I am in italy and tried with sim Vodafone, Tim and H3G can't find any cellular networks.
I have updated the phone via wifi and the phone seems to work properly, the SIM is recognized because it asked me for the Secure code at startup,
the correct model is ASUS_Z01KD, Maybe is a frequency incompatibility.

Hi, I live in Denmark and have bought HTC Hero T-Mobile from UK. It is unlocked, but after entering a PIN, phone is unable to connect to a network. It finds 4 available networks in the area, but none of them works. I tried 4 sim cards from different operators, but problem remains.
Update of ROM and Radio has not helped.

I have an unlocked AU vodafone SGS2 and am using my TPG $1 plan simcard.
I have found when using TPG sim I can only obtain download speeds of 10KB/s however on Voda sim I can get in excess of 300KB/s. I get 3G signal on TPG sim, I can still make and receive calls - just data is the issue.
AFAIK, I am using correct respective APN settings. My question is - is there some sort of hardware difference in the SGS2 which is making my TPG/Optus sim data extremely slow/limited?

I am currently using Samsung Galaxy S2 SGH-I777. This is been unlocked with the code provided by AT&T. After unlock I am able to use the phone with my Vodafone IN sim with the 3G connection. Recently around 3 weeks back, I have upgraded the mobile from 4.0.3 to 4.1.2 via kies. Currently it is in I777UCMD8 band and Kernel version as 3.0.31-1154545-user [email protected] #3.
Since firmware upgrade, I am unable to use the phone with 3G.
The mobile network connection is not consistent, and unable to make or receive any calls.
I did some search in the forums and came across the code *#2263#. using this I selected the band as GSM only and i am able to have continuously, and able to receive and make the calls.
I tried out inserting another vodafone 3g sim and able to use the 3g and continuous signal on my mobile, where it is not working with my sim.
I tried out my sim in another 3g phone and was able to have access the 3g and continuous signal.
I have replaced my sim couple of times, and even that didn't worked for me.
Any help on this is much appreciated.

I have an Alcatel One Touch Fierce, originally T-Mobile, currently unlocked, stock ROM (4.2.2) rooted. It had no connection issues in the US or in Germany, but anywhere in Israel after boot it connects to the mobile network for only a fraction of a second, just long enough to receive a bunch of brand new notifications, and then it immediately drops the network and can't find it again. It does this both on an american T-Mobile sim while roaming, and with a local Israeli sim.
If anyone has a generic fix that worked on any handset that I could try, or anything, I'm kinda desperate here.

I have alway had my personal pones used in Mexico and bought in USA (ebay) I have neve had any issue as far as the phones are GSM unlocked, my last phone was the LG G7, new open box from eBay, I use the phone in Mexico without any problem as well as I use it here in Houston, 4G data, calls, SMS etc..
I arrive 3 days ago to spend time with family and I got a preowned Verizon LG V60 GSM unlocked, as soon as I put my SIM card from ATT Mexico it says Service Disabled and the Network Options are greyed with no option to change anything, I already Crossflash to the US Cellular ROM and still have the same problem, I know the phone is unlocked cause I put a SIM from Telcel and it get signal and Roaming and also detect the networks, my question is, have something changed with the service providers here that blocks the SIM from other countryes?
The only think that I notice is that I have a cheap Samsung A13 from my work In mexico, bought in Mexico and If i put the SIM card there I notice a icon of VoLTE in the signal bar, is that the LG V60 does not support VoLTE?

VOLTE is usually softwarw specific and sim card specific. a tmobile v60 will get you volte on tmobile yes but other operators on tmobile network mabey not. Basically buy the right V60 to go with your sim card and if you carrier operates on tmobile network then get tmobile v60 etc and so forth.
