Powerbanks with Supercharge (not just Fast charge) - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

Hi! I'm aware that QC 3.0 powerbanks do not fast charge the mate 10. I'm also aware that Huawei has 2 variations... Fast (9V2A) and Super (4.5V5A) charging. Does anyone know of powerbanks that SUPER charge the phone (not just Fast charge)?
The main one I've seen recommended is the Huawei AP09S - but this is no longer available in most places, and where it is available, the price is around £60+ with a long delivery time. so not worth it. Are there any cheaper alternatives that people have found?
I found this article: https://www.androidauthority.com/power-banks-huawei-phones-823403/ But I think maybe that writer is not aware of Fast charge and Super Charge, and is just listing powerbanks capable of Fast charge? I'm looking for Super charge. Thanks!

There is only one powerbank with supercharge, the AP09S you already mentioned.
I got mine from tvc-mall: https://www.tvc-mall.com/details/hu...or-huawei-p10-mate-9-black-sku101705094a.html
Someone wrote about the Mi Powerbank 2.0 supporting supercharge, which is not true.

hmm that's what I was worried about. It's adding to my list of regrets after buying a huawei phone. I'm in the UK, and TVC Mall are quoting $200+ dollars to ship it to my location. Elsewhere I've found it for ~$85- $105 but shipping is slow and its a rip off compared to the fact that QC 3.0 powerbanks can be had for $30. In that case I will probably have to go with a powerbank that supports Huawei Fast charge, and not supercharge, like the ones listed in the android authority article. Do you know how much slower it is than supercharge?

Hi Keithy do you have a link? This is the one that I saw, and it's what I was referring to as being priced £60 and delivery stating between 23rd Feb and 9th April https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HUAWEI-A...063785?hash=item3aed396129:g:4PMAAOSwVRNZiYOx
I'd like something cheaper, and I need the item by 15th Feb for travelling abroad

Yes I think I may have to settle for a Fast charger at this point, although it would have been nice to have the fastest! Do you have one yourself?

FWIW, there are two listings on eBay UK at the moment, both from Chinese sellers (so yes, delivery will be slow - but at least postage is free);
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253088063785
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302446424873

so, does your phone supercharge when attached to this power bank or does this power bank supercharge when recharging from mains?

The Huawei power bank does both, supercharges the phone and supercharges itself. I think other powerbanks fast charge the phone, but do not fast charge themselves (as far as I know)

Thanks! Although postage is actually £10 in both of those, making the total cost £60, which is triple the price of equivalent QC 3.0 powerbanks, which seems like a rip-off to me! For now I need a powerbank for my trip to the US next week and I think I'm going to order a powerbank that Fast charges the Mate 10, and I'm holding out some hope that it might also SUPERcharge the mate 10 - this forum post claims this third party powerbank is able to do it (one user has a screenshot from Ampere and states fast charge and super charge: https://forums.androidcentral.com/h...ing-power-bank-battery-low-cost-mate-9-a.html
But if it only Fast charges, and charging isn't quick enough for my liking, then I'll have to order the huawei one when I get back. *sigh, really didn't foresee these problems before buying huawei. There is a video where the guy points out that it says "fast charging" on the Mate 9, so the powerbank probably does not support SuperCharge.
I can use any QuickCharge 3 powerbank to fastcharge my Mate 10 Pro, but only with the AO09s it will say Supercharge.

Sorry, I visited the UK site thinking it would assume I'm in the UK, but eBay still evidently calculated postage based on my location in Australia.

Fast charge should get you from zero to 100% in three hours or less, so it's not quite as bad as most people think. Just stay away from the old 5V/1A chargers!
I have to say I'm more than a little miffed by the lack of AP09Ss on AliExpress at the moment - nothing listed and all previous listings have been pulled. Don't know if they're in short supply, if Huawei's clamping down on non-retail sales, or if they've found them too expensive to post. I'll keep an eye out for them; I'm happy with my generic QC3.0 power bank at the moment (and ecstatic with my Huawei SuperCharge car adaptor), but wouldn't mind a SuperCharge power bank if I stumble on one at the right price (i.e., less than the current asking prices).

I guess the AP09S will hit European markets soon.
I saw aGerman seller shipping directly from Germany:
https://www.ebay.de/itm/Huawei-1000...542274719?clk_rvr_id=1439463082090&rmvSB=true
Also, Amazon.de has it listed with price directly sold from them, but not in stock:
https://www.amazon.de/dp/B077TB39W5...de-21&linkId=60427f6a94ffbb08e525910cfb93d18a

Tried to buy one from https://www.tvc-mall.com/details/hu...or-huawei-p10-mate-9-black-sku101705094a.html, have been told it is a problem to send it to US.
Is it?

Did anyone manage to get one delivered to the UK or know of any alternatives?
I've just got my Mate 10 Pro today and I'm coming from a Note 8, so need to replace my Anker PowerBank (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B012SNMWCK/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which charges it fine, but would like Supercharge support.

Lol. Just use your phone for a while i think coming from the note 8 you will be surprised how little your need for a powerbank will be.
If you already have a powerbank keep using it. I think the price is not worth the little improvement.
I have seen it is available on amazon.co.uk. alternatively you can have a look on ebay - it should be around 50 pounds.

Replacement Wall Charger

I've kept up with all the research and debate on the best charger/cable combinations for the galaxy note 3 and i'm happy with the charging results from the charger that comes with the note 3, but I need an additional charger. The best I can gather from others is that some are able to use their tablet chargers as well as some miscellaneous other chargers with mixed results to get the faster charging. I've also noticed that almost every non-OEM "fast charger" sold is marketed and designed for the ipod/ipad/iphone, which decreases the power for non-Apple devices.
Does anybody have a direct link or a suggestion for an affordable stand-alone charger that I can purchase for the Note 3? The OEM charger runs $25+ on sale and i'm hoping to find something less expensive.

Your best bet is just to shop around on Amazon, as there are tons of viable options available there that will leave you more than satisfied with your purchase. I would sit here and type out answers to all your question(s), but this has been covered before. Actually, I participated in a thread very similar to this one and since it's nearing 3:00am and I'm exhausted, I'll just point you in that direction instead. :good: Anyway, here's the link to the thread from last month, and here is MY post in that thread based on products that I purchased and am still using on a daily basis.
To sum it all up in a quick "Cliff Notes" form, I bought the AmazonBasics 2.1 amp charger from Amazon and it performs exactly the same as the OEM Samsung wall charger, except it's only a fraction of the cost of the OEM Samsung. You can pick one of the AmazonBasics 2.1 amp chargers for $8.99 here ------> AmazonBasics Wall Charger with USB Outlet (2.1 Amp Output) I hope this helps you a little bit in finding what ya need! :good::good:
Looking for one too.
I have the Hong Kong model and it comes with the UK plug.
Big, ugly and don't need/want it if I am not in UK.
It is removeable (the UK part) so there should be a EU, USA etc pins that will fit it but don't know where.

Yeah, as inexpensive as the AmazonBasics charger I referenced for you is, you should just try it out for yourself. As many people that have bought this charger and have had a great experience with it, in my opinion it's well worth at least trying it for yourself. If for some crazy reason you happen to get a "lemon," you're only out less than $10, so not too big of a deal really. I highly doubt that's gonna happen though lol. I use mine every single day. I actually split time between the OEM charger and the AmazonBasics 2.1amp charger, as I have two chargers(1 OEM and 1 AmazonBasics 2.1amp) at home and another charger(At work I use a second AmazonBasics 2.1amp charger that I purchased from Amazon after seeing how well the first one I bought compared to the OEM Samsung charger that came with the phone.) at work. :good:

indeed cheap compared to others. I'd ask about refund or return policy and give it a try if that's reasonable. Otherwise I'd pay the extra and get it from a more reputable company like Aukey

Charger Suggest
My friend bought this phone and he got a detachable charger(one with USB and Adapter)
For some reason, any other wire used with his charger dies after few weeks.
So I need a good charger suggestion which is reasonable, has a warranty, doesn't overheats device during charge(many of third party chargers do), and is durable. If you have any good suggestion then please let me know.

Normally in eBay going with sellers with high rating are genuine. This one is 99% so he could be a genuine seller. I got window 10 pro as cheap as 700 bucks and office 16 at 1.1K and all were genuinely. Always check the seller. Cuz I've been duped once by fake products. Also always go for eBay guarantee products, you'll get a refund if product is defective

The original charger costs 1300 in Motorola stores. Just take care that you don't need quick charger for moto g4 plus. You need turbo charger. Go to official website and get it from third party client. Also remember that always check if the charger is with the datable and the adapter seperate.

Indian users only get a single voltage charger

Didn't anyone else notice that Indian users are the only ones that get a single voltage charger?
That means we cannot use this charger on 100V supply. Which means trouble if you travel around the world or even in the long distance trains.
The other worldwide users get through 100-240V charger so they don't have this problem.
When I saw the specifications for the Indian charger it first mentioned 100-240V and after I raised the issue, they changed the specifications to what is visible now. Luckily I took a screen shot.
My problem is that the charger is useless, not what I saw when I bought the phone and now oneplus will not let me return it.
I actually cannot believe how no one else is affected by this.
Dude, its 200-240V only. At least in my pack. I purchased 24th June.

i just hope, 110v charger will work on my indian op5. since i bought this in india but going to use it in canada. and i had to order canadian voltage charger. hoping it won't effect dash charging.
But they say its a true global phone. xD
I've got the 100-240v charger. Ordered the phone in the Netherlands a few weeks back.
Nerver saw a 200-240 chager, maybe they put this on due to some regulations in the country, but it would probably work on 120v. Since the voltage is lower, it will not damage it in any way. Any modern charger got 100-250v input.
There are no such regulations.
When contacted they say I must use a converter. This simply means that the charger will not support 110V.
I've got a 200-240V Charger!
Yes, whereas all of us should have gotten a 100-240V charger.
I recommend raising an issue with oneplus.
As of the moment, I'm the only one fighting this.

Powerbank - 10k - SuperCharge (FCP)

Hi,
I'm looking for an affordable Powerbank with Supercharge (Huaweis Fast Charge Protocol). Any ideas?
The only one I'm aware of that Supercharges is Huawei's own AP09S 10000mAh Power Bank. (https://consumer.huawei.com/en/accessories/ap09s/) Not cheap, but good quality and worth it in my opinion (I have one). Not widely available though, so google is your friend!
One or two around that Fast Charge though and these would be a bit cheaper and still quite quick to charge the P10, just make sure any fast charging power bank you are considering supports Huawei's Fast Charging Protocol (FCP).
I'm using Pineng 10k slim version. it doesn't supercharge my phone but it's capable of charging at 1.8A which is good enough for me.
Thank you guys!
I'm I reading this wrong or isn't this SuperCharge compatible? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Yoo...ry-5V-9V-12V-USB-Dual-Mobile/32813258983.html
The Mi Powerbank Pro supports Huawei FCP. Make sure you get it direct from Xiaomi or buy from a legitimate reseller and make sure it's the version with the round USB cable, not the flat one. Any with flat cables are the first version that does not support Huawei!
I bought one in China from a Mi store and works perfectly fine with my P20.

Wrong, as I said in post 2 above, Huawei's own AP09S 10000mAh Power Bank will SuperCharge.
I had in the mind the ones with acceptable price range. And the charging speed difference is not so huge between them.

Super Vooc 50W Charger Purchase

I'm starting this thread as a reference for people who might be interested in where to purchase a fast charger for their phone.
I'm currently struggling to find any information about where to buy a fast charger, since I bought the Neptune Blue version (12GB/256GB) and the only option was an EU charger, although I need a UK one. I know that we can use adaptors, but that's not a long term, optimal solution.
So I have a couple of questions for the good people in here:
Does anyone know where to buy original Supervooc 50W charger ?
Any recommendations on similarly charging 3 party chargers ?
Does the OnePlus Warp/Dash chargers work for the X2 Pro? Any tests on that?
Please do not hesitate to add your experience with Oppo's proprietary charging technology.

Exactly, it seems that Oppo haven't prepared to sell those chargers separately and the only places you can find is a 3rd party from China.
Although I'm interested if anyone has tested maybe a OnePlus Warp/Dash charger.

Here I am! Proud owner of a OP3 since 3 days ago, switched to a 12/256 x2 pro.
I just tried, as per your request, to use the Dash op charger and in the home, I get the VOOC logo while in charge. Not that bad, but definitely not a superVOOC. It charges the phone quicker than any ordinary, yet overvolted charger, but not comparable to superVOOC.

My 2 cents

How many seconds of charge per percent of battery ?
I think mine is not as quick as before, since a power outtage at home, very strange..
Almost 40 seconds per percent, so definitely not the 30min for the 100% announced.
Are you supposed to be able to see the Super VOOC logo while charging full speed ?
@KaylordTheuZ
Thnk for testing.
could you please install the app "Ampere" from the playstore? (I on the Oneplus 3 get a read out of 3500 milli ampere with the 4 amp dash charger when below may be 40%)
Could you check the ampere on the realme with that?

Yup. Just made a comparison among the dash charger and the original one.
Realme charger (SUPERVOOC) : max throughput of 1850 mA @ 4,25V
Dash charger (VOOC) : max 1470 mA @ 4,23V.

Yes, sure. In the lock screen, with the charge percentage which fastly increases by step of 0.01.
I read about your power shortage and IMHO it could be a cause of damage to these chargers. Try to do as follows: install Ampere and compare your results with mine ( just posted a feedback to another user). I set the phone in charge while the phone is already @80% of charge remaining. Don't know if in case of discharged battery the charger pulls additional current in the first minutes, I'll try this out.
I don't think Ampere gives proper readings for Dash/VOOC. You're recommended to use the engineer menu (usually *#808#) but that doesn't appear to work on the Realme X2 pro (CN version).

The same on ebay !
P.S. You can always use an adaptor, I see no issues here.
Can it charge with a regular 5v 2A charger?

Off course you can, but don't expect any VOOC neither superVOOC performance.
So seems UK version is non-existent. Great.
Does anyone know which adapter would allow the full capabilities of the VOOC charger?
It will comes with in the box right?
Dash charger is 20w. GSMarena said X2 Pro supports QC up to 18w.
Does anyone have any 25w or more to test?
Solution for V8 SuperCharger for Realme X2 Pro
Does anyone know where to buy original Supervooc 50W charger ?
Ans: Obviously from Oppo or Realme's official Stores and website. Do not trust Ebay or Amazon completely for that matter.
[*]Any recommendations on similarly charging 3 party chargers ?
Ans: SuperVooc is Oppo's tech but I guess original one from Oppo might be costly as compared to Realme.
[*]Does the OnePlus Warp/Dash chargers work for the X2 Pro? Any tests on that?
Ans: Works. 30w in also enough but it takes the usual 62-72 mins from 3% to 100%. Tested result. Also why won't u charge it fast in 50w speed rather than 30w,when both wattage results in pretty similar heating.
Note: Tested verdict. Any fast Supercharge tech will surely generate some heat and surely demands a battery change after 2-3 years depending on use. My 3 years+ old Oneplus 3 just had to change Battery. So I guess with 50w for Realme, its battery will run buttery smooth for max 2 years and upto 3 year with minimal use. Hope I answered upto your expectation.

Please do not hesitate to add your experience with Oppo's proprietary charging technology.

Will surely work. My Mi Powerbank 10000mah 2i normally delivers 5v,2A. But will charge slowly, mine takes almost 1hr 28 mins from 12%. It surely extends battery life but is pretty slow. If u can wait that long, you can charge

I bought the 50w Chinese oppo one from eBay but it doesn't give 50w to the realme. Haven't measured the charge but it's noticeably slower
Maybe try the original cable with it.
ah you look on Aliexpress?
