[HELP] Unlock Bootloader Officially On Non-MIUI ROM

Hello XDA Kenzo community! I unlocked my device's bootloader unofficially by flashing modified emmc_appsboot.mbn from MIUI Lollipop. I will try to flash TheStrix's firmware, which has the untouched MM bootloader over my current ROM which is RR Marshmallow. My question is, can I unlock the untouched bootloader via MiUnlock even if my phone's ROM is non-MIUI or should the ROM be MIUI8? Thanks in advance.

You will be able to unlock using miunlock provided you have official premission to unlock(i.e. if you have unlocked BL using miunlock previously).

I don't think it will work. Because it checks ur MIUI version so far as I know and u need to be logged in to ur MIUI account on phone.

It doesn't check for the MIUI version I guess. Cuz I unlocked the BL when it was running CM 14.

Yup. It got relocked somehow when I flashed CM 14 and I unlockedit officially again.

Ok, after it relocked again it's possible with non MIUI ROM.
But u will need to unlock officially first.
And if u unlock unofficial u won't have luck, to unlock officially with non MIUI rom.

Unofficialy unlocked bootloader

What makes the bootloader lock itself when flashing firmware on unofficially unlocked bootloader?
I have found some firmware which remove emmc_appsboot.mbn, but according to other users you need to update that too.
So what I want to know is what happens when I flash a firmware with emmc_appsboot.mbn removed. Will it be the same as when officially unlocked phones flash a firmware with emmc_appsboot.mbn?
Is there any downside to removing emmc_appsboot.mbn?

emmc_appsboot.mbn is the bootloader. If you did not remove that, it will flash a Marshmallow bootloader. The problem is it will relock your bootloader if you're on Lollipop bootloader. Doing the unofficial unlock method means you're on Lollipop bootloader.
Relocking your bootloader while not on MIUI could be a problem so don't flash any firmware with emmc_appsboot.mbn if you've unlocked unofficially. Right now no one knows a method to update to MM bootloader without unlocking officially.
Latest Lineage OS(and those based of of it) needs Marshmallow bootloader to work(otherwise bootloop).
Try official unlock Just wait for one week after applying. Because you will always need the latest firmware to work smoothly on any custom rom . Using patch emmc_appsboot.mbn will keep you stuck at the old miui rom only

I did try Official unlock alot of Times, but it never worked for me so I unlocked unofficially instead. Is there any rom you need to be on? Live dev miui or something?

You can't check what bootloader you have but if you did the unofficial unlock then you're definitely on LP bootloader.
Firmware is whatever the last MIUI ROM or standalone Firmware you've flashed.
You needed to be on latest MIUI dev to unlock officially.
If you're on Kate though, then doing this doesn't seem to cause problems when flashing the latest LOS. Can't guarantee the same for kenzo though.
How to flash latest miui on UL LP bootloader
I've unlocked my bootloader unofficially and can't flash any new ROM. How can i go back to MIUI to get MM bootloader without any problem of boot loops?

Relock bootloader with twrp

Hi guys, I currently have a poco with PE and I want to relock my bootloader. I wanted to know if it is required to be in stock ROM for doing so.
thanks in advance
AFAIK yes, you must install stock kernel
You need stock ROM and stock recovery to relock bootloader and not brick your phone.

It is not advisable to lock the bootloader while on a custom ROM.

Hello
Answer is NO
Because You have to flash a fastboot official rom via MIFLASH tool in order to relock the bootloader. That will erase EU rom....
