[Q] SGH-M819N Flashing Custom ROM

Hi everyone. Recently, I have tried to flash the CyanogenMod (CM11) ROM via TWRP Recovery (v2.7.1.0), and it ends up with an error saying E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/TWRP/cm-11-20140628-UNOFFICIAL-meliusltexx.zip' which results in the "error flashing zip". I have the MetroPCS variant of the Samsung Galaxy Mega, and I could not find many threads that support this particular model. For anyone's reference, I downloaded the Custom ROM from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2566642.
I was wondering if anyone could help me solve this error. So far, my research on Google led me to unzip the zip file, navigate to "[ROM Name]\META-INF\com\google\android\", and replace the "update-binary" file in which no regard was given for what to replace it with. Google also brought me to this forum http://unleashedprepaids.com/thread-8745-post-71471.html#pid71471 which gave compatible ROMS for my particular phone, but all gave me the same error message.
At this point, I am willing to try anything else since I have both a Nandroid Backup and a TWRP created backup saved on my phone and computer. Currently, I have no system installed on my phone, but I'll restore it soon. Thank you guys for the help. I appreciate it.
Solved!
Never mind! I was able to figure it out. The thread can be closed now.

[Q] Help with upgrading to OTA Lollipop

Hello.
Hopefully someone can help me here since this is the question and answer thread. The Verizon General OTA thread was not very helpful or nice in answering my questions. I have my phone rooted with the 12B software. I downloaded the OTA file that I needed and made a folder in my phone under software and everything else that I needed to do but now I am very stuck on the terminal part. I have superuser and granted terminal root access but everytime that I do the script it just tells me : error: device not found. I have no idea what is going on and I wish someone would have a guide to help with this or someone tell me what I am doing wrong or something. I need some help please, and please don't be a jerk about it either. I am just not familiar with terminal.

First time building stock Rom need help plz

Hello I'm fairly new to this , but I've almost finished making my first stock based Rom. Its for the ZenFone 3 ZE552KL. The problem in having now is the meta-inf folder, more particularly the updated script. I can't seem to find one and I've tried other automated tool but keep coming up with errors.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
you might be able to use an OTA package from a similar device and rewrite the update-script file as necessary. i've been able to re-use the OTA packages from Nexus devices in the past like this.

Deleted file system [OnePlus5]

[SOLVED]
My device: OnePlus5 A5000
First of all I want to mention that I am kind of a novice on rooting so please do not go hard on me, mistakes happen. So I was running the lastest version of Android on my phone (Version 5.1.7) and decided to root my phone and use Magisk. So I unlocked my bootloader and I was going to work with TWRP. But I did a terrible mistake and wiped the system while experimenting. I know this is a very stupid mistake but it sadly happened. So my phone is basicly empty and has no OS running everytime with a black screen whenever I enter the system . The only thing I am able of doing is transfering files from my PC to my phone and using TWRP. I downloaded the original and latest OS version from OnePlus' site and moved it inside my phone. I then went on to install it via TWRP but I faced "Error 7". I did a research on that and I found out that it happens because it detects if it is a compatible ROM with the whole "assert" thing in META-INF in the "updater-script". I went on to unzip it and edit it with NotePad++to remove "assert" but "assert" was no where to be found since it was the original version. I then went on to try installing the lineage version for OnePLus 5 not knowing if it was going to work and it turned out to not work at all. I also want to mention that whenever I tried removing the "assert" from the lineage version I got an error of "Invalid zip file format!". Finally I want to mention that in order for me to view the files I worked by repairing the partition and converting it to FAT and exFAT(I did NOT convert it back to EXT4 yet). In case I am missing something or there is a way of solving it please let me know, I would really appreciate it! Also if you do not mind be as decscriptive as possible since I am a novice and I do not know everything like other individuals. I will though make a deep research on every single comment I get, I am not waiting for an easy solution on such a subject. I hope I can fix my phone with your help in the near future. Thanks in advance!
Files that I have downloaded (if necessary):
1)ADB Files
2)Original version of latest OnePlus 5 Update (5.1.7) (.zip file)
3)Lineage ROM for One Plus 5 (15.1-20181127-nightly-cheeseburger-signed)
4)TWRP (3.2.3-0-cheeseburger)

nah man. still looking for solutions. :/
Just to add to that, if you'd like to root your phone after doing that (=flashing magisk), you'll have to edit your build.prop file in the /system directory. Pull the file off of your phone using adb, find a ro.product.name line in it and put literally anything other than what's already there after the "=" character. Then, save the file and push it to the phone with 600 permissions, flash magisk and reboot.

Are you saying you managed to root the phone?
Do you have more detailed instructions for it?
