Can we install Google phone apk on lg v30? What's the advantage of Google phone?

I disabled the stock contacts app and dialer. Google phone and contacts is faster. Better interface.. Over ugly LgUi.. Search online for the Google phone app that is compatible with other Android phones. The one on play store isn't compatible, i found a modified version on xda

While most custom roms support NFC now; google wallet has yet to work on our phones.
I think there's a port on for the i9100. not sure about this phone.

No way, considering the I9100 (except for the I9100P) does not even have NFC hardware.
GWallet has been ported to the Nexus S (non-Sprint) and I think to the GNex.
I've gotten everything to not FC, but Google Wallet will not load past initializing. Not quite sure why at this point though.

Actually there isn't an ICS version. It's telling him to be on 2.3.7, the first Android version to support Google Wallet.
I flashed a 4.0.3 rom and google wallet works perfectly. Only problem is that the rom is unstable and it's for i9100 so the capacitive buttons don't work correctly. On my current rom (ics'd out v9) it won't go past the "Initializing" screen.
My razr is using stock ics rom, and I found an app called "kaixin001 authenticator",
Which doesn't seem like original app, anyone come across this?
I think its like a Chinese version of Facebook...not 100% but thats what i came up with on the net.

I knew what is kaixin001 from the Internet, but I didn't install this app and the app don't even exist in the play store

All of those authenticators are stock moto and used for setting up all your accounts (Facebook, twitter, what have you). There are a good dozen of them at least. Apparently kaixin is popular enough to include.
It kinda looks like the Hardee's/Carl's JR logo. Maybe you can get yourself a free burger :highfive:

yup, fresh stock rom.. saw it even before I rooted it.
I saw it on mine as well. I have frozen it and hasn't affected anything. Its Bern on all four of my razrs

I think it is used only for the accounts app to authenticate you in that social net... as i don't have any account of that i just deleted it, as i did with much other bloatware that comes with stock firmware. Any problems so far (>1 week since i did it).
This sort of app "google settings" (the green icon in the picture I attached) got downloaded on my phone while browsing this site "movie2k" I think is called and now I can't remove it anyone knows any info about this. Ty in advance.

Perhaps you should ask in the movie2k forums since that type of site is excluded from discussion on XDA.

No, I'm glad you did.
Now everyone who reads this thread knows to steer clear of that site. I certainly wouldn't want anyone installing apps in the background and messing around with my Google settings.

That's interesting.
I've had Google+ installed on multiple ROM's and have never seen that app. And I didn't know that installing one app could automatically install other app(s).

I just flashed my phone i got the same icon on my Galaxy S2. I guess it's a new android thing.
Looks like this might explain it.

Don't you know one apk can add two or more icons for different things? Like camera.apk in sense ROMs adds both camera and camcorder , like just gallery.apk adds gallery+camera on few jellybean. It could have been similar thing with Google+ though its not.
EDIT : I see you edited it yourself.

An icon is one thing, but it was referenced in one of the posts above as a Google+ settings app. It doesn't appear to be that but instead an icon that gives access to the settings in Google Play Services 3.0.
I just cleared data for the "Google Play services" app and now I have the icon in my app drawer.

No I'm not rooted so have to do a regular sideload. I can't get it from the Google Play Store.

I would like to know if this worked also. I'm currently using the dev rom and would like the att variation of the messages/vvm app back.

I just installed the att visual voicemail app from play store. Accomplished the same goal. I don't think there is a way unless you reinstall twrp and modify system
Viper has the carrier bases integrated into rom so you get to keep vvm and volte.
