you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1.Download and install Odin,usb drivers.
2.Power off the device and boot into download mode by holding [VOLUME DOWN/HOME & POWER].
3.A Warning screen appears, now press volume up once and connect the phone to the PC.
4.Open Odin with admin rights and you should see the phone added at some ID COM: port if not then you have to download and install the appropriate drivers.
5.Now click on AP and select the downloaded recovery file.
6.Hit start and the flashing will be done in a few seconds and the device reboots.
7.Hold VOLUME UP+POWER+HOME buttons to boot into recovery.
Enjoy!!
Download(3.1.2)J510FN/F/MN/GN
NOTE : For some reasons twrp gets replaced back with the stock recovery if we left the device to reboot into system after flashing. To overcome this issue untick the Auto Reboot from the options in Odin and flash the recovery by following the above steps. Now right after flashing is done, power off the device and power it on by holding [ VOLUME UP+HOME+POWER] to enter into the recovery and 'swipe to allow modifications'.
Be careful while backing up and playing around with efs partition, you might loose your IMEI.!!

Hi! I have my device (J510FN) encrypted. Is there any chance for me to install this recovery and then root my phone? If it is, how may I proceed? Justas normal with Odin? My intuition says me that there must be some caveat when using a custom recovery with a crypted phone...

Well, I have tried it and no luck. Odin is unable to flash the recovery. At least you don't brick anything because the phone just blocks the installation. Is there any way to flash the recovery (or at least to root the phone) with the phone being encrypted? Thank you.

Well, I did all this, and now my phone is stuck on the boot screen with "Set Warranty Bit : kernel" in yellow print on the top left corner .

What is TWRP?
Oh come on, you know what it is - don't try to fool me!
In case you're serious, though...
Team Win Recovery Project is a custom recovery for Android devices.
It allows you to back up and restore your data, flash custom ROMs to your device, repair broken file systems, root your device and more.
Read more about TWRP here: https://twrp.me/about/
How to flash and setup it completely?
- First, make sure your phone isn't RMM Locked.
- Download Odin3 v3.13.1, Samsung USB Drivers, latest TWRP's tar for your variant, latest no-verity-opt-encrypt zip and RMM Bypass v3 zip.
- Go to Settings App, Developer Options and enable OEM Unlock (If you don't see Developer Settings, go into About phone>Software info and tap "Build number" 10 times to show Developer Options menu).
- Do a backup of all your important data and files in your phone.
- Shutdown the phone. Once it's off, Power it On in Download Mode (Press and hold Power, Vol + and Vol - buttons together)
- Connect your phone in your PC, open Odin3, go in Option section and untick "Auto-reboot". Once that click the "AP" button and select the TWRP tar you downloaded before, then press the "Start" button.
- Once Odin3 finished to flash the recovery (you should see a "PASS" message), force reboot your phone (Press and hold Power and Vol - buttons together) and once the screen is off, press and hold Power and Vol + buttons together to boot in TWRP.
- Once TWRP is booted you first need to decrypt your /data partition. To do so touch Wipe>Format Data and follow the instructions in screen.
- Once it finished go back at the home screen and touch Reboot>Recovery. TWRP should be able to mount your data partition. Now copy the no-verity-opt-encrypt and RMM Bypass zip you downloaded before and flash them (touch Install and select each zip to flash it)
- You're now able to reboot to your OS without re-encrypting /data partition and without RMM Prenormal lock.

Try to in Odin. Once you press start to flash TWRP. HOLD Volume UP + POWER at the same time while the phone is flashing. Then when it reboots it must jump into TWRP. Cuz what you got is the phone reflashed stock recovery

Yes If N960N is Exynos Variant.
Device is bootlooping now at the splashscreen, Can't access any modes, 3 Button combinations (Recovery nor Download).
Any Ideas mate ?
EDIT:1 - After a series of button combinations, Charger plug/unplugs - Managed to push it into download mode and flashed the stock rom again.
The TWRP TAR doesn't work, and if you have any other suggestions, let me know.

Hey! Think it'll work on a RealMe 6s?
Really happy to see oFox for the realme6
Also, the "only for custom rom" slightly confusing for me.
Can I flash it, tell it to reboot to the recovery via fastboot and then flash a custom rom?
Or is that a nono.
Thanks!
finally this recovery is also available for realme 6. thanks for your hard work ..

can you pleasee send telegram link
i flashed this rom and now I think my phone is bricked what can I go
please help
I got it working, I flash the .img by using SHRP recovery and then I reboot to recovery and I got the orangeFox recovery but when I select "Magisk Manager" I get "Magisk not found" and pressing "OK" I get "file doesn't exist! Please reflash recovery using the installation zip".
There is another thing about these custom ROMS when I boot my system and I press reboot to recovery it doesn't work you get a black screen or it reboots to the system if you press any button, I have to use "ADB reboot recovery" it works sometimes.

Back again....fiddling around with recovery, Magisk and system I got working. Reboot and selecting recovery mode on my system its working now and Magisk seems to work when I download the Magisk-21.4(21400).zip and then flash it thru recovery mode, maybe rebooting to recovery wasn't working because my phone wasn't rooted at that time.
Orangefox recovery doesn't work anymore I getting black screen, "adb devices" command show I am in recovery mode but there is only black screen, tried to flash it again few times using "fastboot flash recovery" , tried flashing using SHRP recovery and Magisk app but I get always black screen everytime, the only recovery working for me now is SHRP.
Hi Best Developers i have a doubt..
Can i install realme 6 custom roms, recoveries on realme 6i is it safe?

If your Realme 6i is the Indian RMX2002 version, then yes, you can. RMX2001, 2002 and 2003 are effectively the same and share their ROMs and recoveries.

Yes. Please read the last updated date which is given right below.
Rmx 2002 Stock RealmeUI Android 10
Works really good.
Smooth UI
Lots of options, like a lot.
Custom recovery splash hell yeah! (Only support .PNG)
One little issue
Going into recovery by choosing reboot to recovery via Android apps like magisk, flashify, etc causes the /vendor to not unmount "failed to unmount vendor, device or resource busy"
Workaround, turn off device "from Android" and press the buttons for recovery, turn off from recovery, then press buttons to go in recovery again works good then.
Also rebooting back into recovery via recovery 2/3 times causes the issue to appear again. Have to turn off from Android system, then buttons....

Can you explain how the settings work in OTA & ROM.
disable DM Verity
disable forced verification
Aggressive stock recovery deactivation
if I understand correctly, does enabling all these make it so orangefox stays as recovery after flashing a stock rom/ stock rom update?
Also would I need to flash a blank vbmeta or will the recovery patch it?
can anyone help me with something?
i was flashing octavi os rom. The rom worked flashed perfectly. But then i accidentally flashed wrong gapps. and got an error. i rebooted back into the pbrp . and now my phone was stuck in boot loop. like the logo of pbrp just keeps flashing but doesnt into the recovery. i flashed the recovery again using fastboot. but still the logo keeps flashing when booting and nothing happens. then i flashed this recovery. and the same thing happens. the orange fox recovery boot logo keeps on flashing and never boots into the recovery. my phone is still in orange state so i dont think its bricked. plz help me out with this
Check the guides on this device, there is a full unbrick guide
