Hello i recently updated my htc hd2 phone to - official ROM version 3.14.479.2, Radio version 2.15.50.11U from the site - htc.com. My problem is that the camera flash light does not work when switch to always on mode. The flash light would be not on until I take a photo which acts the same as the auto mode.This problem is in camera mode.IT WORKS TOTALLY FINE IN THE CAMCORDER MODE!
Battery is 100%
Soft reset doesn`t help!
Is there any registry solution what to do or only hard reset (htc technicians couldn`t find solution and adviced me to do hard reset)

I have installed miui fv4 for X10 rom ...

it says that the camera doesn't work and there is a camfix zip file to flash in recovery mode..
but every time I flash this zip the phone goes into a boot loop and it doesn't work until I do a clean install again
I tried another camera apps (camera 360, HDR+ camera ...etc) but didn't work the same message appears every time ("can't connect to the camera")

but the same problem appears...

Some days ago I installed a Resurrection Remix Rom (I actually don't know which one, sorry. I just know that it's got Lollipop) and when i went to the camera it said: <<Can't connect to camera>>
I still had warranty, so I installed the stock rom (I checked the camera and it still didn't work) and I sent the phone to the company. IMPORTANT NOTE: In the warranty ticket it said <<SOFTWARE ERROR>>
The only camera I can use is the "selfies" one
When I received it, the error was fixed, so I tried to install another ROM, so I installed CM12. But... I got the error AGAIN and I haven't got warranty anymore
That's what I tried
-Install Reset Camera and Camera (CMFix) (Camera CMFix didn't open and I had Restart Camera Installed :v)
-Checking if an app is having troubles with the camera
-Rebooting in safe mode
-Holding down the volume/power/back
-Clearing Data and Cache of the camera
-Removing my SD card
-Renaming the DCIM folder
- youtube. com/ watch?v=Fa9qggQJ990 (I can't even access to that menu ._.)
-Find “Use NuPlayer” and uncheck it & restart
-Using other camera apps
-Disabling the Google Camera and using the default one
-EDIT: I installed the Stock Rom with odin and did a factory reset. I even did a "system reset" with odin. AND IT STILL DIDN'T WORK OMFG. Then I tried to update the camera firmware (youtube. com/ watch?v=Fa9qggQJ990) because I've got KK now, but the "Phone/CAM FW Ver Check" is disabled. I googled my camera Cam FW Ver and it's not old

If you're confident that its not a software issue, then go ahead and unroot your phone and show it once (sometimes the problem maybe that the camera slot just got loose). But 'can't connect to camera' is common from cm12 onwards. Maybe its a kernel problem. The fact that stock firmware also failed is something abnormal. Even in a few Touchwiz roms, kernel changes led to cameras not working.
Anyway, If you're still on stock rom do to the dialer and enter
*#7353# quick test
*#*#4636#*#* for test and information
*#34971539# for Camera Firmware Update and
*#7412365# Camera Firmware Menu

I did *#7353# and tested the camera and it told me Can't connect to camera again, I can't choose "Phone to CAM FW Write (Main)" in *#34971539# and *#7412365# and *#*#4636#*#* didn't work
I guess It's a kernel problem

Hello, is there any way to find out which files should I replace in my ported ROM to make camera working?
I tried to replace some libs and lib64, but no success..
When I flash the ported ROM, only back camera works, there's no led flash and front camera is not working (in camera app there is no front cam option)...
When I replace some libs, i get "can't connect to camera" error or bootloop or "starting apps" forever..

Hi, miui 9 global, android 7. samsung sensor.
i just magisk rooted my phone and edited build.prop to emable camera2api , so i could try google camera.. thats great, but now the stock camera no longer works in hdr or panorama modes. enable hdr mode and it says "cant connect to camera" and crashes.. panorama mode just immediately crashes. panorama mode on google camera is terrible, so i will really miss this feature.
i hoped that installing the extra features on the stock camera might help. i added those with a magisk module. new functions appear but same issue.
in frustration, i reverted build.prop back to original state..
camera still broken!!
ive rebooted and cleared cache in twrp.
help?

You all need to re install miui rom to fix it. I'm having sony sensor, and it fixed it.
