AxonApp: Useful Shortcuts and Quick Tiles for your Axon 7 - ZTE Axon 7 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hi, I am an independent app developer who happens to own an Axon 7. Recently, I decided to build an app exclusively designed for the Axon 7 (but works on other devices too).
It's called AxonApp. I figured that this would be a great place to mention it!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aviparshan.axonapp
I have included a bunch of shortcuts and quick tiles, that come in handy, within the app.
For example, if you want to open the System UI Tuner, we have a Quick Tile and shortcut for that!
Please leave us your feedback for improvements to the app and any feature requests!

Why has it "software optmization" in its name on play store? Right now its only shortcuts. Then again im using the A2017G model, so it could be that not everything is visible.
Anyway, what exactly is meant by software optimization?

Lollipop&emui 3.1. Anyway to get notifications on lockscreen like stock lollipop?

I just updated my ham2 and use a pattern unlock. Ive used lollipop on nexus devices and I could see all my notifications and slide them to then pattern unlock. Are there any emui themes in particular I can get or anyway to make the lockscreen more stock android-ish so it shows my notifications?

I'm not sure, but I believe the lockscreen on the update is completely custom, and isn't the same as stock Android.
Try this, was featured on the XDA homepage a while back. Alternatively, this.
Try freezing the lockscreen application on your device and reboot. See if that does the trick. I have attached two images showing the HTC lockscreen on my device and then freezing the application to show the standard Android lockscreen. Would be a system application.
Search for emui 3.0 themes,im using one called lollimotion ui,its made for the p7 but it works fine on any phone with emui heres a screenshot
Cm locker, from play store. Works great, has notifications and is very customizable.
Try Floatify, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jamworks.floatify

Which phone are you using lollimotion on? I tried to on my MT2-L05 and it's not working.
On a Honor 4x with Lollipop you can achieve notifications on the lock screen by following these steps:
(please keep in mind: I translated these options from the german ROM I'm using. Maybe some options have different namings in English ROMs)
1. use the "Default (magazine)" or any other pre-shipped EMUI design on the Honor 4x. As an Alternative, use any design and select the "Default (magazine)" lockscreen under the "customize" option.
2. use the "Notification Manager" in "Settings". Choose the apps you want to notify you. Choose the methods you like (status bar, banner, lock screen).
3. open "Lockscreen & Passwords" in "Settings". Make sure "Display notifications" for lockscreen is activated.
If you did these points, the next new arriving notification will display on your lock screen. Already visible notifications on your status bar will no re-arrive on your lock screen.
Test it simply with an incoming mail or message.
Untested: I don't know if only the "Default (magazine)" lockscreen OR any pre-shipped EMUI design lockscreen OR simply every EMUI 3.1 compatible lockscreen can display notifications.

No Daydream to Clock?

Is there really no Daydream to Clock option? This has always been a needed feature for me when I plug in my phone at night I use it as my alarm clock.
I know I can install clock apps that kind of do this but you have to fumble around and relaunch the clock app. Such a huge disappointment this simple feature is missing. Might return phone.

I don't know with the KIW-24 version, but I have it on my stock KIW-21.
If you tap once on the clock widget you have different options such as Alarm clock, chronometer, timer, etc...

Well this is all a moot point because I've dumped EMUI and am using crpalmer's brilliant CM13 ROM for this phone, which has the daydream feature stock like Google made it.
But I was talking about setting Daydreaming to the clock app. Not using the clock widget. If you set your phone to Daydream and go to Daydream settings, the only option is pictures. You should be able to Daydream to the clock app.
Anyways, thanks for your responses but I'm off EMUI now.

How-To Enable Two-Button Navigation on the OnePlus 8 Pro

I love that OnePlus gives us the option to use either gesture or three-button navigation. But I wish we had two-button navigation too! It's the best of both worlds! The good news is that it's super easy to enable Two Button Navigation with a super quick and easy ADB command. You will need USB Debugging enabled on your phone and ADB installed on your computer.
ADB Command: adb shell cmd overlay enable com.android.internal.systemui.navbar.twobutton
Check out the video here to see it in action.
If you are on Android 11, the first method will not work. Please watch this video for instructions on how to get Two Button Navigation working on Android 11 (root required):
Would you happen to know how to get the original OnePlus gestures back to? Just figured I'd ask. Thanks.

they were the OnePlus gestures found on the OnePlus 6t that's what I came from and the back was a swipe up from the bottom corner of the left or the right side and then swipe up home was straight up from the center and then recents was swipe up and hold and then you can also jump to your last app that you opened by swiping up and to the right.

So it took me a few minutes to refresh my memory but I figured out what you're looking for! Good news is that I have the answer, bad news is that it's not what you're looking for.
When Google rolled out Android 10 they basically gave OEM's requirements on how the navigation bar had to work. The old implementation you're looking for is OnePlus's take on gesture navigation and Google basically says don't do it. So when they rolled out the OnePlus 7, they got rid of that option.
There might still be a way to enable it, but I haven't found anything yet. If I do, I'll be sure to let you know!
Here's a really good write up that explains the change. https://www.xda-developers.com/google-gesture-navigation-android-10/

Yes should be nice...
On 6T Android10 , we have both options to choose, google implementation and this one from OnePlus, for gesture navigation..
I believe this app will provide you all the gestures you need, posted elsewhere on these forums.

FWIW, Google doesn't force OEMs to get rid of their own gesture implementation - they just have to hide it behind one extra Settings layer. For example, on the OPPO Find X2 Pro running ColorOS 7.1, you can still enable the swipe-up gestures (the same one from older versions of OxygenOS) as well as Google's full-screen gestures.

I wish it was a bug! Unfortunately, it's 100% by design. With Android 10, Google basically retired any navigation options that weren't their gesture or three-button options. Manufacturers can still include their own options but they have to do it in a submenu and can't use the Google framework files for it. They basically have to repack a bunch of files to get their stuff in the right spot on the menus, to get the overlay to work correctly, and then they have to still push the Google options as the default. It's just not cost-effective for OnePlus (or any manufacturer other than maybe Samsung) to use another option now. This method worked because OnePlus already had the work done on the framework, they just didn't update the menu to show their navigation options. With Android 11, there was enough of a rebase going on that they didn't go through the effort of adding it back in. But hey, this is XDA. I'm sure we'll see some mods in the future that will bring it back though!

[EMUI 10] New features brought by the Android 10 Update

Hi guys!
Because the update to EMUI 10 for our phones started to roll out also in the Europe, I suggest leaving the thread for the update status free of talks about new features that came with the update.
^update starts earlier if you check from Support app or Hicare app and not the USUAL ~stupid management Huawei~ system update from the setting menu.
So lets start then!
- Desktop mode
- Kind of no more HDR but still HDR ‽
....
Morandi color system
What about Morandi color system? On Honor devices doesnt provide? :crying:
Another cool new feature is that the app switcher cannot be changed to old one and the new one is slow and awful. Double tapping switcher button to go to previous app rarely works, it's more reliable to do two separate taps. But sometimes the switcher lags so much it doesn't even switch to previous app but back to current one.

Pixel Mods - Hide Apps from the Pixel Launcher! [XPOSED]

[XPOSED] PIXEL MODS
Pixel Mods is a new module that let you to finally tidy up your messy launcher with style! Long click on the home screen to access its main interface and you will be able to hide the apps you want to (3 apps can be hidden for free, then paying a small amount gives you access to everything).
It also has this functions:
- Enable debug flags in the launcher
All changes happens instantaneously, you won't even notice them!
You need to make a small in-app purchase to unlock all the functions.
FAQ:
Which Pixel Launcher versions are supported?
You can check in the changelog or directly by opening the main app interface. I won't post the list here because it would surely goes out of sync
What is Xposed, EdXposed and LSPosed? Which one should I use?
I strongly suggest to use LSPosed if you can. It is very well made and directly tested by me, if you have an old device you can use the original XPosed. EdXposed works too.
I beg you to accept my translation!
Sorry but I don't accept community translations anymore!
Available languages:
English
Italian
Screenshots:
You can find them on the store!
Known bugs:
Starting a search in some versions of the launcher brings up the app even if they are hidden. This happens because the search is managed by the Google app itself, I have yet to see if it is even humanly possible to prevent this.
Notes:
The app is also available on the old XPosed repo and the new LSPosed one.
Rootless pixel launcher is NOT supported, and never will be.
I want this feature and also that one! Sure please tell me about it. Anyway I won't give you any ETAs nor I am sure that what you ask will even be possible. I'm already digging to find some way to support icon packs but don't know if I will be able to.

Strange it is my device too! Moreover if it fails to add the menu should show you a notification to continue anyway
Troubleshooting:
- module enabled in lsposed? Pixel launcher selected as a target? Device rebooted?
- nothing works? Please disable all other modules, reboot and then see if it works. If not send me the Xposed logcat. I may also need the full logcat of the device (you can use logcat extreme from play store). PM me for these
Thank you

Hey man
Sorry for being a little impatient.
Somehow it worked the next day when I rebooted again.
Great work, Thank you so much.
Your mod helped me complete my pixel launcher customization.
Would like to see more features added in the future, like the ones in the 'pixel launcher mods' app for resizing widgets and changing icons. 'Pixel launcher mod' app is very buggy.
Thanks again!

Thank you don't worry. I will consider that too (i will look into that app I didn't know it exists) I'm currently working on a way to support custom icon packs, actually I don't know if I will be able to add support for these but let's cross the fingers!
Thank you
Excellent, it works as intended; no flaws. Some features I would like to see: hide icon labels on the home screen -normally, labels are hidden only in the bottom row-. More grid options for the home screen. And folders to have a solid icon instead of a preview of the icons inside of them. Thanks man and keep up the good work

Thank you very much for that little but very helpful module. That is exactly what I was looking for my OnePlus 7 Pro with pixel experience Rom. I was disappointed that the pixel launcher doesn't offer such a functionality right out of the box. But one thing I noticed: Some apps (installed from the Playstore) aren't listed and therefore can't be hidden. In my case it is Call Recorder Unlock from Skvalex. It features an option to hide it's icon by itself but doesn't work in the pixel launcher. Pixel Mods doesn't show me the app (the Call Recorder itself can be selected, but not the license unlocker) in the list to hide.
I am using Pixel Launcher 825 (11) on OnePlus 7 Pro running Pixel Experience Plus 11.0-20210717-1555-0FFICIAL

Now comes to my mind what the problem is. See on Android 10+ it is not possible for apps to hide their icon from the drawer, so if you try to hide it with the call recorder itself it will effectively go away from pmods but not from the launcher. I will take a look at how I can workaround this problem, for now I suggest you too uninstall and reinstall the app and then DON'T use it's option to hide it but directly use pmods

It sounds like you have the same problem I had earlier with the license app. Does this app has a function to hide itself? Because if it can hide it's icon it will hide itself from pixel mods. See the devs answer:

Yeah it sound like this is the same exact problem, but this time the app probably hide itself by default thus making impossible to hide it with pmods. I still have to find a way to reliably fix this but I have some ideas. I hope being able to release an update this or the coming week
