Welcome to the forum! (A message from the moderators) - RED Hydrogen One Guides, News, & Discussion

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce the team of moderators assigned to this forum:
Senior Moderators - mark manning • Neo
Forum Moderators - Logix • Bacon Man • garwynn • jackeagle • phillibl • SacredDeviL666 • snickler • xanthrax
Please read and follow the Rules and Policies set forth by the administrators of this site. For any forum related questions, problems or other maintenance tasks, the best way to notify one of the moderators is through the use of the Report Post system. Alternatively, please feel free to contact any one of us via PM with any issues or questions regarding the forum. Links to each of the moderator's profiles are available in this post and at the top of all of our assigned forums.
We are all here to help our fellow members and to help continue development on many different devices. This is a development community made up of developers, so we encourage you to work together, help one another and learn together. As a community, we also have guidelines on conduct and general expectations of behavior on the forums. When posting, please treat other members with courtesy and respect. No personal attacks of any kind are allowed and participating in arguments is highly discouraged. If you find a questionable post in a thread you have visited, report it to the moderators and avoid the temptation to police it yourself. Getting involved in the bickering or piling onto a fight only adds to the problems.
Finally, if you have problems, comments, or complaints regarding a moderating decision, send a PM to the moderator. There's an appeal process for any decision and the first step is to inform the moderator of your views in a private setting. Hashing these types of issues out on the public forum is counterproductive and will be seen in a negative light.
Enjoy your stay!

Did you post and now you can't find it?
1. Try looking at your previous posts by using the link below (replace *userid* with your userid)
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?do=finduser&u=*userid*
or go to your profile and it is under statistics.
2. If you can't find it, it was probably deleted.
3. If you think it was deleted DO NOT POST about it. PM neoobs (me) and I will try to find it. If it was deleted by mistake I will recover it for you.
If you start a thread asking where your post/thread went, I will delete it. If you start too many of these threads, I will ban you for a week.
I am locking Tutorials to try and keep them clean, Please try to add a page to the wiki or add to another page (all hero tweaks under the page for their specific rom) with what you posted.
If you need a support question answered PM me and I will reopen it.

[Poll] Xperia NXT series S/P/U/SOLA separate development section

what I propose, is to keep the xda forums clean and well organized, making a section for development only, for each phone,
for example!

so to do the job easier for MOD! there is a poll in the top of the page vote with yes or no!
and let's hope that we are listened this time
As I said here a few days ago:

You need to make a request here.
And yes, I do have to close this thread down, because this is not the place to make requests.
Mainly because the people involved in those kind of decisions will most likely not see it here.
Not every phone can have a home in XDA.
There are many factors affecting the decision, one of them being interesting and continuous development, this is xda-developers after all.
P, U and Sola are relatively new devices, borderline low-end, middle-end at best, so it could go either way.
You need to be patient and in the meantime, try to make the accomodation of more than one phones under the same section bearable.
It is your responsibility to post in the correct sub-section, provide clear and to-the-point thread titles ("HEEEEEEEELP " "OMG wtf happened to my phone" "???" etc, are NOT acceptable) with tags ([P], , [Sola], ) so that the forums are as clean and helpful as possible.
Thanks!

[NOTICE] Distributing/discussing WAREZ is not tolerated

What is warez?
Applications/themes/games/icon packs etc which require a user to purchase them before using, when these are distributed without requiring payment, it is called warez.
Off late, we had to do cleanup of several threads which were distributing or discussing warez. A reminder to all, we simply do NOT tolerate distributing paid apps for free on XDA. This is a community of people who make such apps/games, and warez distribution hurts the very community that we aim to serve.
If you haven't already, please do read the forum rules. Failure to comply will lead to an infraction/ban.
What to do if a thread is distributing warez/breaking any other forum rule?
The best way to deal with such an issue is to use the yellow triangle button found on the top of every post. This is an anonymous way to alert us (moderators) to possible rule violations, and then we can take corrective action. Avoid posting in the thread pointing the rule violation (for eg, "Hey bro, that is warez. Remove it or I will complain!") as this often escalates into members fighting each other, and we do not want that.
Simply report and move on. We will deal with it.
Samsung International Moderation Team.
The yellow/orange triangle button is present on top of every post in the browser view. For reference, here is a screenshot:

Press the report button for the offending post. If there are multiple offending posts, report the first offending post.
Thank you.

Thank you for reading this.
I would love to test it. But $1.- for an app which does not offer very clear more features than the default system, I can't spend to. What is the improvement that you say: That is better than what you have in default OS already?

... I have a very trivial and simple question, with android 10, emui 10, it is possible to have a gesture, a shortcut to navigate back and forth in the web forum pages ? I tried with the cache flags, but it works only after you've gone through it, while the experimental flag that pushes you to store the entire site cache without going through it doesn't work.. I intend to move forward in the thread pages without having to click on the small number below and without having already passed ... Thanks to all!

Hello and good evening, @Johnny86866868
Welcome to XDA! I hope you'll always get the support you require.
Negative you didn't although a lot of guidance is available - if they're read. Prior to your next posting please read the guidances that are stuck on top of every forum like
Note: Questions go in Q&A Forum
If you are posting a Question Thread post it in the Q&A forum. Technical discussion of Android development and hacking. No noobs, please. Device-specific releases should go under the appropriate device forum...
forum.xda-developers.com
and the others. I've moved your thread to General Q&A.
Thanks for your cooperation!
