I've not personally used one, but it seems like the Whitestone dome glass has been the top choice for screen covers with the previous models. They're pricey and it's a process to install, but it's full adhesive. Also the new zagg is supposed to be a good one.

Got amfilm for 3 days now and it a bit of a disaster. It cracked on first day from 0.5 meter fall on wooden (panels) floor, screen itself of ok, so one could have said that protector worked but cracking from 0.5m fall on wooden floor? Some places (top of the screen and bottom right corner) have much lower sensitivity so e.g. pressing backspace and enter on keyboard is difficult, need much more pressure to get it working. After 3 days the curved bits are finally sticking to the screen but managed to get a bit of dirt underneath, luckily it's very small amount and totally invisible.

I heard you gotta adjust the sensitivity settings on the phone with that. One of the reviews on amazon mentioned it.

That could be true if all the screen had this problem not just 10%. On the second thought it's better today comparing to Sunday when I applied it, maybe it needs some more time to settle down? Anyway, it's cracked from first small fall...

Has anyone used panzerglass products?

I've never had great luck with any curved glass protectors. Bought and broke too many. They work great on my iPhone X, but none have worked great S7, S8. I bought these with good results.
Galaxy S9 Phone Screen Protector Ringke Invisible Defender [Full Coverage][3-Pack] Edge to Edge Side Coverage [Case Compatible] Scratch Resistant Thin HD Clearness Film for Samsung Galaxy S9 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079P898S1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_VSDRAb2ZZKVGQ

Been also looking for tempered glass on the s8 and now the so. The ones they make for iPhones feel a bit filmy and when they fall they crack. Don't see how those aren't popular on the s series. So I just got a spigen neo flex.

I gave in and bought a Whitestone. It is as perfect as they say. Installation wasn't as hard as I thought it would be ; you just need to watch a bunch of videos of the process beforehand. But is it worth it for the price? I still can't answer that. It makes it easier if I just think of it as an installment plan over the life of the phone.

I have a Zagg Curve Elite four my S9+ and I can highly recommend it. Had it for 1 week, no problems so far. And a plus is that it is case friendly :good:

I have personally used the Whitestone Dome on multiple devices and have it on my S9 right now and it's amazing. I'm a really big fan of it and think that it's the best one out there by far.

Zagg Screen protectors and the S pen. Or any protector.

So I'm interested if anyone has gotten a Zagg screen protector and how it interacts and feels with the S pen. Is there too much resistance or does the rubber tip kind of feel sticky on it. If you don't have a Zagg how does your screen protector feel with the S Pen.
It's crap. While the Zagg adds a relatively thick layer that can act as shock absorber if you manage to drop the phone face down, I absolutely hate it when I draw on Sketchbook. It's sort of deformable, and the S-pen leaves small ridges in the protector as I draw, and the more I draw, the more uneven the surface gets. It was frustrating when I had it on my Note 2. Clarity-wise, it's quite good for normal viewing, but even a microscopic amount of oil smudged across can ruin the experience. The glass on the phone itself seems more oleophobic than Zagg's protector.
I'm running without a protector on my Note 3 at the moment, so I'm trusting the screen to Gorilla Glass 3. Since I have a wallet case, it won't have any hard objects gliding over it when I'm not using it. Few weeks in and I'm satisfied so far.
Thanks for the input bro. Duly noted that's what I figured would happen. I guess I'll opt for a privacy screen protector then. It's cheap, useful and effective.

Only the polyurethane based protectors have that issue (Zagg/BestSkinsEver/GhostArmor/Skinomi/etc...) because they are softer. The iSmooth/Spigen type protectors don't have this issue at all.

I have the Spigen tempered glass screen protector on mine. Working with the S Pen feels just like writing on the phones screen. Id recommend not going with Zagg if you intend to use the S Pen.

I've had nothing but good experience with Zagg. I have the Zagg High Definition on my Note 3 and haven't had any problems at all. S pen works great, doesn't leave ridges as someone mentioned above. Of course I didn't use the S pen in the first 48 hours to give the screen time to fully set in.
I am liking the zagg protector.. only issue I am having is that I dropped the phone off the end table 8 hrs after getting the phone and there is a dent in the protector.. didnt self heal.. i filled out for the lifetime warranty and giving it until this saturday to request a replacement....
Zagg makes a tempered glass for the iPhone, I'm hoping they release it for the note 3 but they probably won't since there's much less demand.

Since I've seen $8 and $12 tempered glass screen detectors mentioned in the last couple of days I don't see any reason why you'd get a plastic film screen protector.
The $8 one ships from the US as well so it should be quick. I wish I'd seen these before I spent $28 for mine.

Zagg HD screen protectors are absolute garage, they have been back since their original Zagg screen protectors before they added "HD" on to the name. Actually, that was the only improvement that Zagg has made to their screen protectors in years, just the name. I don't like glass screen protectors due to how painfully obvious it is that there's a screen protector installed, mainly due to the gaps around every edge, speaker, camera, sensors, Home button, etc. Not to mention that your Home button is now recessed. You'll notice most people wanting Home button stickers have a glass screen protector, just to bring their Home button back to being flush with the rest of the screen. If you want a screen protector that looks invisible, ZERO gaps around the edges, and feels just like your bare screen does now, then search "TechMatte" on Amazon. They are currently on sale for only $4.95 for a 3 pack! Much MUCH cheaper than all of the other screen protectors which claim to be "premium", when they'll actually either just be an eyesore, feel horrible to the touch, make your S-Pen unusable, or drastically deteriorate the now gorgeous looking display! Plus, TechMatte also provides you a lifetime warranty! I guarantee that you will be 100% satisfied, this will become your absolute favorite screen protector you've ever used or seen anywhere, and will LOVE it! Once installed, I bet your friends won't even know that you have a screen protector installed, and probably won't even be able to find it after you do tell them there's a screen protector on your phone! I posted a review of it with pics (I tried to photograph it anyway) here in this subforum. Here's a link to them on Amazon : http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CK...r=1-10&m=AG8AYSVS7E5IO&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70
The stock photo in Amazon shows the screen protector having a U shaped cutout at the bottom for the Home button, but it actually has a precise cutout for the Home button which provides coverage all around the Home button

I agree with you on the zaggs but I think you should try the spigen tempered glass t.r I was skeptical since I've never used glass but it's amazing like nothing is even on the screen. Most importantly it works flawlessly with the S-Pen. I had major issues with the Zagg and S-Pen on my Note 2

Spigen Screen Protectors

I was recently shopping around for screen protectors for my new Note 3 and after reading some of the reviews on Amazon about the Spigen ones I am a but reluctant to commit to using them because of the negative SPEN response comments.. Anyone using the Oleophobic, Crystal, Anti-Fingerprint that can confirm or deny S-Pen problems with resistance and skipping?
I used them on my Nexus 4 and SGS2 previously and they were great, just don't know if I should commit to them with this unit if there are s-pen issues.. I got the Neo Hybrid case which works great..
Nevermind, just ordered the glass one.

Are the sticky sides of these washable to remove the lint already stuck to them?
I had mine hovering over the screen as I peeled off the backing only to watch darn near every cat hair and piece of lint in the house float in my direction.
I have since read about using tape in a steaming bathroom to prevent/remove some of the dust particles trapped in the glue but I may have to wash it then do this if there's any glue left on it.

I used to be a big fan of spigen screen protectors, to a certain extent I still am.... but.... I saw danny's winget's videos and got introduced to iloome.
bought one for my s4 but ended up selling that phone before I applied it. sold it to my friend and applied it on his, damn I am so sold on iloome flex! for 17 bucks, I bought 2 for my white and black note 3's
For the price skip the spigen ultra crystal and get the iloome flex! I still like spigen products, but just feel like I am getting less value for my money these days than the competition.
Well I used an Amzer Shatterproof Screen protector for my iPhone 5 and it was very impressive and I liked it...there was no worries of any scratch and marks...I still remember when I just dropped my coffee at my phone at starbucks and I was scared of the screen of phone but it was surprising one to me that there was no impact on the phone screen and the touch was also working smooth....that was a big relief to me....I got it from Fommy a Re-seller site.....So I am just expecting the same Amzer shatterproof for my N3 too.... whenever I will get that will surely update with the reviews....

Sure you should, look at your old watches, smart or not, they always have scratches.

I'd be tempted to say yes. I might be getting one for myself.
Thanks I also order by amazon the screen protection
I was looking at a Skinomi TechSkin
I don't have one on my Pebble and its good shape. Minor scratches but notching intrusive.
$10 for spigen but they proven to me they last a long time. Rarely need to replace on my phones. As far other watches I bop them on stuff all the time but they have decent scratch resistance as well.
If it gets annoying I'll go without but I got a pack coming.

Same here, on both my N5 and my M8 I have glass screen protectors..I dropped my M8 once and it SHATTERED the screen protector(I mean shattered...very hard to see the screen) but not a scratch on the screen, it also had a case on, so with the combo of the two, what would have made me need a new phone, it looks brand new still

I went through 2 glass screen protectors on my s4. one had been applied badly and had junk stuck under it despite my best attempt, didn't seat correctly and started pulling loose eventually cracked. Last one was great for a long while... chipped along the edge thanks to something in my pocket. tried to baby it.. eventually cracked being flexed in my pocket.
Guess I didn't have good luck. On a watch for me probably wouldn't last a week.
Edit: just realized they won't be to me for another week thanks to slow poke mail, trying to be cheap.
I'm not even gonna lie. I will be going budget or DIY on this one. I have about 8 extra screen protectors from previous phones so I'm going to attempt cutting them to size of the g watch until the glass ones are available.

same here. i ordered the spigen ones (3x) but im not really impressed. so instead I now took a spare protector for my n5 from mumbi and cut it myself. It doesn't look any worse than the edges from the spigen one and it's a really good screen protector
This stuff right here: http://www.amazon.com/bIONic-Shield-Liquid-Screen-Protector/dp/B00HZDOQIC
bIONic Shield liquid protector. I've been using this on my HTC One and my Nexus tab, and it's the real deal. Can't scratch your screen with a key, knife, etc. The rest of my phone's case is banged up, but the screen is flawless.
I'm most likely grabbing the LG G Watch Screen Protector CR from Spigen
It is the same as what I currently use on my Nexus 5.

I am using that one for 3 days now and I can only say I am very disappointed. You won't leave fingerprints, but smudges still appear all the time, its even worse than without the protector. What I did now was to take a spare screen protector for my Nexus 5 from Anker and cut it to the size of the watch-display. Looks almost as good as the Spigen one but it is very resistant to smudges. I almost never have any resedue apart from dust. I can't recommend the Spigen screen protector because of this.

They do smudge quite a bit. Not sure what else to do about it though doesn't affect indoors as much as out.
I do notice that the smudges aren't oily colored smudges like I did without so there is a slight difference. No worse than any other clear protectors on any other devices. Matte ones would help a bit but still doesn't look as nice.

Spigen Curved Crystal screen protector?

Hey guys,
I've tried two different glass protectors and theyve both been too narrow for the screen leaving like 1mm of unprotected screen on both sides of the phone.
Just came across this youtube video showing the Spigen Curved Crystal. I cant post links yet so just YouTube search "Spigen Galaxy S7 Crystal Curve Screen Protector Review"
The Amazon listing has alot of positive reviews but theyre mostly biased according to FakeSpot. The weird part is that the youtube review itself shows a pretty good looking screen protector that fills both sides.
Another weird thing is that on Spigen's site it costs 25$ and on Amazon its only 9$ even though its the official Spigen Amazon page.
Anyone tried it or has any info?
I desperately need screen protection thats not completely horrible.
Edit: Sorry, wrong thread.
Screen protectors are collected here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...arching-screen-coverage-glass-screen-t3328181
That thread's for people who reviewed previous glasses, and since it hasnt been reported on yet, I dont think the post belongs there.

I just installed mine on Monday after I was dissatisfied with the Zagg HD Dry.
The Zagg had a rubbery feel and showed little gouges/divots that supposedly would self-heal but I just didn't like it. My case is a Spigen Neo Hybrid and I was getting some bubbling near the edges.
So far, I'm liking the Curved Crystal. No issues at all with lift near the case and a nice smooth feel.
There's a very slight green tint that I notice at certain angles. My phone is black which makes it stand out more. I also installed it on my coworkers silver S7 Edge and the green tint isn't as noticeable.
It was a bit tricky to install compared to other protectors I've used since it doesn't go all the way to the top and bottom edge and has the curve on the sides. They recommend using their stickers to hold it in place on the home button while installing. If I would do it again, I'd use two stickers on either side of the home button instead.
Also, they give you two in a package which is nice.
I bought mine through Amazon.
+1 for Spigen curved crystal from Amazon.
Was totally dissatisfied with all the 2.5d glass screen protectors I tried.
While this isn't 100% coverage it offers protection from the scratches that were starting to develop from being in my back pocket (never carried with anything else. Lint/pocket debris will scratch an unprotected s7 screen).
Spigen Curved Crystal HD is the best so far. It is a film and not glass. But it covers the full screen area just not the full front of the phone. The corners, above the top sensors, and below the home button are uncovered. It does adhere to the curved edge nicely and works with my Tech 21 case fine. Glad you get two, as I did get a few fine scratches on it when putting it on (my stupidity).
i have try some ,but they are either creat narrow , or just narrower size
I also ha e installed a spigen curved crystal HD. Nice to the touch but not as nice as glass. I wasn't a fan of the top and bottom cutouts so I cut the protector so it just covers the screen portion of the phone, looks really good besides the one piece of dust and a piece of hair that got trapped under while installing. I used the wet install method, seems to be alot easier than dry install. Other than that I'm liking it so far.

Here's pics of the cut crystal HD I modified to cover just the screen portion of the phone. If I would have made the cuts a little smother it would look even better.

just got this, and it's a really nice protector. i'm just dumb and suck at putting them on lately, so of course i got some dust under it, and after like my 5th time of peeling up a corner to remove dust, one portion towards the middle of the phone won't stick to the phone anymore, so i must have slightly bent the protector or something, bc it's a small line that just looks like a bubble, as it won't go flat. but other than that, this protector is great. fits the curved edges, no bubbling around the edges like every other one, and it seems really thin. works with my tscase leather case, but i wanna try it with my spigen neo hybrid to make sure it doesn't lift up the edges. if it does with their own brand case, then thats BS lol

Works perfect with the Neo Hybrid. No lifting or creasing. Just be careful if you gear vr if you put it into fast it can push the protector. I use that and the spigen plastic case case.

Cheers for these how you finding it?
Nowhere in the UK currently has this in stock! I'll have to keep my eyes open for stock, tempted to make the switch

ZAGG Glass Curved now available but........

Called Zagg yesterday to ask about the curved tempered glass for the S7 & S7 Edge and the girl said it's been shipping for the past week. You have to call and order as it's still not available on their website. Now here's the kicker, It has a black painted border around the edges. :silly:
I asked if it sticks to the actual display area and she said yes, but did not sound too sure. It was $44.99 but she said she would give me 10% off and another $10.00 off discount. After hearing about the black "Painted Border" I did not order and will wait to see what others find out.
If anyone has ordered and received one please post some pictures and a review. Thank You.

Users are reporting that it is a dot matrix style. Frustrating, I know. I have my doubts as to whether we will ever see a good full coverage glass screen protector.

This sucks. Have to stick with the crappy film protectors for now.
The 2015 Moto X, Galaxy S6 from last year still don't have proper fitting edge to edge screen protectors. It will be a miracle if there is one made for this phone.

OK, Just installed the Zagg Curve and I'm pretty impressed with it. Went on perfect, lined up perfect, very smooth and overall one of the nicest protectors I've seen in a while. You would not even notice it's on the phone if you weren't looking for it.
The black on the protector is not the same pearly black like the phone but none the less looks pretty good.
I did manage to get a tiny piece of hair or something under the display but that's my own fault. :crying: Not going to take it off as I think it's a one stick deal and that's it.
The home button is noticeably lower but seems to work just fine. The capacitive buttons don't seem as bright with the protector on. The dot matrix is there but very hard to notice during normal use. Fingerprints hardly show up and the oleophobic coating is super smooth.
This opinion is based on about 1 hour with the protector on the phone . I'm going to let it sit a while before trying on some cases.
That piece of crap I got under the glass is going to drive me crazy. :silly: Here are a couple of pictures. The last picture you can see the dot matrix and piece of crap I got under the glass.
Another picture from a different angle.
Works great in the Otterbox Defender with the factory plastic protector removed.
I like my thin cases though.
