[RECOVERY] twrp 3.1.1-1 by OpenKirin [FULL DATA DECRYPTION] - Honor 7X ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Devel

Hi, I know there are some TWRP images shared in this subforum but we felt like releasing our own, so that it remains updated and we have control over the source.
This is TWRP 3.1.1-1, nothing you haven't heard about, regular TWRP. The special part of it is that it supports data decryption.
What do I have to do for data decryption to work?
Just remove the screen lock (pin, password, pattern...) and it should be decrypted automatically, don't forget about this!
Whenever you've finished, you can set your password again, but it should be removed every time you want to decrypt data in TWRP.
You can download it here (provisional, I'll find a better way)
Have fun!

Just awesome

So, Can we take full Nand backups from TWRP now?
Hi, I l already have a twrp installed but I couldn't take the full backup as I got some error as reported by a lot of other users. So, If I flash this recovery, will I be able to take full backups?? Can I flash this TWRP using my already installed TWRP or do you recommend command line? Appreciate your work and thanks in advance.

I guess you can flash it from anywhere you want, backups should also work fine.

I tried and it installed well and all but when I tried to take back up from this TWRP version, it comes up with some error and the backup is not successful. I disabled all the pin/passwords.

Dear Developer, I just wanted to let you know that I installed this TWRP version over my openkirin TWRP version. It installed well but the backup doesn't work and is not successful. I disabled the pin/passwords also. What am I doing wrong?

Not working

Not working data still encrypted cant flash anything system always remains busy

I tried to make a backup partition BOOT and DATE. Everything turned out well after I restored it perfectly, but I confirm there is an error "the system partition can not be unmounted" system busy

Dear Developer @XePeleato
Tried on BND-AL10 with following findings.
1. Several times Backup Error
2.Failed to Unmount system
3.Failed to write backup on Internal Memory (i think decrypt failed)
4.Does not memorise the setting eg. enable compression, skip md5, also everytime asks to modify or keep system read only prompt.
after getting error during backup 5-6 times, this twrp managed to create a full backup. however i did not try restoring backup because i dont know unbrick methods, also stock rom has not released yet.
Can anyone conferms if restore works perfectly or not?

Yes, but I did this only with the BOOT, DATA sections. After the restore, everything worked exactly the same, except that the authorization of Google was deleted. With the SYSTEM section it does not work as "SYSTEM BUSY". However, you can backup / restore the SYSTEM partition through another TWRP. Here is the confirmation (in Russian, but I think it's understandable) 4pda.ru/forum/index.php?act=findpost&pid=70660590&anchor=Spoil-70660590-1

[DOWNLOAD] Android Wear update MEC23G to MWD48B

Just got an update on my watch and, as always, pulled the update.zip for you guys!
If you're having troubles installing this ZIP please refer to this post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67403296&postcount=19
----------
Quick Install "Guide" if it's still failing for you:
1) Install TWRP from THIS THREAD HERE
2) Reboot into fastboot mode by turning the watch off and on again and while the black screen shows up constantly swipe from the left upper corner to the lower right corner.
3) Flash the TWRP provided above and reboot into recovery, then push the unpacked TWRP backup into "/sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/xxxxxxxxxxx/" (to get the last folder simply make a backup of only your boot partition first, it's the fastest)
4) Restore the backup provided IN THIS POST HERE onto your watch via the in 1 flashed TWRP
1) MUCH EASIER: Flash these instead the TWRP way, far far easier!
2) Let the OTA update install automatically

I've got TWRP 3.0.?? on the watch and it refuses to flash, error is
Code:
Unable to statfs '/system/.'.
I've flashed the stock recovery in LG G Watch tools. It went fine, so I've proceeded to install the update the standard way. It seemed to be fine, but than it stopped, with the "Dead Android" image. After using the reset button the built in recovery is dead, but the watch boots. Any ideas?
EDIT: TWRP won't mount /system for some reason, you tap the checkbox and nothing happens. Not even as RO.

yeah it can't write to it, you have to use the stock recovery for that. You are able to write to it but you must first format the partition as writable and then flash your system image/ backup. I'm getting the usual "old keys" error of TWRP not error you mentioned, just means The TWRP is too old base

Nope I found it thank god. I had kept a backup of the awful stock kernel just in case when I was initially testing invisiblek's kernel. Luckily its still there in all its awful glory and I will share it here as when you boot up with the stock kernel the system auto flashes the stock recovery because thats how stock is for everything

Btw. I tried going back to stock yesterday (without locking the bootloader tho) but I may have used a wrong or too old stock recovery version.
Also the only reason why the OTA is reporting an issue while flashing the package with the squashfs enabled TWRP is because the script gets a string back that's not identical with the one it expects. Maybe someone could "hack out" that check and make it TWRP flashable.

No the problem is the TWRP was built on an old base of the LG G watch specifically the last 5.1.1 update so the zip thinks the whole system is still on 5.1.1 as TWRP is still on that. I don't think the 6.0.1 source has been released yet so I don't think a recovery could be built with a 6.0.1 base of the lg g watch.

I actually think there are more than 1 cores activate at a time now, the watch has gotten pretty fast with the latest updates and so on, I don't even feel the need for a custom kernel anymore since that.

Nope after about 1 minute after boot the phone locks to 787mhz with userspace governor and I can confirm there is no CPU hotplug aswell. I don't know how you survive with the abysmal lag but ok cool. During the first minute of boot for whatever reason it uses 2 cores and ondemand, would rather have that always lol.

For everyone to enjoy HERE is the stock kernel, @EpicLPer add this to the op to save everyone some trouble. NOTE: you have to boot to system once before the stock recovery is restored. Also it is a twrp backup so you have to adb push it to /sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/ to use it. If someone could just get the boot.img raw that would be great, I was too lazy to do it lel.

It's restore without problem. But it's the same issue: Boot loop.
PS. Why in boot logo, first letter changed to red. When i'm bricked my phone all of letters were white. Maybe I should install C185? I'm from center of Europe.

I'll tell you what I did and you can decide if this contains stock recovery. Me device came with C432B140. I downloaded C432B340 and used the dload folder to upgrade. I then flashed twrp onto the device and took a backup. So I am not sure if stock recovery still exists in the file. I am an amateur so I am not very sure. But if you think this will help others then yeah sure you can post it to the file depot. Glad to be of help.

Stock recovery cannot be backed up with TWRP as it is replaced once you flash TWRP. You also cannot use EFS of other phones. It will destroy your IMEI.

You can backup stock recovery by booting TWRP and not flashing it.
And you are correct DO NOT RESTORE EFS from another phone to yours.
/cust is ok just not oeminfo or efs1 or efs2
All this talk is mostly useless he is going to need a full update.app of B340 to get his working. I know it sucks waiting but he made many mistakes along the line before he came here for help.

What I did to navigate was I had to push the power button then it would bring the screen up where you can swipe the bottom to unlock the screen and use touchscreen. Navigating the storage was odd because it shows it is stuck on Internal storage, but If i click on SDCard, it will take me to that directory. I hope there is a nice update to this is the near future, so we don't have to access it through "adb reboot recovery"
You can flash it if you like I just don't trust this copy yet waiting for an update before I flash it
You can use" fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" to flash rather than "fastboot boot twrp.img " to boot it

Oh man you were so right. I had it flashed and it caused me all kinds of problems, like booting the screen upside down etc. I was finally able to find the recovery.img in another thread and get back the stock recovery. I think I will also wait until there is a more stable TWRP version.
I always use boot to test and I always backup my recovery before flashing because I had that happen to me before

The 20170218 recovery works perfectly with my phone (6/64gb, 820). The first one posted in the OP worked, but was a bit glitchy. The updated one has working SD reading and touchscreen works without having to lock it first.
Could someone please tell me why twrp is booting upside down on my device, and how do I fix it? I just tried to run it in fastboot boot twrp-3.0.3-0-Z016D-20170218.img and once again it loads upside down, however the touch screen is where it normally is suppose to be, which makes it very difficult to navigate the menus. It is very frustrating. This has happened to me multiple times this week. I can't seem to get it to boot/load properly.

It is very frustrating. This has happened to me multiple times this week. I can't seem to get it to boot/load properly.

Are you using the Snapdragon 821 version by any chance? Cause people with the s820 seem to be working fine.

I really don't want to wipe everything and start all over from scratch because everything else is working great right now. I guess if there is no easy solution, then I will just leave it alone. I ran it with fastboot and then made a backup and saved it on my microSD card. But I am worried if I wipe everything and start all over again, then I will have to call my bank again to verify my cards for Android pay. I am running the stock firmware version 1698, with stock recovery, an unlocked bootloader, & rooted. Also have Magisk & Titanium Pro installed, and I verified that Andoid pay works for me. (I already bought something using Android pay).

How did you install Magisk having stock recovery? Using the in-app installation?

It seems @EypCnn is the developer of this TWRP builds...

I flashed Magisk v11.1 with TWRP, then installed Magisk Manager from the Google Play Store, after I rebooted my device. I did that by booting in to TWRP with fastboot to flash the .zip file. I did not flash TWRP to install Magisk.

Wiil try and do
U think it will work on L24?
A bit of context here - my device model is BND-L34 (Mate SE) and I had tried using a method that a user posted in a Mate SE specific thread that detailed how to manually update to Oreo.
Well, that failed miserably and I ended up with a bricked device. I had tried numerous different things to try and revive it (some that I had come up with on my own) and none of them worked. Then I thought to use Multi-Tool to unbrick it with a backup I had lying around but unfortunately it was a Nougat backup.
I had almost lost hope until stumbling upon this thread. I figured I had nothing else to lose so I decided to try to restore my phone with Multi-Tool and your backup files - all except for the system image because MEGA decided to **** block me due to it being a large file (you should definitely upload them elsewhere, by the way), so what I did was use a stock system image someone uploaded in the OpenKirin RROS thread along with the rest of your backup files.
I had also gotten a stock ramdisk_recovery.img file from somewhere else (forgot where but if anyone has trouble finding a stock recovery for Oreo I can upload mine). And VOILA (hope I spelled that right)! My device is back to life on Oreo and I couldn't be more happy.
SO all in all, even if you didn't intend for L34 users to use these files, I want to thank you!
System image I used (see post #2)

Had to put them in a separate post if I didn't wanna go through the trouble of moving the screenshots to my PC and uploading them there
Thanks man, it's great..:good::good::good::good::good:

If twrp works, there is a patch file that you can use to unlock frp.
MOD EDIT: LINK REMOVED
Would be helpful to understand what caused this problem though.

Ok. Some reason twrp does not good a good job with factory resets.
I suggest flash that frp unlock.zip
Then flash stock ramdisk.img and stock kernel.img.
That will remove magisk, for now anyway.
Then try to boot. If still not, then flash stock recovery and do factory reset. But if reset again locks frp. You will be stuck.
If you dont mind resetting from fresh system maybe just reflash with hurupdater or hwota, instead of flashing stock recovery.

View 10 - BKL-L04 - Bringing it all together

My phone is an Honor View 10 model BKL-L04 (American model) build 8.1.0.133 (C567GT).
These are the steps that I used to remove the stock firmware and recovery and replace them with something more to my taste. I did < 1% of the actual work here, I'm just putting everything that I did in once place so that other people may not have to look so hard to find answers.
Requirements
View 10 - If you don't have one then you're in the wrong place. Do NOT follow these directions for any other phone as both the directions and the links are specific to the model mentioned above.
Cash/PayPal - Most of us don't have the skills to pry out the bootloader unlock code ourselves so we must pay someone who does. God knows the manufacturer isn't going to help us out here
SD Card - You can probably get this done purely on internal storage, but weren't you going to put in a nice, big SD card anyway?
SD Card Writer (optional) - You'll need a way to load files onto the card prior to flashing. IMHO getting an SD card writer is the simplest way, but to each their own.
Unlocking
This guy will get you an unlock code for your View 10 for $22 (USD). Order a Bootloader Unlock Code, select the Huawei option "with IMEI", put BOTH of your IMEI numbers in the comments field, submit it and pay via PayPal. I got a code in about an hour. Once you have the code you can follow these directions to perform the unlocking process. If you need a bit more help getting though it then try this guide.
Flash Recovery
Don't use the official TWRP images. As of Dec 8, 2018 neither 3.2.1-0 nor 3.2.1.-1 worked for me (-0 dropped to fastboot after a few seconds and -1 caused a bootloop when entering recovery). Use the latest unofficial image from this page. Directions included. More detailed directions can be found here but make sure to use the TWRP image from the first link.
Copy Zips
Now pick out a ROM (I went with LineageOS 15.1) and copy all the zips you need to your SD card. The list probably includes the ROM itself, gapps, and some type of su/root package. Put them all on your card.
Flash ROM
If you're going with LIneageOS 15.1 as I did then this guide should get you the rest of the way. It has the links for the ROM itself as well as gapps and the su package. Again, be very careful to match exactly your phone model and architecture (arm64 for the View 10) when grabbing these packages.
Extras
You can find the latest stock firmware image for the BKL-L04 here. Be damn sure your phone matches mine before you use it! If you need to pull out the stock recovery for any reason, you can use the update extractor to do this (grab recovery_ramdisk), then flash it the same way you flash TWRP.
Good luck and have fun! I'll try to help if you get stuck but the real knowledgeable people are those that wrote the articles I've linked to.
Cheers!

I didn't have that issue when I was first flashing the ROM, but I do now. If you're having it prior to flashing your ROM would it be because you didn't wipe & format beforehand? The guide I linked in step 5 leads you through this procedure if you need it.
As far as the unmounting error, I think that's something we'll have to live with until the issue is corrected in TWRP.

Hmm. Well, you can either try one of the official builds (here) or wait for the guy doing our customized build to fix this issue. You might even post a note on this thread describing your issue so that he can track how many people are having it.
Sorry I couldn't be more help. The View 10 is not the easiest phone to work with by a long shot.
