[SOLVED] I need "/odm/etc/camera/" folder please - Honor 9 Questions & Answers

Hi, I had written bad command in ADB and almost all in this folder (/odm/etc/camera/) is deleted.
Can somebody pls send me this folder as ZIP? I use OpenKirin's AOSP Treble Oreo but it's not importnant. I think that the folder is same for all version of EMUI/Android.
Please, please, please, without it I can't capture any photo.

How did you that ? more in detail please, could be usefull. Root needed I think ?

OK I will try to explain this situation but my English is slightly bad. In a nutshell I had bought used Honor 9 with bad microphone (probably broken flex cable, idk) and I was wondering, how to fix it. I found on Google Play app 'Root Volume Mixer', but it's not working. After searching some information about it I found out, that in "/odm/etc/" folder are some configuration files (.xml, .conf). In this folder you can change a lot of things (e.g. boost up audio jack sound, turn off one of the microphones,...). I changed here microphone intensity and solved my problem.
This Thread is about that I had editted some camera '.xml' files and I had set bad permission (by mistake I had written bad command and had changed permission for whole folder), therefore I didn't see a lot of files in root browser. Today I found out, that all files&folders are still in folder "/odm/etc/camera/". I simply set same permission as before (using chmod calculator, ADB shell and SU) and problem is solved.

thanks !

[Q] Witch "Camera mod" to choose?

Hello, this is my first post on XDA
in the "Development" section I've read about a camera mod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1104051.
It add some good feature to the camera stock app like:
Records Audio in 192kbps/44.1Khz quality (CD Quality) rather than stock (64kbps/16khz quality)
Increased Video Bitrate in 1080 and 720p modes* (See 2nd post for info and download link for this version)
I would to try this hack, but I am confused on witch APK to download and use, the Potatoman and the hyperX-'s release are identical or not?
i believe there is only one mod as of right now. The mod you posted above is based off of the original and does nothing but improve the camera. Safe to say this is THE mod to use my friend!

Thank you!
So I can download the modded APK from here without problems? Is it THE mod?
You can dl it from here or glash one of the fantastic roms that have it included.
Now I am trying to install the camera hack on my phone, I renamed the original Camera.apk in Campera.apk.bak and copied the hacked Camera.apk in /system/app, but when I try to execute it to install, the installation starts but it ends with message "Application not installed", why?
What'is my error?
I use Root Explorer...
You don't have to install it after copying to system/app, just copy, then set permissions correct and reboot..

Thank you, now I try, but witch are the correct permissions?!?
EDIT: I set permissions to rx-r--r-- like the original app, now it seems work!
I recorded a video at 720p with the hacked Camera.apk, I controlled media info with VLC and with Windows Explorer "Property->Details" tab, the value they show are 11880 kbps for the video bitrate and 16 kHz, 60 kbps, mono for audio. I think that there are the value for a video recorded with default app, or not?
Help pleaseee!!!
hey, i am trying to hack my camera too, how do you move the camera.apk to system/app if i have it in my file/download, thanks

You must have rooted your phone and you must use a file manager like Root Explorer!
i know, my phone is rooted and have root explorer installed. But i can't paste anything on system/app from my file/download, i could just move files around in my file

Mount the filesystem in R/W mode (read and write), default setting is RO (read only), use the button in the upper side of the screen.
i know this step, i mean, how do you paste the .apk to system/app from the bluetooth folder in my file? because i use bluetooth to transfer the .apk into my phone, but i have no idea how to paste it into root explorer, seems like i can only move it around to those folders in my file. i know i am such a noob, sorry for asking so many silly questions.

You must navigate throught your phone's filesystem with Root Explorer, find the folder where the file Camera.apk is (I think it is /sdcard/bluetooth) copy the file and paste it in /system/app (all operation of copy/move/paste are possible with Root Explorer).
I hope I help you, I'm Italian and I'm not a native speaker of English...

using it without changing the files, it works QuickPic, Copilot.
In google maps does not work. Not even in browsers like Opera or Ninesky.
But I thought that by modifying these files, worked in the rest.

Where is the other file "hw_config.sh"? Because what I found I had no voice "insmod" ...

Not sure what ROM you're using, but you may need this file to get the other apps using dualtouch:

this is the problem?? I've Stock ROM 2.1update1 with firmware 2.1.1.A.06
then, I have to create that file and copy it into /system/etc/permissions with rootexplorer...
now I try this...and you know I do!
EDIT: NOT WORKING...I have create that file (copy and paste the code in the frame in a txt file, and renamed android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.xml) then I've paste it into /system/etc/permissions and associated it permission rw-r-r
rebooted and not working...single touch.
yet launched from the console does the dual touch working in some applications ... why?
EDIT 2: Please do not send me to hell, but by creating the file and rebooting, if I launch "insmod" from the console, dual touch works in all apps!
How is it possible, however, that the changes to make it start with phone not work?
I want to work "even" when I restart the phone!
Did you try this version?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13498769&postcount=56
I couldn't get it to work when doing it manually. but when I load it from the SD card through adb it works.
I ended up using the AAIS script and replacing the module in the AAIS with the one in the link.

I do not know which is doing a script AAIS, because I'm not well prepared ... I do not know how to do it ...

With this script you can enable and disable a lot of things ... I can just see if it works ...and let you know ...
I wanted to ask, but what is JIT? what does it do?
thank you in advance for availability ..
EDIT: Works!!! without launching the script, I went just to see how the command was written in the file "hw_config.sh" ...
I corrected, and after restarting, it works!
I was wrong because we put the quotes, but no need to write.
The correct lines of code to be included in the file "hw_config.sh" (at bottom) are:
# load multi touch driver
insmod /system/lib/modules/cy8ctma300_ser.ko
sleep 1
After you have copied into system/lib/modules "cy8ctma300_ser.ko" , mounted it as rw-rr , and edit the file "build.prop" as indicated in the post.
works!!!
thanks!!!!

i think he's talking about Wi-Fi drops / disconnection. But seems to be a problem that touched some users and not others.
Could you maybe provide the file you're refering too - would be helpful I guess.
giving it a try.. when you copy it from oxygen os, paste it in downloads otherwise the system will wipe it out if its just under internal. I turned off wifi and deleted the old WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini and then pasted in the copy from downolads and rebooted making sure the pasted one stuck and not rewritten. Using resurrection remix so I will update if it works

If any of you interested in the changes about this ini file over the time check this out:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...682640955ae42055dc701/wifi/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini
same here.it worked for me too. my wifi speed is pretty good now.
Trying this right now, let's see what it does to my ever dropping WiFi in CM based roms.
Made a flashable zip for this, credited Tierri in the script
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995305319
EDIT:
Just noticed I didn't set permissions in the script, need someone to confirm the format in numbers for this, check this line?
set_perm(0777, 0644, 0644, "/system/etc/wifi/WCNSS_qcom_cfg");
Also noticed something else which makes me think this fix might not be what you think it is, this file already exists in the following folder:
/system/etc/firmware/wlan/qca_cld/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini
I think this is the method CM uses to add configs for individual devices, since they have to support multiple ones.

Here is the one from /data/misc/wifi in my phone (http://www.mediafire.com/download/pfffjcxt428m811/wpa_supplicant(2).conf)
And here is the /etc/wifi (http://www.mediafire.com/download/1svvdqehmtp8wm0/wpa_supplicantt.conf) Notice that I put 2 t's at the end because otherwise it would overwrite the file with the on above this so basically when copying the file to /etc/wifi remove the t.

Hi, I've got problem with HwParent and HwIntelligent, how install them if they are not installed in the original ROM...because I can't install them normally...package corrupt it says me....

Hey,
thank you for explaining the manual way - that helped me a lot and also fixed a second problem i have had.
The problem was, that after the update my FM Radio was gone.
I found the app here but i cant push files by ADB as root. So i just installed doing the same way:
i copied the apk to an own folder to /system/app/ , set permissions, rebbooted and it worked perfect.
all your apps are working too.
Except the parental controll - i didnt install it because nothing planned yet... ^^
