"Themes from third party sources are not supported. Error Download auth rejected"
From Miui 9.5 we know that no more way to apply 3rd party themes even you had designer account. so i have found some solution(from rn4 thread) and modified some files to work for kenzo.
Note: Iam not responsible for device bricked or stuck on boot logo or anything happens. take nandroid backup before flashing
If you are on Redmi Note 3(kenzo) running MIUI 9.5.1.0
Here is the solution-
1. Download the zip. (download link below)
2. Flash it using TWRP recovery. (No need to clear any cache / dalvik.)
3. Reboot (This will take longer than usual, just wait.)

What if you dont have TWRP flashed and you don't want to flash it? What's the way out!
And now that there is new update 9.6.2.0 does this method apply?

If you're using MIUI global beta ROM, please open 'Updater' app on your phone and check for the update!
This OTA has not been pushed for stable ROMs yet. So if you're using stable ROM, you need to download the ROM first and flash it by yourself.
Or you can download the full ROM files in the thread and flash the ROM by yourself. To get some tips on how to flash your device, please refer to this link: http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
Do remember to make a backup before flashing.
How to update MIUI 7 Global Beta Rom using custom Recovery(TWRP/CWM)?
First download the .zip file.
Mount your devices SD card and copy the .zip file over.
Boot up to your devices custom recovery.
Wipe your Dalvik-Cache in the Wipe Menu. And then go back to the recovery's main menu.
There should be an option that says "Flash .zip from SD Card", select it.
Select the .zip file you wish to flash.
Confirm flashing of .zip file.
Wait for the file to flash; and if successful, reboot
How to flash fastboot rom?
Select the right MIUI ROM version for your phone from the listed (3G version does not have fastboot ROM!), and download the corresponding package file. Please Find and download here
Turn off the device. Press the Volume– key and the Power button at the same time to enter Fastboot mode. Then connect the device to the Windows PC/laptop via a micro USB cable
Double click on the downloaded ROM file to decompress it. Open the file folder for the decompressed ROM pack, and copy its path on the computer.
Decompress the MIUI ROM flashing tool downloaded in Step 1, and double click on it to install (if there is security warning, select 'Run'). After installation is completed, open MiFlash.exe and paste into the address bar the ROM file folder path copied in the last step.
Click on the first button (circled out in yellow) to Refresh, and MiFlash should automatically recognize the device. Then click the second button (circled out in red) to flash the ROM file to the device
Wait until the progress bar inside MiFlash turns fully green, which means the ROM has been successfully installed. Then your device should automatically boot to the new version.
How to root MIUI 7 Global Beta Rom?
Always do a backup in case of bootloop.
Notenly this method working TWRP / CWM recovery
Download(Super Su) the zip file and copy it on the root of your sdcard.
Reboot to recovery and install the zip file.
Reboot system and you should have supuersu app.
To Unroot, just go to the supersu app and find full unroot. Reboot.

No. It was "update" to early system.

I'm planning on to use the 'select update package' from updater app
So you have 4 new theme before install 5.8.22.
I think it is because you had Chinese room preinstalled.
New Home...Hurraaaayyyy...
if the current download appears Bad Gateway ... you can change the writing becomes bigota to obigota on the link and try again to download it ...
Apply Third Party Themes Without Xiaomi Designer Account -
Prerequisites -
1. TWRP Zip File
2. Xposed Zip File
3. Root.zip (Recommended)
Procedure :
1. Flash TWRP from Updater App (if using MIUI).
2. Flash Root.zip file from TWRP.
3. Now install Xposed Installer App in your Redmi 2 Prime.
4. After that, flash Xposed.zip from TWRP (No Wipes Required).
5. Now activate your Xposed Installer.
6. Now you will see 4 Options there -
a) Framework b) Modules c) Download d) Logs
7. Now go to the Download Option.
8. Search for "MIUI 8 Tweaks" and install it.
9. Now go to the Modules option in the same app.
10. Tick mark the module named as "MIUI 8 Tweaks"
11. Reboot is Recommended to activate module. Reboot!
12. Now go in MIUI 8 Tweaks and go to Apps section.
13. Now go in Theme Manager Option.
14. Turn On "Patch Importing & Buying Themes Option"
15. Now Reboot your phone.
16. Now you can apply 3rd party themes.
Note : I have successfully tested that on my Redmi 2 Prime phone and it is working.

Has anyone got a solution for MIUI 9 and error 402 while installing themes from .mtz? Unfortunately MIUI 8 Tweaks stopped working after update to MIUI 9 and i cannot find a way to set a theme from Xperia again.. Tried MIUI Theme Editor, but it doesn't help.

prerequisite
1: unlocked bootloader
2:rooted stock ROM it should be on Miui 9/9.5.4.0
Global stable ROM (skipable /not mandatory)
( In my case it's Indian stable ROM)
3: twrp recovery installed / custom recovery
Let's start
1:go download the necessary zip files from links down below
2: power off your device
3: press and hold power+volume up simultaneously
To boot into recovery
4: locate the ( 1) zip file and flash
"Lib.face-id.zip" - to enable face unlock
5: if u want to revert back perform steps 2,3
Then locate (2) zip file
"Settings_original.zip and flash
Any assistance is greatly appreciated

I flashed this zip and everything about face unlock works great!! but the Full Screen Gesture option is now missing from the settings. So I decided to flash the second zip to restore the settings and now my settings app crashes at start.
Am using Redmi Note 5 with MIUI 9.5 Stable

Because of you I am now able to access settings.
So I have a question
The think zip also edited some other filed because there were other files too with the zip.
Please help

I know you are talking about the MiuiKeyguard .
From miui 10 rom doesn't support MiuiKeyguard function.
But some miui based custom ROM support face unlock. But at the moment o can't remember the name of ROM.

There are some lib files too in zip which are also exist in device directory.
Can they be problem in future?
Also you are saying MiuiKeyguard function is not supported in miui 10. But there is MiuiKeyguard apk in priv-app folder.
So was it created by zip only?

Yes it is, main dev asked me to create that group exclusively for poco, so it is the official for our device

How did u flash? Me always ending with error 7. Were u on miui before this ROM?
Can you guide us with the step by step procedure to flash , cause it ends up with error..

Error 7 can probably be solved by flashing latest TWRP.
Take backup
Wipe system data
Format SD card
Reboot to recovery
Flash ROM
It'll work
