The Amazfit Pace only uses GPS data, not GLONASS as advertised. - Amazfit

The Amazfit Pace only uses GPS data, not GLONASS. This can be seen when using apps like 'wear GPS' on the watch as only GPS satellites are shown, no GLONASS. The adverts for the Pace do include GLONASS, are they wrong?

I'm interest too about that. I saw a "drifting" problem when I record Activity Outdoor
(Oups... When I submit, I saw it for PACE (I have BIP))
How ro delete ?

No need to delete, it's quite the same chip inside.

Hi everybody from Quebec city
I compare my location with a old Garmin Nuvi GPS
Here are the difference
Garmin : N46°45.725' W 071°18.588
BIP : NL 46°45'44" WL 71°18'35"
So I look that the last number are a little difference
I have drifting problem when I record a run with Outdoor activity (Running in car at 30-50 km/h. It re-ajust it's position when I wait at traffic light)
Bip are suppose to use GPS & GLONASS ( so it must be more precise of my Garmin, no ?)

Amazfit Bip "drifting" GPS problem

Hi everybody from Quebec city

Garmin : N46°45.725' W 071°18.588
BIP NL 46°45'44" WL 71°18'35"
(How to add a picture at his thread.. ?? )
So I look that the last number are a little difference

I have the same issue on my amazefit bip.
That coordinates are the same:
46º 45.725min = 46º 45m 43.5s
71º 18.588min = 71º 18m 35.28s
Doesn't seem to be the problem.

Amazfit pace for running

Hi guys, I am considering buying a Pace for running and was wondering how it does?
There is a post on here about the stratos saying it is floored as a sport tracker for the following issues, are these also true for the Pace?
Pace reading quickly fluctuating while running instead of being average over a few seconds.
poor altitude readings
poor hr readings
discrepancies between mileage recorded in the Amazfit app and when uploaded to Strava
Thanks!
I own a Pace and it perfectly fills my needs: built-in GPS, heart hate monitor (with option of continuous monitoring at expense of more battery drain), sleep monitor (only works by night), internal storage for use with music and Bluetooth phones, changeable bands, battery for more than a couple of days and a trans reflective display that is simply perfect under sunlight. I am not a pro, so I don't need precision below 10%. As it's a watch, it seems to me that most errors are due to how much the watch is tight on wrist and if you pause or not during the activity. This is an example of all the data it calculates (I was walking by the way, testing other things), what means it can improve or be fixed by future firmware updates.
Hi everyone.
Does amazfit has user modified training options like, intervals with own speed or time?

Stratos 3 inside cycling

Hello community! I would like to ask some. I use a spinning bike at home. Does the app of amazfit stratos 3 allows you to modify the measurements or to add km, cadence, speed at your workout?

Helllo! I also bought this watch for cycling training mainly but I found it to be a scam! The watch has 80 sports without being able to display data for all of them, it just boasts that it has many sports. The main problem with cycling is that it does not recognize the Cadence And Speed sensors. The above sensors are the main cause of indoor measurement. Cadence is also an important element for cyclists. Another nonsense that this watch has is that it tries to locate GPS in the internal cycling profile, for what reason?
Has anyone connected Bluetooth Cadence and Speed sensors to the watch?
I imagine NO !!!
Stratos 3
Firmware 4.2.8.0
(This is my question at the Post "Stratos 3 Firmware 4.2.8.0" and nobody answer of topic.

Bip S - No altitude data for recorded workouts

I switched from Bip to Bip S.
The Bip S with firmware 2.1.1.26 shows "no data recorded for: altitude" after recording a workout with GPS.
When I export the training to a .gpx file I can see <ele> elementes but with strange values like:
<ele >-4000000.0</ele>
or
<ele >-1.0E7</ele>
With the old bip the altitude was recorded properly.
Does anyone else has the same behavior with the Bip S?
Bip S does not have a barometer.

I know, but with GPS switched on in Trainings it should be possible to get the altitude from the GPS data, not?
It has to be implemented on software. On Strava it showed my altitude which is interpolated from the GPS data. I guess the Amazfit app just display whatever is recorded.

Amazfit t-rex gps problem

Hi to all.
I have amazfit t-rex and whan i go to hike 100km from my town, I lose gps shortly. In my town where I was activeit watch, GPS is OK. On hiking I am on top od mount clear sky. Some time, gps is work some time gps not.
Amazfit does not have a proper hardware design and quality inspection on their GPS, so do not expect any bugfix in software able to fix this.
