Hello all,
If anybody interested in stock Lineage 15.1, not touched and compiled as is, this is right place.
Sources will be synced everyday and new build will be uploaded automatically. No fixes or modifications are planned from my side, only sync and build existing Lineage source code. It will be stopped as soon as Lineage launches official 15.1 builds.
Some info:
- bugs: all Lineage bugs
- root: system is already rooted with integrated SU from Lineage. To enable root - go to developer options, enable root access for apps.
- if you are coming from other rom, clean flash is recommended.

Rom must be flashed with latest TWRP version.

Due to some stuff not yet merged at Lineage side (like binderized hal to get LiveDisplay working), I decided to keep my builds alive for now. So, differences in compare to official Lineage builds:
- rooted by default (Lineage SU) - to unroot, flash lineage su removal zip
- Live Display works

Test and report. Camera focus is the same as Lineage 14.1. Bluetooth audio, I have not tested yet
I wasn't able to flash the latest build I got an error 7 in TWRP.. so I moved on.

Make sure you have latest twrp version. Also make sure download is not corrupted, check md5
Since Daydream isn't working in any of the AICP ROM's as of now, do you know if it works on LOS 15.1? And does QS torch work?

Nope, it does not work. It keeps showing message this phone is not compatible and does not allow to use.
QS torch won't work on any rom, you need 3rd party app.

Heyyo, a better and permanent camera focus fix is slowly in the works that won't require focus fix or not fix kernels or toggles and the likes... no idea when that will be resolved as I'm not the one working on it.
speaker sound might be fixed. Please test.
Unsure for bluetooth but some changes were made recently. Please test.

OmniPS reverted back to the camera shim used in Nougat ROMs. It probably has the same bugs as Nougat ROMs such as zoom not always being centered and no idea if video streaming such as video calls work on his shim or if it's broken like Nougat ROMs.
The idea with the OSS Camera HAL is to fix the bugs it has and have a better solution going forward.
New build up. But, WTF, Mega does not allow to download or what? I am able to download after I log in to my mega account.

I have not tested today's build yet. However, on previous one loud speaker while calling broken - too loud, bad sound and volume control not working.

Exactly. The OSS HAL already works far better. Torch toggle is an extremely minor annoyance.

There is one annoying bug, I am unable to take panorama and photo sphere photos with google camera. Pictures are not focused and useless. Focus should be set to infinity by default, but it does not. I don't know if issue exists on Nougat, not tested

It is not Anik's build look at the title and read the description. I shared it because there are people like me who wants to taste new version quickly. You can wait for stable or official build its your choice.

Use 3rd party apps.
Up and running - haven't used it a great deal so far, but it boots, is stable.
If you need gapps, just google Gapps for Android 8. I found that the flash never 'completed' in TWRP but it was fine after a force reboot.

To those who doesn't want to use navigation bar you can edit your build.prop simply add qemu.hw.mainkeys = 1
There is also a bug. Long pressing home button doesn't lead to recent apps for this use 'button remapper' app to fix the issue.

I used this batch here.
Flash in TWRP. Note: the install 'process' never completes, but after it returns a successful flash, press and hold the power button to force a reboot. Works fine..

Everithing that its system related do not backup/restore, its asking for problems, user apps and user apps data should not be an issue.

I'm afraid that's not entirely true.Aex oreo is not using sultan's hals and camera still works fine except for the video recording,which is bound to fix soon.

Good for him, even on mine was facing the video recording issue, the fix was easy on my case.
Just need to change some paths of audio.

Its all moved to vendor folder in my case. This fixed audio sound problems and video camera recording.
first of all, thanks for developer, it is the step forward and anyway like it or not, it just another one rom at the popular base (oreo), so we can think that our device is still not forgotten. 3 oreo roms here,,,
then i'd like to share my exp with this rom.
- it's very fast and simple to install, i've just flashed twrp under my cm13 and wiped data, cache and system, no storage wipe, no format. just a few moments and it works without boaring startup wzrd.
- i've got less SOD situations at first use. may be i can see it after installantion of progs (and their services), but other roms (except stock) shows much worse results, and i even suppose i'll be able to use it in casual life (no custom roms can do it before: hydrogen 7.12., flyme 6. oreo - even didn't started properly).
- the fail is that the buttons are not configurable, i hope i can use something like mi-pop or other soft-button app.
- i see, there are some other bug can be, there is a first build, so, feel free to write you first looks.

Just flashed it and it seems to be working fine. The only problem i have with it is that it's missing the widevine drm blob and without it apps like netflix won't work. There are a lot of commits on lineage gerrit. Can you maybe take a look at it?

I kanged angler's widevine blob, just like others did on lg g3 / opo, and widevine is still not working somehow huh
Also, Lineage has picked up network usage monitoring support. I will post an updated zip later.
Maybe @razorloves can give a hint on what might be the problem

Can't reproduce. Audio is as loud as ever here (aka not much, this is a Nexus 5)

Checkout the latest open commit on the official gerrit for an updated device tree. Use the kernel I linked in the first post and a normal vendor.
It will fail to build on display/gps/maybe other stuff, take a look into the open commits for those on gerrit too and cherry pick the fixes.
On the build I mentioned, I'm delaying it until more stuff is in (which there seems to be now). So one may be coming later today.
Here is the aforementioned new build
- Added Privacy Guard
- Added LiveDisplay tile
- Removed NFC (it was broken anyway and was causing battery life and phat logcat issues)
- More stuff I forgot that I read on gerrit

I've made a modded version of the great "Simple Camera" by SimpleMobileTools ( simplemobiletools.github.io ) to work with the secondary pocophone cameras including the front facing infrared camera, you can record videos and take pictures, it's free, no ads, no analytics, and open source.
Working:
- Camera and using back secondary camera or infrared camera on LineageOS/AOSP roms

Miui eu global dev 8.12.27 and it has all the permission (camera, storage, and microphone)

NOT WORKING on MIUI roms - it seems that on MIUI they have disabled the camera access/configuration on newer versions, they even removed the CIT IR camera test.... Maybe with root there is a way to reconfigure miui to allow the two new cameras to work, still investigating, if someone has an idea i would love to know

What's not working:
Iris sensor does not work because AOSP upstream does not support that yet.
IMS services (VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc). Samsung has their own proprietary implementation. It is not really possible to easily port that to LineageOS.
Bugs:
S-Pen/Mouse will cause small graphical glitches during button animations sometimes.
Instructions:
Make sure TWRP has been installed and is functional
Download the latest build and CSF9 vendor.img (optionally gapps and magisk if needed)
Reboot to recovery
Wipe data and cache (required if you switch from other ROMs)
Flash the vendor image
Flash the latest build (then gapps and magisk if needed)
Reboot
How to update builds?
Do not wipe anything unless stated in the changelog
Flash only the rom.zip and it will automatically reinstall your gapps, magisk etc
use /system/addon.d if you would like to keep system mods after an update

The N960F and N variants are pretty much the same if I'm not mistaken, so should work fine. If you can, try it and report back!
It's not possible for a Samsung camera app port for this rom right?

Pixel launcher is crashing for me.

The battery is not good about 5 hours on screen with full wifi. not as good as los 15.1

Everyone does. Seems to be an issue with the Pixel Launcher its self. You can use Lawnchair if you want an equivalent.

I downloaded a random launcher from the store but Ill try Lawnchair.
I also noticed that the camera stopped working.
When i first installed the rom it was working, and after a while it kept force closing.
I cant manage to get it to work anymore.
Does anyone know how to show bigger pictures for contacts when they are calling?

Try a different dialer from the playstore or a substratum theme.
