How to Upload software to Samsung Galaxy S5 with TWRP - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 that appears to be rooted with Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP). There is no software on the phone. I'm trying to get it to run Windows 8 or 10 through an emulator on the Android OS. Doe anyone know how I can go about doing this? I've tried using Odin3, but it keeps failing. The IMEI has been removed, so there's no carrier info. If there's an easier way to get Windows 8 or 10 onto this phone without going through an emulator on Android, please help.
Thanks!

There is no possibility to get Windows on an Android Device, the only two options you have to get the Device working again is 1. A Custom ROM like LineageOS or 2. You flash the latest Stock ROM via Odin

[Q] Nabi 2 Softbricked Help!!

Hi there I think I have softbricked my Nabi 2. I tried to update the software from ICS to JB using files from the XDA Nabi 2 Wiki but have come to a massive problem. I can't boot back into TWRP because all I get is an Android laying down with an ! on his chest. I can't re-install TWRP because my Windows 8 PC can no longer see the device!! I can get into the tablet options menu with fastboot, forced recover etc. I think the biggest problem is getting the PC to see the device.
If I try selecting different options in the tablet boot menu then Windows will see the device as Android ADB Device or MTP USB Device.
Can anyone help me get over this problem? I'm not used to using shell commands but fear I will have to install the Android environment to use ADB to get things working.
Please help if you can as this tablet belongs to a nephew of mine and he is missing his YouTube. I am close to tears trying to find the solution. I have read and re-read XDA posts in case I missed something.
Many Thanks In Advance.

[Q] Note Tab 8 broken

Hello,
I have a Samsung Note Tab 8, China version so it does not have Download Mode so I may be able to root it and install a custom ROM neither can upgrade the Android version to a later Android version. As far as I explore, the tablet has a Fast Boot mode where I can send commands via CMD from Windows 8. Tried to flash a ROM using ADB, but CMD says there is no device attached to the laptop. I am very stuck, and the tablet entered in LOOP when you boot it. Also the tablet has a Factory menu but is in Chinese and I do not understand a thing from that menu. As stated, Android version was 4.2.9 and the tablet model GT-N5100 according to About section of the tablet.
Is there any way I can make it work again ?
PS: All this started when I saw that the Android shown that out from 16 GB of storage, I was able to use only 4, and after I installed 4 or 5 applications the OS told me that I do have insufficient storage to install another app.

Cosmin

Flash Android via Windows Phone Recovery Tool

Hi all,
I was using the Windows Phone Recovery Tool to revert my HTC One M8 from Windows 10 preview to Windows 8.1, and noticed that to do so I needed to put the phone into bootloader mode and have the tool "flash" (in its own words) the proper firmware on to my phone. I was wondering if it was possible to somehow direct it to an Android RUU instead? Does anybody have experience related to this?
Thanks!
Won't work. Folks have been messing with trying to get Android on the WP M8 for some time now. If it was as easy as what you are suggesting, it would have already been accomplished by now.

Samsung Galaxy S Plus Problem

Hello,
I wanted to give my Friend an old Samsung Galaxy S+ for his birthday.
Because he is a big Cyanogenmod fan, I wanted to install it first (did it already with my S4 mini a few times, so i'm not a newbie).
1. I've installed TWRP Recovery
2. Thats it. It installed mostly correct, but the phone won't boot anymore in the normal OS. It always boots in TWRP Recovery.
I've read, that thats a common problem for TWRP Recovery on this device (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24831012&postcount=1330).
So here is my Problem:
The phone doesn't get detected by my Windows 10 PC. Some sort of driver problems...
So I can't install AriesVE and the new Bootloader (see link above), because Odin doesn't detect the phone and Windows 10 says if connected "The device wasn't detected correctly" (if translated right, sorry, i'm german).
Could someone please help me? My Friends birthday is at 28.11, the device should work properly there...

Just found out if you have Android 10 you cannot downgrade to Android 9 or 8
You can not downgrade I believe. Android 10 uses a dynamic partition and super.img vs. Android 8 which is A partition only
