Hi guys, can someone shed some light on whether we are getting an alpha/beta release of CM13 like other devices? I only see very infrequent commits on Github.
Cm13 should arive faster than cm12 did due the similarities between Android 5.1 and 6.0
So far we have a mostly working aosp and a mostly working CM13 which should be avaliable soon.

I've been wanting to develop for J5 2016, but its a bit scary as its currently my daily driver. Maybe we devs can collab and make a cyanogenmod (or maybe a new lineageos rom ) rom for all of us. I might join the group next week, as I'm busy right now.

This new year bought an end to CyanogenMod era before getting an offical version for mi pad but the good news is we have Lineage OS born from the ashes of CM. Hope this OS brings a life to this beast(mi pad).

Old commitless kernel sources won't fix proprietary vendor blobs problems sadly.
Highwaystar is putting a lot of effort into porting CyanogenMod 12.1 right now and its not fully functional. Porting anything newer will only get harder, plus this device isn't very popular like the shield due to its fairly poor out of box experience & availability worldwide.

I think the MiPad has still some fans, yet a bit disappointed that there was no effort by Xiaomi for some reason.

yes, we would expect to see more support from xiaomi to support mocha(MI PAD 1). atleast it should have released lolipop. otherside the same configuration NVIDIA tablet got naughat update. It is not fair game xiaomi we need updates and support for mocha.

@erfanoabdi (who does not even own this device).
Without him None of this would be possible.
We wanted to donate him this device, but sadly he doesn't have enough

Great to see this set up - thank you I've donated, due to the hope we see more custom ROM development for the G6 Plus (natively 64 bit OS and drivers from what I recall), and because of rahulsnair's excellent previous work on the G4 Plus Lineage OS official build. Here's hoping for a long life for the G6 Plus and the rest of the G6 family

I don't want our developer to give up on our development. Without this device in the hands of our developer, we are stuck. We have a ways to go on donations. Chip in a bit to continue our progress. It helps the entire community.
Our developer's are well known throughout this community helping all of us..
I look forward to what can potentially be accomplished with this line of Moto.

That would be awesome! I just recently bought the "international" version from Amazon which I guess is the "brazillian" model XT1922-5 and need root on the latest firmware OPP27.91.87. The Play is about half the price of the Plus through Amazon. I'm willing to donate towards the Play device also.

New Invicta OS for moto g6 plus??! ?
I was under the impression that the Moto g6 plus worked flawlessly with GSIs, wheras the play and (g6) worked for the most part (except for some quirks with Bluetooth audio playback). Regardless I'll pitch 25$ twords fixing the gsi Bluetooth issue with ALI

Invicta? What does that mean? Either way this is not a promised step forward. It has potential but is. Not a gautentee.

Invicta was a popular custom ROM built for the Moto G4/Plus, based on lineage os but patched specifically for the G4/plus; unfortunately, the developer, Silesh Nair, ceased development on the project some time ago. I'm guessing that member is hoping that a similar project may arise if lineage OS is fully operating on the G6 device family.
