maze camera mistery - Maze Alpha ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Deve

Hey, a long time i serach for this and i want to know your opinion, maze camer is a fake dual camera? I used a root file manager and i see a gy.camera.apk Also i dont find a camera that uses the secundary camera and delivers the blur feature has it should work, a great phone for a fair price and camera is a big mistery of how to put better quality photos and videos and actual working features

Hi. I can tell you there is something there be it a camera or a sensor. If you put your finger over it, the screen literally changes, just a touch.

[Q] Adjust manually camera's shutter speed/exposure

Hi,
I have searched from all over the web app that could change camera's exposure time. I like to take good nigh photos, or anyway as good as it's possible with mobilephone camera, but like in mine HTC Desire exposure time is way too short.
I have tried many of those camera apps from market, like camera 360, but non of them can adjust shutter speed/exposure way I wanted. Say, I want a long exposure for night photo. For example I would like input exposure value to app, so that it would expose photo for 10 seconds.
So, do anyone know app to change exposure/shutter speed?
And my Desire is not rooted and I'm currently not planning to do so.
Would love to know about this, too; any ideas for this?
Sign me up for this as well.
Long exposures would be great. Would need some sort of remote shutter release or time delay ideally and a mounting system, tripod fashion.
Problem is - you'd also need a mount or tripod of some sort to hold the camera still enought to make long exposures work
I don't know about the rest of you but I can only handhold steady my DSLR down to about 1/80th of a second

I have managed 1/15 and 1/8 (the latter very rarely) handheld with my Pentax (image stabilisation built into body FTW), but yeah, you would have to use a tripod or to prop it up and have a timed shutter release for the phone. This isn't a problem as such, even just being able to specify the aperture would be welcome.
Well a mount can be anything...jumper, phone leaned against a wall. Would be awesome for cityscapes and such. Anyone found anything which indicates this is possible with a software patch? New to android and just tearing through my first rom package
Exactly, it doesn't have to be anything serious, just lean it against a beer for example.
I can't see a reason why you couldn't manually control everything, I can control ISO, metering, etc on my SGS, adding aperture and shutter shouldn't be outside the realm of possibility.
Had a look around as a noob to Android dev/roms etc. and I don't think it's possible to control the hardware to that level :/
Would love to be corrected on this, though!
I don't have the SDK installed anymore, can someone test what camera.getParameters gives on a device?
This would be great, the DX has a nice camera but additional lens control would put the icing on the cake

I can handhold my Leica down to 1/15. You need more practice (a lot of it).

Not to be too big a jerk here, but if you can only hand-hold an SLR steady, any SLR, at 1/80 or faster then I'm sorry to say that you may have a serious case of parkinson's, or are the most ADHD person who ever picked up a camera.
1/60 is recognized as the speed at which regular hand-held motion is mitigated, and unless you're actively moving the camera (or standing on top of a paint-mixer), you will not get camera-shake at that speed. Most photographers are able to hand-hold, and get a shake-free shot, down to about 1/8 on a good day.

What was the rest of the code? and did you try this on actual hardware or the emulator?
I will try to code an app for that. Plus FFC Support...
but you'll have to wait until I'm back from Japan
EDIT: It's not possible to really influence the shutter-speed or the aperture, because it is non-existent in the hardware, but there can be an interpolation of both values that are calculated from ISO settings and exposure calculation. It won't be perfect in any way, but it might be possible to do something similar... probably it is possible to gain more control via the ndk or by "cheating".
Thanks Flokey!
Does anyone knows if there is such a program?
I don't think a long shutter on todays camera phones would be useful as the sensor noise would be crazy bad.

Weak camera, how to make it better?

Hi Guys,
Ever since ICS and now JellyBean roms the camera quality has worsened...virtually unusable in poor lighting, night pictures impossible and very bad focusing even in good lighting, no detail in pictures and zooming in is just a blur....cheapest no-name camphones from china shoot better pictures than this
The Amaze camera from Gingerbread roms was the best.
How can I get decent pictures again with my EVO 3D...? this is supposed to be a shooteroo

For night time, you just have to put on the torch before you capture the image.
As far as the rest, it is what it is.
A torch is ok when your subject is 4 feet away but doesnt fix the camera...Gingerbread Amaze camera was far better and even had a night shot modus
Have you tried taking a night shot in the street for example? You only see the few lights and everything else is pitch black...
Yeah. Because of the low light and this cameras weird autofocus parameters, I've always had to use the finger technique.
If only they added the manual switch for us. But nope, they had to be scrubs.
The zoom-in blur is due to the fact that it's not a hardware zoom, it's a software zoom, so it blows up the picture, and then cuts out the edges. The quality would be terrible anyways. But, the camera quality should be OK. Look into Pimp My ROM, I changed my cam quality and it has been pretty noticeable for me, due to ROMs having really bad camera configurations, lol.
I meant zoom in into normal pictures...
For example a picture of several people huddled together, when I enlarge (zoom in) everybody is out of focus
which pimp my rom, is it an app?

Yup, it's an application available for free in the Play Store, it's basically an AIO app for tweaking your phone if you have root access. And are you talking about how, if you take a picture, it looks completely fine zoomed out, but if you try to blow it up (double-tap zoom), it looks low quality? If you are, that's also in the Pimp my ROM app, I personally don't know how to make this better by hand, I do know that PMR has it. But it has to do with it being JPEG, which is highly compressed image type, hence low quality.
Thanks, I was thinking more along the lines of a new camera app than a complete rom pimping app...
If you remember Amaze camera from Gingerbread used to be very good.....
I asked in the Yoda thread if it was possible to install that in ICS but its not---

I've honestly never used the Amaze camera, the camera on my ROM seems to be working completely fine to me, then again I always resize my images for size issues, which tends to fix up the blurs in the process.

8MP Camera not 8MP?

Sorry, I seem to bombard you guys with questions (and seem to answer them myself ), but that's not the problem. The problem is with my HTC One X+ not taking 8MP camera (and apps not recognizing the camera as 8MP)... including the main stock HTC One X+ camera app... or so it seems. I've tried Camera Zoom FX which recognizes up to 8MP and it went up to 5.1MP for my camera... a different app went up to 6MP, but mostly it's 5MP (as the best quality for my camera).
All my pictures that I take are very noisy and not clear (file size anywhere between .6 - 1.2MB)... that is not good. Resolution is 3264x1840 (or vise versa if it's vertical).
I don't know what the deal might be... is the camera failing on me (Camera on my previous Samsung Galaxy S3 failed completely... wouldn't open at all)... don't know how the cameras seem to die on me... I do take a lot of pictures, but most of the pictures I've taken are bad quality and very noisy... really really really disappointing since I value the camera a lot... I chose this phone for the 8MP (was afraid of the 4 UltraPixels of One so I went with regular 8MP)... now I regret, seen I'm getting a terrible quality 5MP pictures. (I've seen 5MP phone cameras take MUCH better photos then my "8MP" camera).

What rom are you on?
Also the noisy pictures thing may be caused by the fact that the back cover of the camera has a coating that gets scratched really easy and you should remove it, search in the Q&A forum on how to.
The "8MP camera bug" is one of many annoying bugs introduced in the only HOX+ update. The problem is that HTC messed one file in which there are available photo size options. That way NO external camera app will use full 8 MP. Only 5, 5.1 or 6 (square) MP. However, the stock camera should take full 8MP pictures, I can prove it. Check camera options.
This bug can be fixed if you have root access. I found a tutorial about this here at XDA, but after many, many google searches and I have no idea where it is now.
Install zero compression mod, lyaporta camera mod, 8mp photos are in 4:3, pretty sure widescreen or 16:9 option is only 6mp, as it crops the top and bottom instead of making the sides wider.

The reason I'm looking for a new camera app is because the stock camera takes photos of terrible quality

Sorry, I can't seem to find the lyaporta camera mod anywhere on XDA... I found a few posts that refers to it, but can't find anything else.
Is this the zero compression mod? If so, how do I flash it? Just put it on my sdcard and install it VIA TWRP? Also, how could I make a back-up of the current camera library? (I use sense 5 and the stock one that they offer there is for sense 4... or does it not matter and I can update it back to be compatible with sense 5?)
Thanks for your awesome help so far!!! I'm pretty new at this.
Zero Compression
Well, I tried that zero compression mod thing that I linked above and it does make the file size larger (also changed crop to regular and resolution to 4:3) and the image seems to be a little bit better but if you zoom in it's so noisy, it's just bad...

Flash the zero compression driver that disables the noise reduction rubbish that HTC implements (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2339226). Camera Mod is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2221815, it`s in the modpack , you can install without other mods, it improves image quality by a good deal. How old is the phone, my phone started developing hazy, blurry photos that had a ridiculous amount of bloom in any lit area, I noticed how scratched the lens was, the fix, simply put a small dab of tooth paste and a drop of water on a microfibre cloth and rub the lens in a circular motion for about 5 mins, don`t use too much water cause it can get under the lens, now my lens is as good as new and the camera takes some darn nice photos.

The lyaporta camera mod breaks my phone... it's just stuck in the start-up HTC One logo screen and that's it... I restored to the backup I did before installing the mod, but it doesn't seem to work... maybe I just have to wait a little longer... I waited for like 1 minute on the logo screen before going back to the backup...

Camera Modes

On my Note 4 I could take surround pictures which were up and down and left and right. I complete 360 degrees. On the note 4 I had to download a samsung add on. Does the V10 have anything like this. I'm not familiar with LG phones.
I don't see this option available specifically for the LG V10 or even LG phones.
But go to the Play Store, look at the app you used to use - then scan down to the list of similar apps. There's certain t be an app there that will do the same for the V10.
Good Luck
You need to download the Google Camera for that.
The LG v10 camera is just incredible though. It has time-lapse, panoramic, great manual tools if you really want to be technical with it, etc.
I found a cool use for the camera at a recent concert... Using the "groupie" front facing camera and rear facing camera side by side I was able to take a shot of the band playing a song and all my friends reactions at the same time. You can get really creative if you want.

Except the front cams take TERRIBLE quality pics. That's one thing I'm a bit po'd about with the phone. Even if the smoothing slider is set to zero, it seems like there is still a fair amount of it going on.

Haha. I guess it really erks me because the G4's front cam took far, FAR better pics.
The V10 has a great camera but there is a learning curve to it. The Note 4 you just picked up and started shooting and it was great, the V10 has more cool features but requires a bit more manipulation. But it is still one of the best out there.

Given these are 2 5MP cameras and not the 8MP of the G4...you really can't compare them

I disagree. I have other devices with a 5MP camera and they are fine for what 5MP can offer. Reason being, they don't have the stupid smoothing feature that the V10 does with no way to completely disable it.

Photos made with front camera

Hello guys.
I'm thinking about this phone.
Everything is excellent, but still im concerned about camera(front facing/selfie)
So, would anybody share his/her selfie with me?
And... what phone wins: Zenfone 2 or OnePlus X in matter of selfie?
here a selfie on a movie set. it was quite dark in the room. no daylight and some smoke maybe.

the built-in camero of OOS. For me it's good enough.
Acc to me front camera is betrer than most of the phones
I believe ,my friends, and all who have seen my phone,
Says tht its front camera is second to none.
To be honest i feel the front cameea to be the best of all the phones i have seen.
Oos camera is pretty good with face beauty and it works perfectly.
Normal images are clear to .
And if u want to buy this phone becoz of the camera ,then i shall remind u . it give perfect shot for selfies!! ??
I've seen people complaining that this front camera gave too much distortion comparing to other device. Honesty, I don't have comparison point and I don't use it....
