Good evening.
I would like to confirm the correct operation of this ROM on my Vibe K5+ A6020a46
Only problem: Cannot find right driver for ADB interface on my win7 32bits, despite USB debugging options ON, OEM enabled and fastboot enabled.

Hi, I've seen both this message and your private messages
I don't understand what your problem is : your phone is not recognized by your PC or you don't know how to switch on USB debugging ?

Hi. No, this is'nt an access problem.
My windows don't recognize the interface ADB in normal mode (direct connection)
It's not so bad. It's just to use, possibly, adb functions. However I arrived there using a terminal, but only in recovery mode (under TWRP). Is this normal?
Otherwise, I am extremely satisfied. I even think I'm going to adopt MIUI. :fingers-crossed:
See image !
PS: I'm waiting for the next version :good:

Me too but I'm depending on updates for the Xiaomi Redmi 3
But updates are mainly about changes on MIUI itself, it's a shame that security patches are not integrated along...

Hello !
1 / Of course I tested all versions of the drivers. Not everyone has recognized the ADB interface.
This is confirmed on the left screen of my previous posted image.
2 / Windows updates are complete.
3 / The problem certainly comes from my smartphone. I had it already routed, unbricked and with a Lineage 14 custom rom.
However, with actual ROM and despite the OEM enabled option, the "fastboot OEM unlock" command returns "... OEM not allowed".
4/ This remains secondary and doesn't affect the ROM. I'm just trying to understand why.
I have access to adb commands in another way.
Thank you for your help anyway.

Did you see this theme (for the drivers and not only)?

I've read several posts about OEM unlock, but I never had to do it, and I regularly go back and forth between stock ROM with qfil and custom ones...
For your drivers problems, I cannot help you I'm on W10 and I never had drivers problems...

Hi @adinechin are there any bugs in the ROM? Is it rooted? Is it VoLTE enabled? And what's battery life?
I know that's lot of questions but i hope you answer it. Thanks.
Also tell if i can flash it via twrp 3.2.1.
Thanks again.

Hi, I'll try to answer :
- bugs, I don't think so, appart from the contrast that goes back to an automatic setting after a reboot, and sometimes the phone runs slow and you have to kill some apps
- it is not rooted
- for VoLTE I don't know, I never used it
- for battery I'd say it's decent : I can last around 1,5 days with a standard use (but it's my use)

Thanks bro

I have been testing this ROM since morning and it is awesome. There are no flaws in the ROM. Battery is also great.
VoLTE is also working great. It's not rooted, i rooted it with Magisk but it doesn't pass safetynet.
The only problem is the 0% screen brightness issue. The screen goes off blank completely.
Hey @adinechin if you could fix it. It is a great rom.

Yes, but stock rom in flashtool format is very useful for restore device after modding or in case of it doesn't work/boot.
With stock rom, you can also try to port rom, unpack and repack system, deodex, make a custom recovery...
So in my opinion Stock rom is vital for any user experienced owner.. [emoji106] [emoji6]

[ROM][PORT][5.1.1] MIUI 9 Global (v8.4.19-dev) port for Vibe K5+ (a6020a46)

Hi all,
Here is my first ported ROM, tested on my device, I cannot say for other devices : MIUI 9 Global
What's working :
wifi
bluetooth
camera (photo and video)
recording photos and videos on SD card and multiple camera options
"Smart SIM switch" (it's my way to call it ) : switching automatically the network type (2G, 3G, 4G) to always have 3G or 4G on the active data SIM
What's not : don't know yet Tell me and I'll try to fix it if I can.
Little reminder about MIUI and its flavours :
MIUI China : it's the base of all other flavours of MIUI (http://en.miui.com/)
MIUI Global : it's the one with the biggest amount of languages, Gapps and some other apps (http://en.miui.com/)
MIUI Pro : it's another very good one with less preinstalled apps, less languages, developped by a belarus team if I'm not mistaken (https://miuipro.by/)
MIUI su : it's a russian version but I never tested it... (https://miui.su/)
Other reminder : it's a PORT from the Xiaomi Redmi 3 device (whose specs are very close to the K5+, that's why it's possible), so I will not be able to add/modify/remove features (I'm not a dev).
Flash at your own risk, I'm not responsible for any damage or brick.
Don't hesitate to wait 20 minutes for the first boot.

What's working :
wifi
bluetooth
camera (photo and video)
What's not : don't know yet Tell me and I'll try to fix it if I can.
Little flaw : due to the packaging of the initial ROM, I was not able to modify build.prop to change the brand and name of the device (in about section), but you can do it by editing the file in /system/build.prop after installing and then reboot. It has no secondary effects, and you can change the name of your device (for bluetooth mainly).

First of all, just in case, my device is A6020a46 (K5+) 2Gb variant. I do not guarantee for other phones (in fact I guarantee it won't work on K5 device).
On my side I use TWRP 3.2.1 (last version), please check your version. Do you have errors while installing ? How do you proceed ?
For the way to port, I've compared some ported roms with original Redmi3 ROMs and put into a patch all different files (with the help of @mays81 who ported many ROMs for K5+ and told me which files fix what).
By changing boot.img and "firmware" folder in the original zip, and then flash the patch with minor changes in it, it should work for any MIUI ROMs...

Amazing, full driver support direct from XIaomi, with GPlay and multilenguage 10/10

Found TWRP file which is "maintained" by MIUI.it: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1322778262903992312
Very Good!
It's working very well. I've installed it around 2h ago.
Are there directions to help a relatively newbie install this? I've recently purchased a Mi Pad - and it has an unofficial ROM and I'm hoping to flash this one. The device came unlocked already.
First, I followed this link to flash TWRP: stuffcompare.com/blog/807/How-to-flash-TWRP-recovery-in-Mi-Pad4. But I'm not sure that's actually successful. I'm not sure how to boot into TWRP...
Any help would be very, very much appreciated. Thanks.
Power off your tab.
Press and hold volume up + power buttons untill You see MI logo.
After a while TWRP should boot

- Wipe/ Format data and Reboot in to Recovery TWRP again

someone wrote about swapping two different Mi Accounts but... probably they already fixed it, it was not working for me a couple of hours ago.
I'm afraid we have to wait for one month.
which is totally crazy, IMHO.
Flashed but still little buggy for my taste (like the Power app crash sometimes installing apks, same bug on miui.it rom); China is more stable. is for daily use? Probably yes but have some troubles with games like PUBG
How to root this rom using twrp ?

After you died in a game, PUBG remains locked in the death cam and doesn't quit automatically to the lobby. So you need to press back button to force the exit menu to appear

Thanks for your TWRP link and your instruction. Unfortunatelly, I have to wait for 720h before unlocking and flashing any ROM !

[ROM][5.1.1] Cyanogenmod 12.1 Lollipop (for Lenovo K5 Plus - A6020A46 only)

Hi all,
I've posted recently a Cyanogenmod build from Techolite, but I had some apps that I don't want in it and had problems installing Adaway app because an old version was already in it.
Here is a cleaner build (in my point of view) with less included apps :
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1PqLsfLRu3J95S706kycddd38ILfsN1DF
Here are the apps I removed :
Adblock
Google Calendar (sync is still included)
Eleven (the music player)
Email
Exchange services
Radio app
RootExplorer
Terminal
I hope some of you will appreciate
Well, it's a bit unexpected to see a lollipop rom tbh
But I appreciate your effort (even if i have sd415) as any contribution is a welcome contribution.

Yeah I know but I was searching for a long time a stable and light ROM, but with the hability to disable a SIM card ! As stock is not a choice for me, I only had the MIUI port option, but not very stable and light and with a lot of unneeded applications/bloatware.
By the way I discovered a bug with screen rotation and still some apps that could be removed, so I will give a new build soon hopefully
Any possibility to support L36 variant in future?

I did not find what the problem was with the rotation so no new build for now. If anyone has skills to test and understand the problem, feel free to post it here.
In the meantime, perhaps I will do a new MIUI port based on this one, hopefully the screen rotation will work, and the MIUI build will be more stable...

Don't know why... Why do you search for a 5.1 rom ? Is it for stability ? Battery backup ? SIM management...?

This is not an easy question, because it all depends on your needs and on what you are prepared to put up with. Most of them will do a decent job - depending on your needs. For me, I have found issues with virtually every Pie ROM that I have tried - and I have tried a lot. I think you just have to try as many as possible, and see which one most meets your needs while giving you the least amount of issues. I have eventually stayed with official HavocOS - but that may not suit your purposes. And I am always extremely wary of upgrading to new releases.
PS: with the benefit of hindsight, I should have stayed with Oreo - but I have taken the Pie plunge, so that's the way it is ...

I think you should - even if only just for the comparisons. I would start with Oreo (non-Treble) ROMs.

There is no such thing as a bugless ROM - but, from my recollection, Validus and AICP were reasonably good.

may be that's why people like MIUI...full with tons of bloatwares but reliable... however I remember my xperia z had huge roms available and lot of them were almost bug free.. old days were good for using custom roms

Hmm ... MIUI is very far from bugless. Personally, I wouldn't touch MIUI with a barge pole. It is the first thing that gets wiped from all my devices.

I have a simple solution :
1.Download your recovery img file
2. Keep the recovery in your phone internal storage
3. Keep the recovery in your pc too
4.Download adb setup in your pc
5. Install adb setup in your pc ( don't open after install)
6.Copy the recovery file
7. Go to your C drive and open adb
8.paste the recovery file
9. Press Shift and right click
10. Click open command window here
11. Switch off your mobile
12. Press and hold volume down and power key to go into fastboot mode
13. Now connect your phone to pc with data cable
14. Enter the code:-
(A). fastboot devices
(B) fastboot install recovery recovery.img
(C) fastboot boot recovery.img
Now your phone will boot into recovery mode
15. Swipe to allow modification
16. Press install
17. Install the recovery you kept in internal storage
Thats it...now reboot..
I personally reccommend Orangefox recovery
