Dear I am on closed beta 8.4.24 last beta update of redmi 5 plus

Yeahh don't complain about battery life when you're not on stable

Mine barely consumes 1-2% per night without wifi on though.

Purchased last month, the battery life so far is average when phone at night it drains 2-3% on average

Airplane mode?
Because this night I lost 10% with data e wifi on

Gives me 2 days
I figure this will shake some things up. The attached screenshot speaks for itself, 100% legitimate. The SOT on this one wasn't much, it was 3 hours I believe, but I could be wrong. I'm an abnormal user, I turn my wifi/cell/gps off when not in use. I generally don't use my cell phone a whole lot.
There was one time were the phone had been on for two days and the SOT was 9 hours I believe. But again I could be slightly wrong, it was awhile ago.
Seems like a good battery life
With beanstalk ROM, i got 0% drain for 10-12 hours in flight mode.
Stand by is very good.

With the use of Amplify, I get 0% drain overnight.
even with stock, i can have drain of only a few digits.. max of 3 to 4
Near zero standby drain at night
Last night I got 0 drain overnight.
Since all my reviews are based on experience from EMUI, I noticed about 4-6% battery drain over night even when using Greenify to disable to most 3rd party apps. I don't know if I should complain about it because that phone is using dual SIMs. Rating for it is 6/10.

I noticed unusual battery drains when I unboxed it. Charged it to 100% and then would drain quickly until 50% in just about 35mins and then it would work somewhat better. It was their huawei awful software.

Almost the same story here. I had to use my phone with so much precaution so that battery doesn't drains quickly. I hated every bit of EMUI.
TBH, I am not a 'fan' of every phone company. For that reason, I may open mine in about 6-7 years with my friends. They always add one thing and exclude 2 things from the phone.

Weird battery indication issues

I am using the Miui 8.0.1. stable Rom from xiaomi.eu
The battery indications are strange. The number gets low quick, it falls from 100% to 1% in a short period, and I am not doing much on the phone. It takes like 5-6 hours to go to 1 or 0% but when I take the battery out and put it in again and switch on the phone, all without charging it, then suddenly the battery shows like 56%. How can that be? It is quite annoying and makes no sense. The indication is not reliable at all. I don't even know how much battery is really left. Please help

Do you do it every time after charging your battery? How do you calibrate it?
Even after battery calibration, battery drain is still present. This has something to do with Redmi Note 2 having problems connecting to 2g, 3g and 4g cell towers and WIFI chipset.

I'm using the last stable miui 7 by xiaomi.eu and the 20 firsts minutes was consuming a lot, after this firsts 20 min it's working very well. I'm on 60 % after one day, with very few use, it's working very well for me.
I have detected that using the original charger causes the problem in my case.
It's better to use a USB port from a computer or an old charger. I think the problem is with fast charge.

I did some tests, I wrote the results also on the official forum in the Feedback on Battery thread.
I always had problem with battery since I got my Prime on Oct. 2015, max ~2h SOT, even on MIUI 7.
I did a test without SIMs, wifi only and I reached ~4h SOT.
Then I did a test again with SIMs and data (set to 3G), ~2h SOT again.
And another test wifi only, ~4h SOT again.
Can someone repeat the same test?
100% to ~15% on data -> ?h SOT
100% to ~15% on wifi -> ?h SOT

Awsome standby ability.Only losses 1 percentage barely when i wakeup morning
Not mine ?mine drain battery as it seems like screen is on all night!!!
Standby was high on miui and miui based roms and it was also high on 7 and 8 roms but the newest roms have the best standby time ever. Only 1 percent in 4 hours. WOW!
With Greenify, amplify and RR Nougat, standby time is crazy high. I get almost two days standby time.

Which ROM you are using?
I left MiUi for good. Some say you get 1-4 days standby. Well I got 1-2 days that I keep using the phone. 12 days standby with Lineage 14.1 ROM and franco kernel. MiUi is nice and packed with features but everyone will leave it for good if one wishes for ultimate battery and performance.
However this is only true for Snapdragon variants. If you have Mediatek well... You can be grateful that your phone gets 1 day standby. It's a power hungry wolf. I sold my Mediatek to buy a Snapdragon. Never regretted.

Any advice on how to check if my battery is damaged or toast? I've turned off pretty much everything and the battery is draining like crazy whether in use or not. I'm lucky to get around 2 hours of SOT now.
Not sure if I need a new battery or maybe a new phone.

If your battery was damaged it would heat like hell not just drain. It also depends on the variant if SD or MTK. MTK drains 5x faster than SD. Also miui 7-8-9 weren't very well optimised and drained my battery very fast. MiUi 10 beta on SD variant gets almost a day of screen on time which is really good. One or more day with moderate usage. I use my SD with Lineage os and kud kernel and lasts 8-12 days without charging if I use the phone wisely.

Battery draining on standby
My mi a1s battery is draining very fast. My phone was on airplane mode for one hour and the battery was 75% after one hour it was 58%. Why is it draining so fast on standby
Anyone experience doze not working after the latest Oct 30 OTA update? My phone now is 100% awake and has 0% deep sleep (according to BetterBatteryStats v2.2.2). TIA.
My MI A1 drain about 1% during the night, with wifi on.

yep mate i got 3 hours of SOT yester day and i got down to 52% which is a huge improvement
Hi, I also have battery drain issue.
My Mi A1 has the october patch installed, I received a week ago.
With a full charge cant have more than 3 hours of SOT until the battery completly discharges. I use to whatsapp and some 4G internet navigation.
I have turned off the system UI tuner.
I restored the phone to factory one time without a full wipe, only I restored to factory from android menu. (Sorry but, what means a full wipe? To wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache from recovery?)
I see that I´m not the unique with battery drain issue, has someone solved this issue?
Do you think that with december patch or with the arrive of Android Oreo this problem could be solved?
For those who get 1-3% drain overnight, do you guys turn off network and wifi?
Wastes 3% for 8 hours at night which is horrible. Cellular data off, GPS off, and only one app which polls the Internet (K-9 Mail).
It's amazing
Not a drop in percentage while I'm asleep with airplane mode on.

I am seeing a 7-8% battery drain on my Exynos Note 9
I am using
4G data,
no wifi,
no BT,
no NFC,
AOD - On,
All sensors like - Smart Stay, Smart Capture, Smart Alert, Easy Mute etc Off
Screen Auto Brightness Off
Screen at 40% brightness
I go down about 2-3% overnight. Everything on except for NFC. Had the phone about a week now.

sure i will do that tonight. But even during the day, i woke up at 7AM with 75% and now at 12:20PM it is 34%. I would have been in 30 mins of call, checked mails and whatsapp messages and that's all. NO games, NO video (youtube) etc. Isn't that too much? I am on 4G and all other radios off.

Anyone ever tried analyzing the difference in battery drain between WQHD vs Full HD?
Read somewhere that there is no difference given that the phone still needs to push the same amount of pixels it was built to do. Curious..

Not necessarily. Could also mean that the signal from your telco company is not as strong as the other person's. This means your phone is pushing more power trying to get a better signal.

That's true. My house has bad telco network. Wi-fi does improve the battery drain a lot. Also my N9 is coming out to show its colors. Finished 2 work days with 40%+ battery.
So far, with Airplane mode 2% and without 3%. No AOD. Also rocks 2.5 days before recharging. At 2.5 days I have 15% battery left. I am impressed but it is still early.

2% an hour? How the hell do you get 2.5 days off a charge if you're draining 2% an hour? My standby averages .3-.7h an hour. Usually closer to .7%. I wish it stuck closer to .3% because I think .7% an hour is too high for the great reception I get.
