Flashed my Mate 10 Pro and need some help - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

I have flashed many phones and had no problems but this is causing me so much grief and Funky Huawei don't seem much help replying to my pm's..
I purchased a sim free Uk Mate 10 pro from CPW it was running fw 115 (c782)
Wanted to update to the latest 127a fw, so purchased credits and flashed away.
I think where I went wrong was using the unbrand tool, I picked option 7 other = typed BLA-L09 and option 2 again = hw/eu
After then flashed the 127a fw.
All flashed well but it made my phone into a dual sim which I didn't want due to warranty issues, been buying credits like a crazy man trying to get this phone back to a single sim BLA-L09 but it just won't have it, I get weird fw and region codes installed??
I have spent a small fortune now and not very happy, any help would be great and a refund on some of the credits wasted.
To be honest I would avoid this service, keep your money and wait for Huawei to release ota updates.

So, you purchased a BLA-L09 (c782) and you wanted only to update to latest firmware version? If that's correct, then why did you used FHRebrand Tool, instead of just flashing the latest firmware for your device?
FunkyHuawei support was always available when i needed,so maybe you should wait for the Christmas holidays to end.
Next time be patient, nobody forced you to use FH services, so i don't understand why you blame them for your issue.
Merry Christmas! ?

[Q] About Davinci unbrand

Is there anybody who has unbranded your phone by Davinci Team?
If there is, please, can you give me information about it?
I know the system, an app that flashes your mobile with the cable, buying credits to do it.
But i want to know if the unbrand is definetively, I mean, if the phone gets totally unbranded forever (also i unlocked the phone via IMEI). So, if the 2.1 arrives, can i install it via SEUS with any problems?
Thank you!!!
I emailed Davinci Team about if the phone gets totally unbranded for life (about to update via SEUS to 2.1). Also I asked for any risk, and they say:
Hello,
Sure, you can continue to update via SEUS when 2.1 is released for a generic
version. The only risk is the same with any flash, just be sure you are fully
charged and that you don't yank the cable partway through any process and
you'll be safe; the whole process takes about 10 minutes.

So tonite i'm gona try it... it's only 10 euros, I think it's a good price if the unbrand is for life... the newest updates, etc.

I unbradned via Omnius. It was 4.50 euros.
****... I already purchased the credits! hehe thanks anyway!
And... everything went ok? Is your mobile now like a unbranded bought one right now?
I'm gonna flash now, just waiting the phone will be full chargued to do it.
Yes, it went smoothly. In less than 3 min I unbranded Austrian A1 phone into an unbranded generic UK phone. Suerte!
Done! too easy! I flashed the UK/Black ended in .174 there was the .175 from CN... but I prefeer an UK rom, just in case... hehe
I'm sooooo happy !!!
Gracias !!!
Edited: I had the 1.1.A.0.12 because with movistar spain it's not possible to get a newest update (incredible), they blocked the OTA and a lot of things. Now, testing the latest update i have to say that the phone improves A LOT... i mean wifi / 3G connection, and more stuff is improved, so if you have a branded one... unbrand, it's my advice!

right rom

hello
i am new here i live in pakistan i have ALP L-29 8.0.0.132(c185) security pacth 1st april i want to update my mate 10 there is no update i just want to know there is any new update for mate 10 in pakistan region if yes then give link
thanks in advance
Hi, I'm still on c636b132. My version still has the march patch. The only safe way to update is with patience for built in system update. Alternatives are out there if you are willing to unlock your boot loader and in some cases use a paid service to circumvent Huawei's method of blocking non approved updates.
I'm annoyed with Huawei for not providing the monthly updates.
I'm annoyed with those offering paid services for something we as a community have always contributed to and offered free.
For my money I won't pay again for something I have already bought and risk bricking, corrupt my partitions and all the other problems spoken of here.
Just patience my friend. I'm hoping the delay is a version bump.
thank you so much for help

Mate 10 regular 138 approved, but stuck on 134 still? Will I get OTA?

I have a Mate 10 (regular, not Pro) ALP-L29 with 8.0.0.134(noxloader C636) -> April security patch + face unlock.
I saw today on FF that 138 (our version of the pro's 145 update with night shot) is approved for my model, however, the 136 is also approved for my model but not installed? I am still on 134 with no extra OTA for almost 2 months now??
So is there something wrong? I live in greece and my phone has C636 region.. any answers welcome I am trying to make sense if I will get this 138 update with OTA even if i wait or no..

Well I don't know.. that's why I asked honestly. I just got this phone a month ago and I still don't get how the region thing works (I haven't bothered with OTAs before, I always rooted and flashed AOSP on my other phones so far).. So I'm looking for some enlightenment here..
Again just to make clear, this is the regular Mate 10, purchased in Canada, C636 region, currently in Greece for the past 3 months, and no update to may or june security patches these 3 months...
Yep have same issue, stuck on .134noxloader from Funky Huawei. Cannot receive OTA.
I have sent multiple emails and they ignore. They have even removed .134 from list of firmware for Mate 10, so obviously something wrong with it.
I paid premium service and was assured I'd get OTA updates...

Are you unlocked now?
You could just update using TWRP + HuRUpdater or HWOTA.

Latest, working Mate 10 Bootloader Unlock Methods?

I see Huawei isn't providing unlock codes anymore, so I've been researching options before purchasing this phone. Having a rooted, unlocked phone with TWRP is rather important, imho.
It looks like this person successfully used DC Unlocker for ~$4: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78665569&postcount=392
However, other people say "Funky Huawei" is the only working one, which is much more expensive: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78627440&postcount=6
I then see this post about firmware versions needed for DC unlocker to work, but for the Mate 10 "Pro" -- unsure if that also applies to the Mate 10: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/how-to/finally-unlock-bootloader-mate-10-pro-t3850111
Buying from here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Huawei-Mat...vHzekWP7zx0GEhBHmmrA:rk:1:pf:1&frcectupt=true
... I'm unsure what firmware I'd get & I don't know how much that would matter. I'm hoping someone could help clarify: does DC Unlocker currently work on this phone, and how much trouble is it...?
Thank you!

HUC? What & where is that? BLA-AL00 which is the "pro" -- so that may not reflect my experience with a non-pro, correct?

BLA is the pro....
HUC is the one recommend in the guide u mentioned... Just a DC Unlock alternative from same developers...!
For what I read... It is about the firmware youare on... Mine is old... I think if ur security level is beyond June 2018...u can be less fortunate with the HUC... But it is just 4 EUR.... If u really want to unlock.... Try it....
Only way right now is:
HCU by dc-unlocker. This will not work on firmware after June 2018 (check security patch).
Ministry of solution, this service might come back, it's currently down and cost $30....
FunkyHuawei, expensive as hell.
You can also void your warranty by opening your device up and flash board software with testpoint. This would allow you to use HCU while on board software. This is not recommended at all if you don't know what you're doing.
Edit: Hopefully your firmware is not updated. DO not update when you get it.

It is a refurb, so warranty is likely already run out. May you point me to instructions to flashing board software with testpoint, just in case?

It's using old bootloader so chances are high, at least
You usually get a refund from DC anyway.
I just hope it doesn't complain about Security Patch date without even trying.

This guy:
https://ministryofsolutions.com/huawei-bootloader-unlock-paid-service-html
... said only 8.1.0.110C567 & 8.1.0.111(C567) is "supported" for his method, and not mine (8.1.0.120(C567))
After giving my information to global-unlocking-solutions.miiduu.com, they said "Yes, order and wait for updates to finish", which I presume is related to their "WE ARE TESTING THE HUAWEI BOOTLOADER CODES NOW: AFTER TEST RESULTS ORDERS WILL BE PROCEED" message on their website:
https://global-unlocking-solutions.miiduu.com/bootloader-unlock-codes-choose-model-below
I also presume this is the same thing that has FunkyHuawei (still) down.
I did try doing the "read bootloader code" from DC unlocker (without buying any credits yet), just to see what would happen, and got this message:
Reading bootloader code...
unknown error (375)
I assume if it was due to not having an account, it would say invalid username or not enough credits.... so I'm worried this means DC Unlocker won't work.
So, I'm kinda stuck, I guess? I don't want to use the phone, since I will have to either reset it when getting a bootloader unlocked, or "give up" on getting a bootloader code and update to EMUI 9.
Hoping for any advice...
I had 8.0.0.129 on my usa mate 10 pro with December security patch purchased 4 credits from DC logged in and was able to get my bl unlock code.
DC Unlocker support came back saying "your error means that current version of android in your device has new security patch and is not supported yet."
So, looks like I'm already past the point of no return (aka no "easy" bootloader unlock code). My best chance at getting a bootloader unlock code is via IMEI methods like FunkyHuawei if they return, which firmware & security patch version don't seem to matter. My phone apparently is covered under a warranty, which I don't want to invalidate (which unlocking your bootloader does). So, even if I got an unlock code, I'd likely not use it for awhile. Considering all of that, and the desire to start using my phone... I upgraded the firmware planning to get EMUI 9 Pie (which I'm clearly not going to get via custom ROMs anytime soon). If FunkyHuawei or the cheaper "global unlock" options return, I'll consider trying them out... :-/

You had 8.0.0.129, while I had 8.1.0.120. There are more numbers than just the last 3.
I tried DC Unlocker, and it gave me an error that everyone on the forum said means your Android version is unsupported. DC Unlocker's support said the same thing.
I'm glad you got yourself a bootloader unlock code. I wish I could have... maybe if the IMEI method opens up again (which I doubt), I'll get one someday...

Hi @ante0 / all
I note from https://ministryofsolutions.com/huawei-bootloader-unlock-paid-service-html that they want $4 (not $30)
BUT
They are also stating that "Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, P20 Lite, Huawei P Smart (These models only supported if have older firmware version)"
I am stuck with two new-ish Mate 10 Pro phones that fail with DC tools. See https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=78901016#post78901016
I'm guessing my phone has new-er firmware and that's why DC tools failing
Any suggestions?

That's only for old phones/old firmware. New unlock was here: https://ministryofsolutions.com/huawei-bootloader-unlock-service-all-new-models-new-firmwares
But it's closed. It seems to be closed for everyone now so no go.
DC will only work on phones with firmware on May 2018 or earlier (In most cases. Some custs do work on June/July but that only seem to be the case with carrier custs)
So you're out of luck...

Media Pad M5 Pro (C431) HOW TO CHANGE CUST?

Hi,
I bought 1 year ago the Media Pad M5 Pro unbranded from eBay.
I never received any update till now Still on Android 8.0.0 ( Build Nr CMR-AL19 8.0.0.199 (C431)
Huawei Support told me multiple times there is no update available for my device.
But I think they are wrong.
I think it just got the wrong Cust (C431 is made for "providers" but mine has no brand but this firmware)
C432 receives all the updates from Huawei.
So my question is how I can change my Cust from C431 to C432 or directly flash a C432 firmware?
I hope someone can help me in easy steps I think I am not the only one on the whole internet with this problem but in non-forum a solution.
Thanks

changing to c432 (which is the m5 wifi version, with Kirin 960s not Kirin 960) is quit risky - bootloop
but u could go for the testpoint method and flash treble gsi android 10, need to open bootloader
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-m5/how-to/downgrade-unbrick-huawei-device-methods-t3915693
its a bit easier with HCU client and dc phoenix( u need the dc unlocker anyway -to unlock bootloader - unfortunatly no other way) but HCU is 20 bucks time license for 3 days
if you really want the the super easy way there is a guy doing it for 30 bucks but u need to give him access to your windows pc(i wouldnt do that) https://ministryofsolutions.com/paid-services
if u find an easier way pls tell me, i gave an cmr-w09 (m5 wifi) and its running super smooth on havoc os(custom android 10)
