Hello
No, I do not think it works.
because we have to make these two files for our RNE-Lxx RECOVERY_NoCheck.img and RECOVERY2_NoCheck.img.

These files can be installed by HWOTA method
if someone is familiar with HWOTA method. Full OTA firmwares are best flashed via HWOTA method and by the names of these files it looks like the full ota firmware. hwota software for mate 10 lite has just been created and shared on this mate 10 lite roms and kernels thread and one user has confirmed that its working. u can use it to rebrand or unbrick mate 10 lite devices.
P. S.
some users reported this method working for 7.0 but not for oreo update. be careful.

I dont now, it worket om my honor.

Hello
I was the one who uploaded the three files two weeks ago in a post which I had to delete because I could not take care of it because of illness ... The HWOTA method to install the OREO Beta packages if they work both for Nougat and to update to Oreo . I have done it on several occasions to find a fault that they say exists but I do not find any.
Just rename the packages
»update.zip
»Update_full_hw_spcseas.zip (rename to update_all_hw.zip after downloading)
»Update_data_full_public.zip (rename to update_data_public.zip after downloading)
In this way they are saved in the update folder of the HWOTA tool, which should be located on Disk C, since in another place I do not let the tool operate.
The HWOTA tool alone will tell you how to proceed and there should be no failure ... This Beta is only for the Middle East version so if you do not have it you will have to rebrand your device so that it is installed ... at the time of running the tools before installing the packages it will ask you two options 1. to install from the SD if you were to use it.
2. To use the cmd script ... this is the option that I use and for which the three packages have to be saved in the UPDATE folder of the HWOTA folder: ..
If you execute everything correctly, the computer will reboot itself and install the update .... Once installed you should enter fastboot mode and relock it. having at hand the respective bootloader code to your device.

The benefits of debrand , you can use new firmware from other variant, Maybe you can solve problem about your phone such as mate 8 can't go back to EMUI 4.0 after upgrade to EMUI4.1 I have to debrand to C432 then dload EMUI 4.0 of my stock firmware , for any people who use AL10 from china that have many bloatware or chinese apps you can debrand to EU.
By doing this, can I install international firmware on my Chinese variant?

Hi. Can the same thing be done in a P9 lite?
I will be interested to know if anyone has successfully debranded a Vodafone P9 Plus from the UK using this method?
Solved
any one test on L29, I want to debrand from C185 to C636
When open VERLIST.img had this code:
Code:
VIE_C900B000
EVA_Global
VIE_Global_B025
Edit:
I used VIE_C900B000 and debrand to C636 and upgrade framework to VIE-L29C636B130 from another thread yours
Thanks bro :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
My phone came with C636, any benefits of me debranding it ?

HI,
Could you please write a step by step guide?
I would really appreciate it! I feel lost in the red forest...
My phone failed to update to c02b128 but it changed the version info without installing the new apps.. so now I need to debrand and install the latest fw manually..
Thank you in advance!
Best Regards!
I downloaded the B161 for 432 from the stock firmwares thread and then created the dload folder on the ext sd card and put the 2 files from the update zip into the dload folder. Then followed the video guide in the debranding thread. Just make sure yr phone is rooted (the tool can do that for you, it's very easy to follow the options). Once rooted you choose option 7 (utility) and then change the oeminfo & custombin (option 9) Then after rebooting choose option 7 again and choose option 10. Download Huawei extractor 0.9.9.3 (google it) and use it as shown in video, once finished with changing the ro.build.display then change recovery to stock (use the tool as per video) and then unroot from within supersu app (choose full unroot option in settings). Then use the project menu (it's in the video) to flash the update file. Once rebooted activate dev options and debugging and flash twrp recovery and root of you want and all done. Hope this helps a bit

Success downgrade from oreo to nougat

so...my p10 L29 was messed up after updating to oreo. i upgrade without rebranding, after that, my version shows bla bla bla(dont remember). after searching a lot on website (almost all of them), figure out that B217 firmware is the selution.
actually B217 firmware from ff finder has just 2 files, not 3. so using HWOT8 and change the update binary(with notepad++) you need go to META-INF>com>google>android>update-binary, open update-binary with notepad and delete the line with "echo - - update_package...... update_data public. zip.
after that copy the files to hwota8 > update file and make same process like you do to update.
after that, i rebrand my l29 to c432 and now all works fine:victory:

Bootloader unlocked, how to update to Android 9?

I unlocked my bootloader, but I can't seem to find a guide on updating to Android 9. My current firmware has xloader 02.
When I bought it a year ago, you could update it without issues with hwota, but from what I see, that is now disabled. Is there a current program or guide that simplifies changing the firmware to an updated one?

If you don't yet have root, you can use the EMUI9 beta update tool.

You could rebrand before flashing Pie. Don't rebrand while going to Pie, it's usually a bad idea.

If you downgrade using rollback they will wipe though (and only use rollback from January or later if you ever need to downgrade)

Software Install Failed Using Dload Method - ANE-LX1

I have ANE-LX1, i wanted to install android 9.0 beta for ANE-LX1 i got the firmware from Huawei Firmware Finder, installed it using dload, and boom software install failed i use System 8.0.0.046 (0CFV) (i tried to unlock bootloader and had to downgrade but failed sucks that you have to pay to unlock a bootloader) i tried to install newer android 8.0 but still software failed any fixes?
Dload does not work with updates from Firmware Finder. Those updates are not signed by Huawei so they don't work.
You have to download the update from here: https://androidhost.ru/search.html

HELP TO UPDATE MY MATE 20 PRO (c212)

Hi, i have a mate 20 pro model c212 (at&t mexico), i want to install a new firmware for example c62 or c432, i can? or not? Pleas help me!
You could update main base easily, but that could screw the futur C212 stock OTA Updates if the new base version number you re flashing is not or won t be an official C212 base version number.
What is the matter with your LYA C212 ?
-still on emui9.0 and you want emui9.1 ?
-security patches date too old on latest C212 ?

You could use a service firmware to change cust, preload and base to a different region. I did this back and forth from C432 to C636 when I saw fit using the dload method.

dload will just skip the out-of-region cust and preload files ; only base will be applyed.

Hm, when I used FH a while back it switched me to C636 - and every OTA I received was C636 - I couldn't return to C432 via any method until I tried dload and it worked for me. It may be because my device is natively C432.
I still don t understand how these previous FH updates managed to softrebrand just fine kirin980 devices.
Your build number once rebranded, in about phones, was then C636ExRyPz or you were missing the RyPz part?

There will be guides around on our device forum. But basically requirements:
USB Stick (formatted exFAT)
USB OTG
You will need to download the service firmware, for this I used androidhost ru and firmware 9.1.0.300 C432.
You will have 3 zip files inside the firmware, you must create a folder on the USB stick called 'dload' and inside this folder you put the three zip files (named like update_sd_base.zip etc). Plug USB stick into device with OTG adapter and then open dialer and type *#*#2846579#*#* and choose software upgrade then memory card upgrade. Should restart and upgrade device to your new firmware (don't unplug USB during this process and make sure you have above 30% battery)

Well if he was speaking about that then there's no guidance I can provide him. It's a paid service and doesn't really require a 'guide' as it's simple. He can check out their website, but regardless - if he wishes to try the dload method then there's there guide.

Will the guide you provided work for me as well?
