but when I restarted the phone. It locked me "Phone Locked, Authorization needed" and there was no way out.
I've wiped everything again and flashed again (this time with my original CSC because I think that could have caused that).
I'll get back to you after checking out everything.

It's strange that flashing a different CSC locks the phone.
Anyways, The required files are the folders names as KLMSAgent, KnoxCore, KnoxPushManager, knoxvpnproxyhandler and KPECore.
They should be at /system/priv-app/
For now, I've made it work. But it'd be lovely if you include them in next update.
Many thanks for this Beauty
This is a realy nice ROM. Great work !!! Would it be possible to add Samsung stock Radio app?
Trying this new rom, so one question is possible add more buttons like download mod, recovery mod in turn off menu?
Amazing Rom!
does it work for A207F ?

I would add those but they make the system less responsive on this low end device. Also a hassle to provide security updates.
