Finding custom rom for porting - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, mates,
I decided that I am not happy about my device stock rom, so i decided to make a custom rom port for my device....
Well i read a lot easy guides and watched loads of videos about easy porting, BUT looks like there is nothing easy with my device.
My device is Huawei Y7 it is upgradeable only to 7.0 Nougat. It wouldnt be a problem to find such custom rom but again my device has Snapdragon 435 processor... There is very little devices with such processor and most of them already has 7.1.2 nougat and all custom roms are this version or even 8.0 Oreo.
First question would be: Is there something i could do about that ?

Huawei Mediapad T1 8.0 custom rom

Hey guys!
I've just got my Huawei Mediapad T1 8.0 8gb only wifi tablet and I was sorry to see that the newest official Android is 4.3, so I would like to install some custom ROM
I'm thinking about 5.1 but the newer the better. So far I found one or two.pages on google but they didn't look trustworthy, they had screenshots of phones, the articles referred to the device as phone, and I would.like to.avoid an scam or damage to my tablet. My question is do you think that there's some great newer android for my device?
Thanks for any help!

How To Port MM Rom For LP Running Device?

I May Be Spamming But I've Gone Through Many Threads But I Can't Find A Post Where You Can Port A Marshmallow Rom To A Device Running Lollipop.. If I'm Wrong Someone direct Me To A Proper Guide..
My Total Problem Is I Have A "Lenovo Phab Pb1-750m" (Not Plus) which Lenovo Would Have Even Forgot it Released :crying:
Device Runs with Lollipop Rom (Don't Know What The Stock Rom Type is) On A ArmV7 Snapdragon 410 msm8916
I've Thought Of Porting Roms From Different Devices Running Marshmallow With The Same Specs As Mine Like Lenovo A6000 and Yu Yuphoria... But Couldn't Find A Definitive Guide To Port Marshmallow Roms To Lollipop Devices (I May B Wrong)..
I'm Not A Dev Or Not Even Someone Who Knows Coding..
If Someone Is Upto The Task Of Porting A Rom For My Device, I'll Be More Than Happy To Help..

Building a Custom ROM based on newer Android version?

Hi everyone,
I'm considering building a new Custom ROM for my Teclast X98 Plus tablet to get new features and security updates.
However I've never done that before, but as there are other Custom ROMs I think it must be possible somehow
The Android version of the original firmware is 5.1, also Mireks ROM for the tablet is based on that and also the available Remix OS 2.0 I guess.
My question is: Do you think it is possible to build a mostly working ROM based on a newer version like Marshmallow, Nougat or even Oreo?
And is it possible to extract the proprietary blobs and drivers from an existing ROM and get them working on the newer Android?
I've seen that on other devices, but I don't know where they got the blobs and other stuff needed.
Any input would be appreciated

Android 11 R on samsung galaxy a10

Lately i have noticed some youtube tutorials of how to install android 11 R (which is currently in developer mode). And seems as if many devices especially ARM64 devices are being used including J7, A3, and other A series phones.
They are using gsi roms from either google android developer webpage or Erfan's GSI roms for their tutorials
The features are pretty much the same with android 10 because not much work has said yo be not done yet.
Was just wondering if it was possible to try it on our A10.
Im not sure if there are galaxy A10 phones with ARM64, but many i saw have A64 with A/B partitions which means they use A64AB gsi roms.
Is there anyone who tried it yet? Or is it even possible or we will have to wait for other stable versions to come.
Thank you
