If I have Rooted 5.1.1 can I go to 6 via LGUP without loosing all my data or is it a total wipe situation?
I am ready to give up root, but to lazy to resetup my phone

Just like most ota upgrades. I'm sure you won't lose anything other than root. Although I'm not completely sure if 6.0 will even install unless you go back to an unrooted phone. All you can do is try.
Kickin' it on my VS990
You can do the upgrade in LGUP and not lose your data. However when I did it, it seemed most of my apps did not work and I ended up doing a reset... Also, many apps did not work after the LG restore from backup and I had to uninstall/reinstall them... So, I'd recommend doing a reset from tbe beginning...

Hi Guys, I just got my phone back from LG (bootloop). When it came back to me it had VS99029A installed with B15.LGE.VS990.0 configuration. I am wondering if it is possible to root it still or am I screwed now? I really don't want too brick it attempting to root it.

Just got mine back too, also 29A-- no way to downgrade, I assume, and no plans to work on a root for it?
Or if not root, at least twrp/something so I can flash apps rather than having to install them one-by-one?
Hi, ive had marshmellow on my rooted Oppo F1s for about a month now and find it to be a lot crappier than what lollipop was, the features and all that, a lot of customization apps just dont work at all and everything reverts back to default after a couple hours use, the list goes on, basically im just really unhappy with it.
So my question is, how can I downgrade back to lollipop, while still keeping my root privileges? Im currently downloading the latest stock lollipop firmware, and I still have the files on my sd card when i first rooted-

will it work or do i need to take other steps? do i even need to re-do everything again, could i boot into recovery mode and just install the firmware from there, will that work? i know all my data will probably be lost again and thats fine, im just confused as to how i can downgrade the easiest way.

I tried in lgup using the "upgrade option but i get a wrong SPC error.
I should be able to use refurbish, but i don't want to loose my data.
I would also like to root (I already have unlocked bootloader) without loosing data
any ideas?

I definitely want to root, etc...But don't want to lose ability to go back to FULL stock... Would @ChazzMatt or anyone else be able to create a kdz or zip to restore back to non-TWRP, relocked AT&T stock.
Will this help to get back to full H931 status?
