Hi, I wanted to know if there is a way to turn off the automatic magnetic unlock feature of the HDX 7. I've got a case that sometimes will turn of (lock) my HDX7.

Here are my issues with face unlock.
1) Not as secure as you'd think.
Test, take your picture with another phone, hold the phones face to face - unlock
2) SLOW.... If it fails to recognise you, it goes to pattern or pin unlock. This in itself is fine, but in low light it will really struggle to recognise your face. You will waste valuable seconds waiting while it tryies only to have to use pattern / PIN anyway.
Comclusion, nice try, nice gimmick but not the next big thing. Biometrics would have been good, like the Atrix.

The only way to lock the screen is to push the power button. Now, depending on the Lumia you own, you can use double tap to unlock and set the screen timeout to ~ 1 minute. That's probably as close as you can get to what you want.

there is no app, and no way unless you have an interop unlocked phone... the SDK simply doesn't provide such functionality... sorry mate :/
Hello all, I have trigger setup to automatically turn on my lockscreen with a pin when I plug it in to charge, as sometimes people get nosey while you sleep. I was wondering if either app or perhaps some other one has a way to automatically turn off the lock screen notifications at the same time the phone locks, and then when my other trigger to disable the lock screen (when my phone connects via bluetooth to my truck) it could turn them back on?
Anyone know if this is possible?

I have disabled ALL VIBRATIONS in the device, even the vibration strength I have turned all the three off.
but still I can't turn the vibration feed back when unlocking my G5 screen using fingerprint scanner !!!

I have used the HTC 10 for a while and I sold it for same reason, no way to turn vibration when unlocking off.
I just checked that GravityBox can do it.
But since you are on H860 on Nougat, it won't work for you unfortunately.
And I think there is hardly a way to do it without root.

I believe Android OEM's should think seriously about the vibration thing, so when a smartphone owner turn the vibration off that mean's it should keep off.
through my search & experience I found out that vibration when unlocking screen with fingerprint is normal with LG, HTC, Huawei & even Nexus smartphone.
very annoying thing
good that Sony & Samsung doesn't have this issue.
when in DND, the phone does not vibrate if you unlock it with fingerprint.
