First time installing crDroid to your Le Max 2 , or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk 16.0
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

Wow it's so great to see a new dev and a new ROM.. I ask two things.. Is there quick charge on/off switcher on your ROM and how's the battery life (SoT and Standby)?

Pls don't do this in EVERY topic... PLS, I would give you money just dont ask this in every lemax2 rom topic. All the Lineage based roms have the exact same battery management and all the AOSP based have the same.
Btw. Will flash rom tomorrow and report back if there's any bug left in the system. Loved the crDroids in the past on other devices.

Nice Nice Rom.
Smooth, quick and a ton of stuff to customize.
Did not find any little fault.
Great Job!

That's why devs use different tweaks and kernels? Well I'd not say no for a new phone..

Le eco remote non funziona... E possibile risolvere? Per il resto tutto ok

Testing Rom CrDroid

where to see the changes in the new build?

On testing...
For now this is the best Oreo ROM who I have tried...... Very very smooth, no lags, a lot of option....... The best for me, absolutely!!!
My compliment to dev, this ROM is awesome.
Only one thing, advanced reboot doesn't work for me, not change if it's set or not.....not recovery reboot option.....

Does the rom have one hand mode? Does Miracast work with television or chromecast?
One more question: which gapps is preferred? (Stock works?)

Miracast must work , I can't check that.
For gapps , u must use pico , nano , micro (stock is not recommended)

@Abhishek4587kumar Could you implement TTL fixation in kernel?

One question, sorry for banality....
When update the ROM, gapps is needed to reinstalling?

After reboots merge LiveDisplay settings

Some minor bugs
1. Display charging info at lock screen: info is a bit inaccurate. {In AEX rom (aosp extended) after 5.3 update the info is very good and accurate}.
2. 3.5mm and USB C adapter only works one way.
Finally im asking for better sound and mic reception (Cleaner and a bit louder) that is all.

Hello. Great Rome, I like it very much. But I have a wish: is it possible to activate the Hall sensor for the pocket detection? Unfortunately it does not work.

Sorry for bothering u , I should have taken a SS with the included kernel. I know u work hard to develop a ROM , I'm a not a guy who nags the developers by posting some unusual stuffs. Relax and do the good work. Cheers

crdroid 7.1.2 is my daily driver. amazing rom.
I've installed many 8.1 roms but most builds after 15th january don't work, they always show no sim card installed. In the latest crdroid rom, the phone says only emergency calls. Bad luck?
@coldhans hey I really hope I don't come off as demanding or rude by asking this but I'm curious. Will this room ever pass safety net out of the box? This room is really good. Thanks for maintaining it for us!

No worries! Don't confuse my lack of emojis for irritation in these threads, I just try to keep my answers short and to the point.
crDroid comes with inbuilt root, which as far as I know can't pass SafetyNet. If you still don't pass SafetyNet after flashing the latest Magisk and/or the Universal SafetyNet fix, I can bring it up with the developers.

Guide for the best battery life:
1. Install Greenify and enable it for all apps (this is the best option, but if you want notifications to come up without delay just don't apply it to app)
2. Open Developer options and disable logging
3. Install forcedoze app and configure it
4. Try not to use the highest brightness settings ;p
5. Youtube loves battery juice so better don't watch it frequently
6. Enjoy best battery life
Guide for the best performance:
1. Install Blackscreen kernel
2. Change governor to wheatley (OFC you can use other governors, for me Interactive gets the job done)
3. Open Developer options and disable logging
4. Make throttling temperature higher so that CPU won't drop mhz
5. Enjoy the best performance
If you want to report bug better bring logcat with you
When there is no OTA just don't scream I have private life too Ota can be canceled becouse of various reasons
But normally OTA will be at Saturdays

This is a superb rom. When I was running crDroid everything was smooth and worked fine for my sanders phone. I just personally put on battery saver a lot which causes the android OS to use red bars in the Nav bar and Status Bar.
For me, I just like the option to turn that Red color off when using Battery Saver, otherwise this ROM in my experiance is top 3 best roms for sanders moto 5s plus phones, its great.

Please share your review of performance and battery life ?
Is there any bug ?
Does Bluetooth and Video Recording work well?
Battery life is great yesterday I got 4hrs on screen time, I haven't had any bugs so far haven't tested Bluetooth but video recording works just fine
Just tested out the Bluetooth, listening to music sounds great. Bluetooth calls on the other hand is a no go.
good rom
on the last CrDroid, I do not pass the safetynet check, what can I do? Or at me one so?
When I first started using crDroid on 7.1.2 I chose it because all of the Oreo ROMs besides First Ever ROM required modification to the partitions through *nix in order to install because there was no space for GApps.
Is it possible to flash this on the Nexus 5 without those modifications?

How? changed the battery multiple times...
the most I get is 1:30 (SOT) with all the tweaks but it's been on about 24 hours....
Can one of you tell me if this will install on the Nexus 5 without having to change the partitions? All the other Oreo ROMs were too large to be able to flash GApps.
Yeah this doesn't work on the Nexus 5. The system partition is too small to flash the GApps (yes, including the smallest one). You have to increase the partition through ADB to flash the GApps + ROM.
I thought these were tested on the actual device before released. Do you have the ability to emulate these other phones and just port the ROM over without a real-world test or something?
Anyways I successfully flashed ROM and GApps after all this. I tried booting to system and it was stuck on first boot for about 10-12 minutes. I wiped everything and flashed all over again.. It's been sitting here on the boot animation for the past 20 minutes. I have to give up on this and see if anyone who works on this ROM could assist in figuring out the issue.
Tried again, 35 minute boot. No luck.
Thanks for your works. However, I found two bugs need improve. Firstly, battery capacity cannot show inside battery icon in crDroid. Secondly, Cannot view storage, always loading, loading and loading. Anyway, How can I set Apps which I donn't want them run in background. good job and thanks again.
They don't seem to be active in any way. No replies here and won't accept Google+ group requests. I think the project may be dead.
What are you talking about?
Crdroid is well alive and in good shape
Just look at the build dates, they upload a new build literally everyday, just not for nexus 5

My absolute favorite ROM on so many of my past devices. Axon 7 was the last one before this phone. Thank you so much for bringing this to the X3. ?
Every time I think I get settled on a rom another exciting one is released. Thanks for sharing!
I will follow this thread and decide if it is worth going through the switch and set up process yet again lol

For anyone curious here's my quick look over the ROM.
I had surya on latest global 12.0.3. I've used the OpenGapps nano.
The installation went quick and smooth. I haven't restored my google account so everything was fresh. During the setup screen was tearing sometimes.
Fingerprint works very well and unlocks are quick. Haptic feedback is ok. Double tap to wake works ok. There is 17.5GB used after the first boot. Selinux is disabled. There are some quick settings tiles to choose from.
In battery settings there are thermal profiles. Neat!

And a Gcam one:

Power menu customization missing. "Dirac sound enhancer" present in Sound system settings menu doesn't open. No call recording ootb.
Check out the rest on a few more screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/5c9fkNP
Overall feels very solid.
Oh, Google Maps keep crashing: https://i.imgur.com/3zSxSIg.png

It's crDroid Home (com.android.launcher3). Doesn't look like based on Lawnchair.
For some user facing error like when flash gapps ,magisk or etc ..you can try to disable mount vendor before flashing in twrp

@agustk404 Headphone not working when plugged in ,sound coming from speaker even when jack is inserted
