Is there a way of increasing the size of the font on the status bar. They are very small and difficult to read.

Really I looked for many time and only editing some framework can enlarge specifically the letters in notifcation bar but I find an option that improves this and it is a feature that is included in almost all nougat rom based on AOSP; changing display size, for access to this hidden menu in miui you have to install from Play Store "Activity Launcher" go to All apps

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
then go to Settings/Vision Settings
Then Display Size
And finally select the size, I have it in this point cause the maximum level also enlarge the icons and can look some weird
And in this roms is most optimized the size of letters, don´t change the size applying themes https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76049325&postcount=65

Thanks :good:, apparently app hasn't been updated since 2015, but working in MIUI 9.5 (Nougat):victory:.

Thanks. I used it to make screen size smaller.
I used Nova launcher activity shortcut.

Thanks, I will definitely increase the font to my mother.. She really needs some HUGE fonts to read hahah

I also found other app that does the same but it has this option "vision settings" more accesible. it works for miui, you´ll find it in Play Store; it´s called "MiAppa"
And an additional step to get optimum size (at least the most you can cause there is not an app that can change dpi per section) for users with some visual deficiency or that simply prefer enlarge all, is to set dpi to 490 value (for miui) and the size letter to medium, to change easily dpi there is an app like "Root essentials"
Don´t combine the two things, display size with dpi changed so display size works better with stock dpi cause the apps that can change display size don´t have all the steps in sizes like aosp roms integrated to display menu natively.

I've played now a little while with it. This is more a construction kit for a launcher than a launcher itself. Very nice idea. I will give the payed versoin a chance.
I installed it a couple of days ago.
I really like the way it handles widgets. I haven't seen any other launcher like it.
Also I like the fact that there is no dock in the main screen.
And it's also very easy to change icons, dock backgrounds or other images (I have just set some of them to transparent).
Very nice feature is also that you can make two differnt homescreen views. One for vertikal mode and one for the horizontal mode. There is also an option to publish the themes you've made by your own. Here you can find a small introduction.

Below you can see some pictures of my first try with ssLauncher. The first two of them are showing the homescreen in portrait and landscape mode. I will give a little work on it and try to make a theme.apk out of it.

[Q] google experience launcher - grid size

Hi, since 12.12.13 there is a new update of google search in playstore.
If i install this update, the google experience launcher changes the grid size (now i have less icons) and some widgets disappear or are resized.
Is there a possibility to change the grid size of the experience launcher desktop with a hack?
I would also like to know what has happened to the grid, as now I cannot have my homescreen as it used to be.
I wonder if this is anything to do with the new 'tablet mode' in the launcher. (install on an N7, then turn horizontally)
Funny, that the launcher is not officially supported on tablets!
For the time being, I have just reverted to GSearch 3.1.8. (or whatever it is!)
I am a developer, but I cannot find any reference to grid size in either the Launcher or Search APKs.
If you know, please reply

There are there modes phone, phabet and tablet. With Android 4.4, tablet mode is not available anymore. To switch between different modes use this tool
I think that it does not depend on the tablet oder phone mode. Other user have the same problem on different devices. (home button not in the middle, widgets deleted and and ...)
Hate to post in an older thread, but this is one of the first results when you start looking for ways to adjust the grid size.
GravityBox[KK] can change the grid size on the GEL launcher, but it's not perfect.

some widgets don't take to kindly to being squished down. like BeautifulWidgets.

Thanks for this. I was looking for a way to get the grid size larger on my Note 3. The resize ability for widgets is great too. I got it working using the Kit Kat version of Gravity Box, despite the fact that the dev says it may not work on Touchwiz ROMs.

Nice idea, but...

If you run non-stock DPI, it will take a LOT of work to get widgets to display correctly.
I am running SlimKat 4.4.2 on Galaxy Note 2 with global DPI 245, and had offset widgets from the start, which wasn't surprising. So I installed Xposed & App Settings module, set Themer to 320 DPI, rebooted to recovery, wiped cache & dalvik, launched Themer again, and still had graphical glitches:

I tinkered with individual widget settings and discovered the widgets are positioned in absolute pixels from margins. It would be awesome if users had the option to set graphical elements in relative terms, ie, a percentage of the distance from margins/center.

Nice idea, using relative positioning and size (HTML like?) would make themes more usable on different screen resolutions. However, this would not play well with themes that have the objects designed directly into the wallpaper
I don't understand what are you trying to say. Can you clear it for me?

Grame, do you have any experience with HTML and CSS?
If you do styling of text in them you have a possibility to chose precise or relative size of text by using tags saying something like:
font-size: 16px - this is absolute size of text
but you can also say :
font-size: 2em - this is relative size saying that the text should be double the standard size for what ever the default text size is on the device
Same is possible for size and position where you can define them in pixels or percents
As I understand what OP said, Themer now uses positioning in pixels (absolute) like setting the battery status 10 pixels from right border and 10 from top. If theme instead allowed for percentage (as well as pixels) it would help with scalability of themes for different sizes and resolutions. As I said the only issue to solve would be graphics that are built into the wallpaper.
I am also having a lot of trouble with widgets on themer

[Q] What is keyguard?

Hi guys what is keyguard? And where is the file of lockscreen notifications?

The keyguard refers to the lockscreen aspect that manages unlocking the phone and will prompt you to input a PIN or whatever security measure you have setup. For lockscreen notification's I would recommend taking a look at the notifications documentation as most app handle their own lockscreen notifications themselves. Let me know if you have any other questions I'll be happy to help you out.
Thanks But i cant find lockscreen notification folder in this documentation. I want to use other roms lockscreen notifications on my phone. But i dont now where is it
. And How can i change the color of ram usage menu line, music player time line? (Its blue on tw)

Unfortunately you can't just directly put in other ROM's locksreen notifcation setup into your current ROM. And for the color modification look in your system settings apk and go into the xml and their should be a file for values that stores the hexadecimal color value which you can change.

g-visual mod for full screen under 11

Anyone got this magisk module working (or any other full-screen mod) under 11 on the 4a? Would love to use the notch area when using various reading apps (including Chrome)!
bump? I'm looking for this as well, g-visual made me bootloop.

Yeah, still looking lol. Let me know if you find anything
It seems to be working now but I'm still not able to get full screen reading in Chrome and other apps due to lack of a proper immersive mode. This app seems to work but a bit kludgy:
Fullscreen Immersive - No Ads, No Root - Apps on Google Play
Fullscreen immersive mode in applications or games

I had a look into this today, and it appears that the area across where the hole punch for the camera lies, which also acts as the status bar, can only be used if the app itself is modified for this. I *think* i saw one app that extended into this area.
Using the following coode, one can set immersice mode for specific apps. I tested on A11 with no nav, and all it did was change the colour of the status bar. But it was still there. I also tried an app that has the option to hide the status bar, and I think it hid the clock etc, but the area reserved for the status bar was still unused.
The commands I played with were:
Code:
settings put global policy_control immersive.full=diamondjohndroid.utility.temefi;
settings get global policy_control;
#start the app, but only status bar colour changes
# undo the change
settings delete global policy_control;
Naked browser uses status bar without immersive installed
