SO today I decided to fix my phone which was in a state of bootloop and a problem of its Recovery getting stuck when I try to get in.
The phone is a HTC Desire 728 and the device's bootloader doesn't have the fastboot option, when ever I try to boot it into recovery mode it always outputs a blue text saying that this is a developer option etc... Then the phone will just completely freeze.
I've tried to connect using ADB but it doesn't show up.
Update: I have managed to connect the phone through download mode from these people in the comments, Thank you!. But the final problem is the RECOVERY I have flashed the RECOVERY through my PC using adb/fastboot but when I go back and try to boot into recovery, only these blue text pop up and then the phone freezes HELP !!!

Hi thanks for the reply but the thing is I can't connect my phone to my PC in download mode, I mean nothing shows up on my computer therefore I cant flash it using adb. Do you know work arounds or a app similar to Odin but for other brands like HTC. thankyou Please help me QAQ

Did you tried with RBsoft mobile flash tool ?

I tried it and it wont let me register, it comes up with a error and doesnt send me the verify email.

Thanks man for that video, I will try this application and I will update my status real soon, Thankyou guys for all your comments and if I somehow find a fix I will put it up here and if anyone has other fixes please post it here. I will update as soon as I come home from school tomorrow

you are doing it right but i think you forgot to start channel server first
start channel server first then run researchdownload
and while connecting phone press volume down button
it will show progress and then passed in a very short time
then it will be done

volume down + power button at the same time and hold it till it shows cwm
and if this dont takes you to cwm then connect ur phone to pc via adb and give command in command prompt

Holding down buttons just flickred the boot screen once and the phone just rebooted normally. I did it many times according to the instructions but still the same. About the adb, my PC doesn't recognise my device. I installed drivers according to the instructions by various sources but still the same problem. I did had a spreadtrum device of micromax previously and had the same problem on it.

SORRY BUT I M REALLY TOO MUCH BUSY NOW AND TRYING TO GET TIME FOR A VIDEO TUTORIAL OR WITH IMAGES GUIDE
AND FOR ADB RECOGNITION YOU HAVE TO ADD VENDOR ID OF THIS PHONE WHICH IS 0x1782 in adb_usb.ini or you can paste the attached ADB_USB.INI file to
C:\Users\{your username}\.android\
if after that also adb is not being connected
then plug the cable to the phone and install pdanet.exe which is also attached here
make sure for adb "usb debugging" is ticked in [settings\applications\developement)
phone will be connected to adb for sure
please unzip both files before using

Hello everyone ill cut right to the point i rooted my Zte source using Kingo root app about a month ago and everything was fine and 3 days ago i installed a boot animation through rom toolbox and my phone now will not boot up i get black screen with flashing red light when i try to go into recovery mode by pressing and holding power and vol + it vibrates but stays at black screen and shows up on my pc as ZTE Handset Diagnostic Interface(DFU) (COM5) what do i do? Can i reset my phone?

i say there is still hope. seems the only thing you messed up is the boot animation. according to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2520309
you have fastboot for your device, so in theory, you could use a fastboot flash recovery command to install CWM, and use it to install a ROM

how do i get fastboot to recognize my device? i have correct drivers for phone since my brother has same phone i got drivers off his phone but fastboot does not see my device adb does not see my device as well

the last time my phone would boot up yea usb debugging was enabled by now it wont boot so i cant check to make sure
i dont use the same device as urs but as far as my knowledge goes
ur phone has usb degubbing on ...jus gt in fastboot and figure out a way to install a custom recovery
then u can just wipe data and ull b good to go...no need of a new rom
search xda forum for ur cell to flash recovery via fastboot

dude...1st of all fastboot is a boot mode...to get into it u have to use combination keys while booting, some times use usb cord
just google how to fastboot with the name of ur device ull gt it!

Then I changed the dpi by editing the build.prop via root explorer up but when the device reboots, it shows system force close and I basically cannot do anything. I realized that my TWRP recovery hadn't installed successfully and also I think download mode is not working. Computer recognizes the device when it is on... Can someone please tell me how to unbrick my device? Is there a way to install TWRP at the current condition of the phone? I think I cannot use lg flashtool because that requires the phone to be in download mode, while mine can't get in download mode...please help! thank you!
Edit: also when I try to hard factory reset the device it shows: ERROR: boot certification error and it gets stuck in black screen.

theres several things you could do.. try srk tools to try and fix twrp, or fix download mode using nuke download.. i dont know how to i just know theres a way to do it.. if other fails and it doesn not go into download mode then you must short circuit the motherboard.... then look at thread g2 hard brick fix..

yes.. and its a way to force or fix device to enter download mode.. like i said ive never used it but i know it might help. if it fails then you must open the phone .. and short circuit the motherboard.. good luck. :fingers-crossed:

I don't think my phone is hard bricked. USB debbuging is on and computer recognizes the device when it boots up. I simply don't know how to install twrp via adb commands or alternative methods ... or how to manually flash a custom kernel that would allow normal device boot up when dpi is changed.

I saw those I just can't get it to be recognized by the computer. Did the guy in the video try the hard brick fix from XDA? It is not very clear how he gets his laptop to recognize the device

I am new to xda as i got an problem with my Redmi Note 3.

Miui 8.2.4
Android 6.0
32 Gb Rom,3 Gb Ram
I was trying to flash Android 8.0 Rom via Twrp {Flashed Through Mi Flash Tool}. Twrp Flashed Successfully and Then I started with flashing with Oreo Rom.It also got flashed successfully but the problem I think is I forgot to flash Lazy Flasher due to which the phone booted but was lock even though i entered the right password It started to reset the phone. Then the phone turned off never revived from there.
As I tried to power up many times and tried almost all the combination Keys like Power+Vol up,Power+Vol down,Power+Vol up+Vol Down,etc.Only Red Light is blinking while connected to charging or PC. In PC the Port shows Qualcomm 900E and cannot be recognized in Mi Flash Tool. As Mi flash tool detects Qualcomm 9008.Even I manually Tried to change the driver to 9008 but didn't help me to flash the ROM.Shown an error: Device attached is not working; in Mi Flash Tool
Even I showed in a repair center near me but he ended up with no solution even. I have been trying to get it in Edl mode so that i can flash Fast boot Rom but no clue for that.
If any clue for this would be really appreciated!!!

After flashing oreo ROM lazy flasher is not required you need to format data ( apart from wiping data ) to boot the device.
when connected to PC when the red light is blinking that means you're in EDL mode, now try holding power + vol down button, keep holding until you get a vibration & get into fastboot mode.
Then you can use fastboot commands to check if the bootloader is still unlocked & can flash TWRP again if erased.
But, if device is unable to enter fastboot mode then you must flash MIUI fastboot ROM through EDL.
The procedure is the same for flashing but you need appropriate drivers en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=attachment&aid=NzU4MzF8ZWU0ZWM1OTR8MTM5ODc1NDUzM3w2NDg1MDkzM3wxOTY5Nw%3D%3D

But, if device is unable to enter fastboot mode then you must flash MIUI fastboot ROM through EDL.
The procedure is the same for flashing but you need appropriate drivers
I have tried holding all the combination keys as mentioned earlier but no results. So without getting in Fastboot mode i cannot flash the rom and I don't think so that my device is in EDL mode because PC device manager shows Qualcomm 900E instead of 9008.

The device is already dead.
What happens when you plug charger? What about Qualcomm QHSUSB BULK? Is it showing up in EDL? Vibration Works? LCD Backlight Turns On?

Once happened to me this method worked for me
same issue here have you got any solution
This happens to me once...but i got it solved. This is really an edl mode of the phone. Keep trying connecting it to pc and try pressing those volume and power buttons if there is any voice connecting to pc means your phone is not dead. So, keep trying.

Here, this helped me. If you follow the instructions correctly, you will be able to unlock bootloader, boot into twrp and then flash your custom rom. Skip to the part when you will have the red led blinking.
