How do i unlock LTE band 41 on the global Redmi 5 plus? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / 5 Plus Questions & Answers

It seems only the china version supports band 41, yet the global version does not! My old redmi note 3 pro supported LTE band 41 i think. I feel shocked that the new phone doesnt ..
Anyone know how to enable it?

may be the problem is that their is slight difference in modem hardware between global version and chinese version
if not then you could try flashing china rom over the global rom (take extreme precautions and read carefully how to do this not to brick your device) and see if the band 41 is active
Last resort is to flash only modem software from china rom and test if band 41 is active or not but i do not know how to do so in Xiaomi devices

Verify RN3 version

I purchased Redmi Note 3 Pro from banggood (Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro 5.5-inch 2GB RAM 16GB Snapdragon 650 Hexa-core 4G Smartphone)
After purchasing it I have come to know that there are several versions of the phone: regular, global, special edition. I would like to find out which version my phone is and most importantly, if it is capable of receiving bands 2 and 4 connections.
I am in the US and plan to ATT carrier with the phone. I have seen some threads where users have had success getting 4G on T-Mobile.

You have the regular Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon model (2GB/16GB) codenamed "kenzo"
It comes with 2 official MIUI ROMs & 1 unofficial MIUI ROM which is often flashed by third-party sellers like gearbest, banggood etc.
- China ROM : Chinese, English + No Google Apps
- Global ROM : Muti-language + Google Apps
- Vendor ROM : Multi-language + Google Apps + Malwares + Bloatware
After you receive the device with vendor ROM you can flash official MIUI ROM via EDL mode using PC

Thank you very much for the information, I have already flashed to MIUI 8.
One more quick question, do you know whether my redmi is compatible with ATT bands? I did a quick search on AT&T bands and found the following:
AT&T 4G HSPA and HSPA+ use 850Mhz(Band 5) and 1900Mhz(Band 2) bands but it all depends on area if they own a license. LTE uses Band 17(700Mhz), Band 5(850Mhz), Band 2(1900Mhz), Band 4(1700/2100Mhz) currently.

The specs from the page you provided state:
Supported bands: FDD-LTE (B1/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8), TD-LTE (B38/B39/B40/B41), TD-SCDMA (B34/B39), WCDMA (B1/B2/B4/B5/B8), GSM (B2/B3/B5/B8), CDMA1X/EVDO (BC0)

Check it here for compatibility : http://willmyphonework.net/
Also you may need to contact AT&T support and ask them if they support the required bands via cellular towers in your area. There are tools available online which show the heatmap of the coverage alongwith the band information of a given locality.

Global Rom over Chinese version to get LTE b28 band?

Hi, I'll go to China next week, and I planning to buy this phone there ( Pro version snapdragon 650), Is possible to flash global rom over the chinese version and get support for B28 LTE band?
I think can't. In Taiwan, there are Redmi Note3 special edition. It supports b28, but it's different from other parts of the size, so may have modified hardware.
sorry,my English very poor.

Modify CSC to enable LTE band 3 and 20

Issue: using 3 in the UK and they are running LTE Bands 3 and 20. I am looking at my wife's phone next to mine and she is camped on 3's Band 20. I am using an N900t and it won't allow me to enable those bands, even when forcing to either of them in the service mode. I'm running the OB6 firmware, CSC, and bootloader. The ROM is an Alliance TW 5.0 with TWRP as my recovery. I've also enabled CA as well as LTE Rev 10 to no avail.
I don't know much about how this OS works, but I am thinking that the baseband is reading the CSC and disabling the OCONUS LTE Bands, which is why they won't enable in the service mode. There is no other CSC for that firmware on sammobile, and I've read that flashing a mismatched CSC can cause incompatibility issues.
Thoughts?
I definitely posted this in the tmo note 3 form, not sure how it got here...

My Poco f1 does not run band 2500 ( 41) anymore

Hello everyone,
As the address topic, My Poco f1 does not run band 2500 ( 41) anymore
I have global ver on android 10 with miui 12.0.2.0 staple , and I used to run my GSM Sim with 2500 band ( 4g) on Android 9 ( pie) Without any problem, but before months ago after update , the phone can't run the Sim and it did not recognize it , but I can see the name of Sim Carrier and all things !! All settings as usual, the Sim on the LTE only mode , really I can't figure out what can I do!!
Also I tried to run the 4g Sim on other poco f1 phones same issue ,, but in phones like redmi note 8 pro or huawei p30 or any phone run band 41 , it's starting without any issue ?
Plz help me , I tried all things that I know , and the xda developers is my last chance ?
And now I am on another carrier 2g with band 900
But I Want my 4g ?
No one help
Backup yoiur data, Unlock bootloader, flash twrp, wipe all, install a custom rom like resurrection remix. Miui 12 is full of bugs, don't use it.

Question Can We Unlock WiFi 6E(6GHz) by flashing to EU firmware?

Can we Unlock the Support to WiFi 6E(6GHz) support on the Snapdragon 888 by flashing the firmware to EU version?
Like the default China MIUI firmware won't support 6Ghz when it's not enabled in China, but I don't know if there's 6GHz RF and Antenna which could allow us to flash the phone to EU version, then able to connect my new router which supports WiFi 6E(6GHz).
I couldn't unlock by EU fw. To unlock 6GHz, We have to use Custom ROM that MIUI based such as Xiaomi.eu and MMX, and set Wi-Fi region(on additional settings) to UK or South Korea.

May I know if your hardware is bought from China, or it's the CA/US/EU/HK version?
I wasn't sure if the China version is having 6GHz antenna or not...

As far as I knew, it's the Xiaomi12/pro which is using Snap 8Gen1 which has the 6G support for sure.
Then I can flash the MMX or Xiaomi.eu to Xiaomi12 to get it support 6GHz.
There's no clarification from Xiaomi.eu official support 6Ghz wifi so far...
I just searched on their forum, there's basically nothing there

My device (Mi 11) is global version. and I have 6GHz router. I hope use 6GHz on AOSP roms such as Pixel experience and Evolution X but it can't cuz can't change wifi region on it. Pixel 7 and 7 Pro support 6GHz for sure after Dec 2022 update. I want Xiaomi 12 but Xiaomi 13 will support Wi-Fi 7 soon.
