This is how I unlocked the factory reset protection on verizons galaxy mission
If you want to unlock the factory reset protection there's no way to do it through the old-fashioned going into developer mode on this phone particularly you have to basically erase all your accounts off of it Google and your Samsung account and your little message will a pop up saying that you are factory reset protection is not enabled do you want to do this blah blah blah and then there it is unlocked once you reset it it won't be there when you redo your phone so this is the way to have your factory reset protection off when you go to root it...... and thank you very much..... ps... it's right there in the instruction booklet of the phone when you buy it guys come on

Thanks...I was unaware of the instruction booklet for I Em A Reel Old Gee and got mine off the meen streets of Mayne. Thanks A Gain

[Q] Bootloader destroyed - download mode stopped working

Hello everyone
I need the help of some professionals around here
I just made a mistake while trying to root my Galaxy Tab 10.1 (P7500) with Stock ICS (4.04) on it. I did the following:
I followed this a Tutorial to root the tablet with Odin.
1) I booted the tablet into download mode
2) Then I used odin to update the bootloader
3) Instead of clicking the "PDA" button in Odin I clicked the "Bootloader" button and started the flash process - which was the mistake
3) After this the tablet restartet
The problem is now the following. I cannot boot into the download mode anymore (the normal system still boots fine). When I press volume up + power the selection screen appears. When I then choose download mode, the screen turns black and the tablet restarts. I seem to have destroyed the bootloader.
So all methods to root the tablet with ODIN for flashing a new bootloader fail because I cannot get into download mode anymore.
So I tried the root method by copying the Rooting-Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-10.1.zip to the root directory. Then I went to the stock recovery mode and choose the option "update from external sd card" to install the root. Unfortunately I get the following message: "E:unknown volume for path [/sdcard]". I cannot find any way to choose a file. I read the the mount point in ICS to /sdcard is set during the boot process so its not available in the stock recovery mode.
So I am kind of stuck now because I cannot use Odin and also cannot use the stock recovery mode to do anything.
I also tried the following:
Reset to factory defaults - Didnt helpt still cannot get into download mode
Install Mobile Odin to flash a stock bootloader - did not work because there is no root
Does anyone of you have an idea? I am really stuck at the moment and would appreciate any help.
Try the emergency firmware recovery or re initialization tools in Kies and see how you get on. Never used them myself though so don't know how they're supposed to work. (May just try to invoke download mode?! I dunno!)

I would try a comple, and I mean a COMPLETE drain of the battery. It'll take a week but maybe that's your best option

Click to collapse
If you've got Clockwork Mod recovery installed, you should be able to install superuser to give you root permission.
Or are you still running stock recovery?

[Q] I am in serious trouble. Would appreciate if anyone could offer me some help

I have a Hong Kong version Galaxy S6 Edge which I have rooted through Pingpong root. Yesterday, after I installed TWRP recovery through Flashify, the phone could not boot up with this message: "Custom binary blocked by c-rom." I then searched on-line and noted that for our version of the Edge, there is a bootloader lock which must be unlocked before any custom rom or recovery could be installed.
There are on-line solutions for "Custom binary blocked by reactivation" which basically requires the phone to be booted into download mode and install through Odin. I have tried this method but the phone did not seem to react to Odin (not sure if this is due to C-rom lock). Also this method requires removal of the battery which is not possible for Edge.

I brought the phone back to Samsung Service Centre yesterday but they simply refused to help and suggested that I replaced the motherboard for some US$350. I am sure that there is nothing wrong with the hardware and so did not accept their service plan.
I appreciate that this problem only exists in China version of the phones (see link below) which have C-Rom lock but still I I would be grateful if anyone in the forum could offer me some help here. Would be much appreciated.

Have you tried putting the phone in emergency mode and using the smartswitch recovery mode to try to fix the phone?
Thanks for your comment. As the phone cannot bypass the bootloader lock, I cannot switch it to emergency mode.
Odin works differently you have to boot into download mode by being powered off, then press power, home, volume down, then press up.
Do not connect to computer yet, open Odin, load your files, let it do its thing, then connect to computer, you will see added, then hit start.
Good luck.

Bricked S6 Edge. Am i SOL or is it salvagable

Welcome ladies and gentleman to my tail of how i ****ed up my phone. I have researched on possible ways to fix my edge but all so far have failed and possibly screwed me so i'm down to asking for any ideas, tips on how to possible "save" my phone. I attempted to root my phone via King-Root (already know a stupid idea). i forgot to turn off Knox security and when it tried to boot frp lock, and Kernel is not SEAndroid Enforcing. So i went into safe mode (idk whats the correct term for it) cleared all cache and tried to flash new firmware onto the phone, tired 3 attempts and all failed, now its stuck in an error screen reading "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recover function in the Smart Switch PC Software. I downloaded smart switch just to see if possible it would take it out of the error screen and its not recognized by smart switch. I have heard the use of certain cables effects whether smart switch will recognize the device but i am using the given Samsung micro USB cable. ( I will also ask my dad when hes back if he did anything else to the phone that he didn't tell me about) I just want to know if i have anymore options to UN-brick it, whether it would be a good idea to see if i could get my warranty by destroying the phone or if its a lost cause all together and i should just sell it to at least get some money from it. Thanks for any feedback, it will be greatly appreciated.
Try to flash the correct rom for your device using windows 7...
If it boots in download mode (power button +home button+volume down button) then it should be salvageable. Boot in download menu and from there just flash a stock rom from http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ via odin.

[HELP] Softbricked Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Hey everyone!
You are my last option, I am on the edge of a nerve breakdown, seriously. I wanted to root my S7 Edge because my car doesn't read the phones filesystem, so I could root it, and download an app, to make it look like the phone was USB Mass Protocol, and then work with my cars usb port. ( It doesn't have an AUX)
So I rooted my S7 edge using Odin and RTWJ, and it worked fine, however snapchat wasn't working, so I downloaded x-posed loader, and tried to install the framework, and this was when things started to go south.
I don't remember what exactly happened, I just remember going into settings to reset everything back to factory settings, then it restarted my phone, and it was just stuck in the booting screen with the icon and such. At this point, recovery mode didn't work anymore, only download mode. So I went into download mode, and I downloaded my countrys stock firmware (NEE for nordic countries), and tried installing that on the phone again. When I pasted in the BL, AP, CP and CSC, and clicked on download, it failed, and on the phone screen it would say "SECURE CHECK FAIL : (PIT)".
I then went and tried it all over again, but only with the AP this time. Then I got the error: SECURE CHECK FAIL : (BOOTLOADER)
THEN I tried with the original RTWJ custom recovery in the AP, and it suceeded! I could finally get on my phone again, however snapchat still wasn't working, and I had had enough of this ****, so I went into the SU App, headed over to settings, and clicked on "Unroot". This was probably a big mistake, because after this, my phone turned into a brick (almost)
At this point I COULD access the recovery with the VOL UP + POWER + HOME, and I went to delete all files / factory reset, and all cache files aswell, to set the phone back to zero.
Now nothing worked, and the last things I tried, was to go into download mode again (recovery mode no longer works), and try to install stock firmware, RTWJ and CWM. NOTHING works, the installation is suceeded, but nothing happens on the phone, it's still stuck in the booting screen.
PLEASE help, I am so close to return it, and just pay whatever it costs to have it fixed.

Problems with Jodin3 and FRP

Hi guys newbie here:good:
I’ve got a Samsung A8+ given to me by a family member whose google account info is long forgotten. Stuck getting past the unauthorised factory reset screen (stupidly when I was given it I factory reset it via recovery mode rather than through the OS properly).
I have a MacBook and have been playing around with Jodin3 to see if I can flash stock firmware back into it and start afresh, but I’m not quite getting there.
On my Mac I have downloaded Jodin3, Java, heimdell and the Samsung USB drivers. I boot the phone into download mode and it’s recognised on Jodin.
The firmware I acquired from desktop.firmware.mobi
I search for SM-A730F and then select the most up to date file. Unsure whether I should be choosing boot image, recovery image or both so have tried them all.
On Jodin, under PDA (have also tried phone) I select the file I’ve downloaded, click start, get a few messages about obtaining a PIT which is all good. When the phone auto restarts I hold down the button combination to ensure it starts in download mode again as prompted, I then once again click start and Jodin seems to do its thing.
The phone then restarts and I get the same old unauthorised factory reset screen. What on earth sm I doing wrong??
Any suggestions appreciated!
thanks for the PMs offering professional paid services but I was hoping someone could just give me some advice on where I’m going wrong :good:
