Keep notifications on lockscreen after unlock device - Honor 9 Questions & Answers

We know that EMUI has a feature that annoys many users is the fact when you unlock your device, it clears all the notifications from the lock screen (even those that you keep unread). With Android Nougat, I used to have a workaround for this problem with the Floatify application. Now with Android Oreo, Floatify and other similar apps have stopped working because of writing over other applications. Does anyone know if there is any workaround for the notifications to stay fixed on the lock screen until I dismiss it?
PS: It's a shame for Huawei not yet have an option in the settings that changes this behavior.

Check this out:

It´s from the same developer as Floatify.

Thanks for the sugestion. I tested this app for a few days. Most lockscreen applications do not handle the fingerprint sensor very well. Ava Lockscreen is a bit better than the others. But because it's a third-party application that works with a core and sensitive Android feature, sometimes we have glitches and the things are not perfect. Unfortunately I still feel very sad about this mandatory EMUI role that clears all notifications when you unlock the device. I loved my life when I had OxygenOs.

Yeah, it annoys me too that the fingerprint sensor is slow....

Lock screen not working properly because of notification app installed

I just want to share my recent issue with my Sense lock screen not working properly. To disable the lock screen, you normally would need to swipe up, and the same goes for the dock shortcuts. For some reason, my lock screen suddenly stopped working that way. Just by clicking anywhere on the screen, it will disable the lock screen without having to swipe up. Any Sense lock screen I chose had the same problem. This was really annoying me as my concern about accidental dial or text begins to grow. I tried to disable and uninstall different apps that I have recently installed. Unfortunately, I've been installing plenty of apps and didn't realize that the lock screen got messed up. After so many uninstall or disable of apps, I found out that the NotifierPro app was the culprit. It didn't play nice with the Sense lock screen. I thought if somebody had the same issue, might be good to check if you have NotifierPro installed or any app that will display notification while your phone is locked, that might be causing the problem with your lock screen.
Thanks so much for figuring this out. I've been wondering why my lockscreen stopped working all of a sudden. It was because I had installed light flow.
Any notification app that needs accessibility service turned on will affect the Sense lock screen. I'm really disappointed because there's plenty of notification apps I like to use such as notifier pro and the floating notification that's available here on XDA. I really hope there's a fix for this issue.
Sent from my HTC One
ahhh thank you for figuring this out. I was wondering for awhile what it was and didn't remember that I had recently installed notification history (uninstalled some keyboards and other random apps though). It was fixed for a little bit after a software update, but came back. Makes sense now that it probably wasn't until I received my first notification again that it stopped working...
Uninstalled it and voila...back to normal!

Sony Z5C Notification lockscreen + fingerprint

Hello,
I have a question about an app i'm looking for. At the moment i'm using CM Locker and i like the app very much because of the notifications on the lockscreen. Now CM Locker doesn't support the fingrprint sensor on the Z5C. My question: is there an app similar to the CM Locker with notifications on the lockscreen where fingerprint sensor of the Z5C is supported?
Thanks in advance.
Why wouldn't you want to use the standard android lockscreen? It displays notifications just fine.
Configure your settings like this to get notifications properly on the sony stock lockscreen
For third party apps accessing to fingerprint sensor we need to wait for marshmellow if i remember right

Honor 5x, Lock screen modification// Gyro Emulation

Hello,
What I'm looking to do is modify a theme to make EMUI 4.0 more usable. I am not familiar with the android, so I'm not sure how easy/difficult these tasks are.
Phone is a Honor 5x and what I'm looking to do is:
Move the clock on the lock screen to the center
Add weather to lock screen
Allow persistent notifications for some apps ( Stay on the lock screen until dismissed )
Allow note app to be accessed without logging in - as the camera app is.
Enable pattern unlock with fingerprint
Decrease vibration intensity
Emulate a gyroscope with the accelerator so I can try out some basic VR
I know there is a guide for the last one, but I'm not sure if it works with the new EMUI.

Local notifications not working

Maybe it's because many of applications haven't been adopted for Oreo yet, but I've tested a lot of apps - most of them fail to send local notifications. Maybe it has something to do with Mate 10 specifically. I don't have other Oreo devices unfortunately.
So, the story began from Tick-tick task manager. It works smooth on my Note 4, but I'm unable to make it work properly on Mate 10. I've set "ignore battery optimization" option for it, let it run in background and auto-launch, enabled priority notifications for it, blocked it in recent apps (the lock button), but with no luck - reminders just don't work. Then I tried a number of other task-managing apps (wunderlist, and others). Only one them worked (don't remember which one, really tested a lot). Found an app called "fake notifications" just to test the local notifications, set notification timeout for one minute, blocked the screen - no luck. Notifications only appear, if the apps are not closed after creating the notification.
Push notifications work properly (messengers, etc.). Looks like it has something to do with the local notifications specifically.

Maybe, I sound a little unemotional... so... I need my task manager working!

It looks like all of the problems with notifications not popping/widgets not updating etc are just caused by aggresive optimisation in EMUI 8: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-huaweis-background-task-freezer-t3728298
So for, as I can see, there's no rootless solution.

Huawei disabled that feature from the last couple of updates for all devices citing privacy issues.
Do you know if there is any way of getting around that, is there any third party software that could re-enable expanding notifications on the lock screen - it's one thing I really miss having just upgraded from a Nexus 5X!

Yea i have novalauncher but it doesn't affect lock screen. i think you need lockscreen launcher but I don't want to change. Huawei should give the option in lockscreen settings
If you have face unlock enabled, go to settings - security - face unlock and disable smart lock screen notifications
Honor\huawei has indeed screwed this up. faceunlock or pin or etc is not the problem.
The problem is at lock screen, you can see a notification for whatsapp
If it is just a single message, you're fine. You can read it.
But if it is multiple messages or multi line, you can't, as it only shows amount of messages notifications, and the FIRST line of the message.
You can't expand the notification to read the rest. You end up having to unlock and go into whatsapp to read it.
*Sometimes you just want to read the messages, without ending up showing yourself last online in WhatsApp........
Ifyou have enabled face unlock and swipe to get to the launcher you can press the power button, the phone will recognize your face and then you can pull down the notifications.
Same if you want to skip a song at spotify etc.

Can't. It doesn't work.
Steps.
1. Press power button or lift phone to start face unlock
2. U can see whatsapp notifications on the lock screen, but they are grouped up. Meaning, can't expand to see contents
3. Face unlock recognizes your face. You can now able to slide to unlock
4. Still, the notifications can't be accessed or expanded to read full content

The same issue here. My wife's Honor 10 after customization completely lost lockscreen notifications and camera shortcut too. I spent long time trying to solve this in notification settings but failed- non app like default SMS, WhatsApp or Messenger displays notification on lockscreen. Do you have any advice please?

Hello. Notifications currently aren't working with custom lockscreen themes. Devs from honor said it was for higher security. I hate to say that the only way to see notifications on lockscreen is to change lockscreen theme to default, just lockscreen is enough though, you can keep other things like icons etc in whatever theme you want. I personally hate the clock being at the bottom of screen but there is no other way for notifications to show up properly atm. I also tried custom lockscreen 'launchers' but they're bugged. Hope this helps.
Tested working on Huawei View10, You can enable full message content on lock screen by going to phone settings > security & Privacy > Face Unlock > and disable "smart lock screen notification". These seem to be a bad description on Huawei part because you would think this turns off notifications on lock screen but it only limits the content on lock screen for security purposes. The only time i need to expand my messages on lock screen is when phone is sitting on desk and i don't want to lift the phone to unlock it in order to read my notification. Lock screen notification can be set for apps separately. Hope this helps.
