Substratum - Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Themes, Apps, and Mods

I have been using Substratum with LineageOS for a while now, and figured I would start a thread. For those not aware, Substratum is a themeing engine. So has anyone found some good themes?
I use SwiftDark. Turns the base color to a dark grey with light text. Combine with nightmode in apps that that have that, and the "Dark background Light Text" addon in Firefox, and I can keep my phone from blinding me with the all the white that Material Design uses.

Same here. I've been using Swift Dark for quite a long time on all my devices. Top-notch design and excellent support. Worth every penny!
Swift Black is also excellent, but a bit "too dark" for my taste

Good find, lets hope its true
Will not be amused if this is available a week after I get the blue one.
come on guys, this is just a site that does 3d animations for phones. Did you really think that samsung would not have announced a black version?

Neither will I However I think the listing could well be a mistake colour-wise. When I was looking at pre-orders, there were a couple of places that had white or black listed as colour options, but later corrected to white or blue. I think the blue should be dark enough in real life to pass as nearly black anyway.

Looks like the blue version to me.
Looks blue to me too
looks like blues clues to me i dont know about black..you know that fruit company might sue again
Also they don't even list the blue, which is a bit strange.
I'm calling BS
According to Eldar Murtazin, later it will be available in black too.

Probably the crappy US Carrier versions.
Eldar Murtazin told me on twitter that the black version will be available for Christmas. Well, i want it so much, but i'm not going to wait :|
I have always had a black phone so ive decided this time it's gonan be different,i want the marble white SGS3 but the blue one looks really nice as well i just cant make up my mind.
Seems immeasurably stupid not to include a black version at launch. It harks back to the days of kids running around with bright red Nokia Xpress-on covers and potentially alienates a large portion of the market who want a sleek, back, professional looking phone - not a teenager's fashion accessory.
The inclusion of things like S-Voice are the kinds of things that look great in a shop but you end up never using in practice. For the same reason it boggles the mind why Samsung didn't give the option of a black version; part of the reason AMOLED screens look so impressive is the near seamless transition between black on-screen and a black bezel, made possible by AMOLED's superior contrast.
I had a very reaction when i saw the white and blue versions at the presentation. I hate white phones and thought the blue looked horribly cheap. Ive now seen a blue one in the flesh and its nothing like as bad as i feared. Its actually quite smart looking.
Many of the images of it make it look a lot lighter than it actually is. The front looks black in most lights an the pattern on the back is almost like metal.
I would still prefer a black phone though.
its the blue one!

Red / black theme, - wirefram is good, but I would like red

Hello, even since I got a Galaxy Note 3 I've been obsessed with red / black themes, but I don't use any, and I've been having trouble finding any, for really any program (that doesn't need access to Device ID & Calling info!).
I'd like to see a Red / black theme for Themer for night time use, as there is a lot of research that say that (other than no light at all) is best for night time. Colors like bright white, and blue tell the body to stay awake, and slow down the production of melatonin, and I don't want to do that.
I don't know anything about themes, and you all do such an AMAZING job, so far I have 4 themes installed, and like them all.
Last one installed is 'Wireframe' because it's mostly black.
The first them I installed was 'Dark Orange' I really like that!
Next was 'Blue Power' because I wanted a bright blue theme in the daytime,
Then the badass looking 'Callouts' theme (with both a red and blue side!)
and again, lastly Wireframe!
Thank you all for your OUTSTANDING work on making this INCREDIBLY easy, and so much variation!
I hope you all get around to a few more blue themes, and a couple dark red themes (as there are NO dark black / red themes)

Hi,
You can always change the colors of themes that you enjoy. We will try and include a red and black theme soon, but for now these videos should help: http://bit.ly/ThemerVideos

New Blue coral. Opinions. Like or hate

Hy. Yesturday i went to see live note 7 blue coral. Samsung has choose very interesting combinations of colours that change acording to light and ungles. Blue coral is not the same in reality like in photos and youtube. Many people, specialy man in my country hate it at first view. What you think after seiing live the colors. I like it and i think they are very original and stylish.

Looks like my old S3, so fine by me.
Andre
I was debating between blue or black and at the end black won just because of how crazy is the blue color. I din't have a chance to see a demo unit (available only on SEP16 where I live and I will have the phone on SEP2) but looking Youtube, reviews it look white blue or rich blue depending on the lighting. I like the rich blue but white blue with low light conditions was not for me, the trim also could be sliver or maybe even black with a little bit darker blue phone. So this time i say no to blue coral
It looks really good in real life but I am on doubt if it's not feminine especially with that golden border. If it has silver border I would say it's the best color even that Onyx Black is very sleek and beautiful - just not so special. So I am on doubt what color to choose but definitely not the silver one (I don't like shining silver phones at all)...
I like it but went with black

Don't like the Blue Coral colour, not sure why all the hype about this colour, it's a boring blue IMO

I found it underwhelming in real life when I played around with a demo unit. It looked far better on film in various Youtube videos.
The biggest reason to get it is because it says "look at my new phone" as there's no other phone (currently) on the market like it. Bit it's kind of like the massive demand for the gold iPhone when it first came out. Everyone wanted the color for the previous reason. Six months from now Blue Corral won't be special anymore and then it'll just be a blueish phone with pinkish trim. I use my phone for business and the only color that doesn't scream "look at me" was black.
Meh. I wasn't impressed. It looked a bit too feminine for my tastes, but if that's your thing then more power to you. I love that the metal rim on the onyx version is actually black now. It makes the phone look sleek and simple. Plus, I also use my phone for business so the black was the best (read: only) option. Not that I'm complaining, it's sexy af in black.
It's Dope ...
Usually have black devices. But got the bronze 10.1 tab on impulse: it still looks good. The iPhones that mimicked it have a pallid 9ct gold effect that doesn't look so good. So I'm going for the blue this time, reckoning that Sammy has got it right this time too. If it's too bright, it can be toned down with a black case, but I suspect the Note 7 will be classy enough to carry the colour...
I had mine outside in the direct sunlight today for the first time (got it last night) and the metal frame looks pink...I knew the blue was feminine-ish, but the pink tint on the frame DEFINITELY tops off the feminine look IMO.
Anyone wanna trade their black one for a blue one? LOL.

I first ordered titinium silver as I've always liked the color since the s7 came out but did not want the s7. My note 2, 3, 4 were all black (note 2 was really dark grey) so for sure I didn't want black. Just so I don't dismiss the blue completely, I still went to a Tmobile store to check out the blue. There was a lot of light in the store and made the blue look baby blue and I did not like it. So I told myself, blue was not for me and left. I went home and watched several more unpacked reviews and the ones showing the blue made the phone look really good depending on the lighting, and wasn't always baby blue. So after several more videos I watched of the blue, I decided to also order it. Figure if I have more time with it I'll have a better non rushed judgement on it.
Once I received both phones, I opened the blue first and fell in love with it right away. The blue inside my office is nice. I like how it switches to different hue's of blue. Now the rose gold trim does put me off a little but in my clear case it doesn't stand out as much. But it's not ugly either, just felt too feminine.
A day later I opened the titanium one. I still like the titanium, BUT compared to the blue, I now found it boring. To be fair, I gave it a few more days and played with both phones but blue being my daily. In most places I go, unless I'm outside, the blue stays pretty dark or at least not baby blue. Unless I'm in direct sunlight. Sometimes it looks bluish dark grey (which I love). I just love the different variation of blue it produces (besides baby blue obviously). The titanium does get slightly darker but it always looked bright silver in most scenarios and does reflect more light. So in the end, chose the blue.
So my thoughts....I think had I not had a chance to play with it for at least a few days in my own environment, I wouldn't have chosen it. If you are considering the blue don't judge it based on pictures, or seeing it for a few minutes, or even what others think of the color. Your best bet if you are undecided is to take it home and try it out for a few days yourself. That goes for any of the colors, not just blue.

S10's OLED Display Is Actually Better For Your Health

One interesting thing that most people aren't talking about is the fact that Samsung's new displays are actually TUV Rheinland certified for significantly less blue light emission (advertised 42% reduction), while still maintaining optimal colors and picture quality.
To me this is a huge selling point. Most people probably don't care, but blue light is shown to cause significant eye strain, and slow the development of melatonin in the brain., destroying your sleep quality. Just curious on everyone's thoughts about this.
Here's some more info if anyone's interested;

Samsung discussed it at their event. Reviewers/Youtubers and tech sites rarely comment on blue light emission. You'll come across more articles on how to kill Bixby! The Honor 8X was certified too, but few speak about it.

Didn't know about the honor 8x. Is that also a Samsung display? I'm curios to know exactly what manufactures use Samsung displays aside from Apple.
hope this doesn't mean the screen will be more yellow. I hate that. loved Samsungs bc of their nicer, bluer screens tbh. my pixel 2 looks nasty compared to my note 9.

Blue-light filters usually make things yellow, but I checked the s10/s10+ in a shop and the display is PERFECT, the white levels are incredibly pure and it looks cleaner than my XZ1's IPS which I thought would have unbeatable whites when compared to oleds, that's no longer the case.
I always hated OLED but Samsung found a way to reduce its drawbacks while creating a super accurate panel, if you want to buy one last AMOLED device while waiting for Micro-led to be a thing in mobile, this looks like a very wise choice.

They're still trying to shrink it for the average TV size, I hope it will come soon.
Did some more research on the Honor 8x, it appears they are advertising blue light reduction with their "eye comfort mode" which tweaks the colors you are seeing. While on the other hand, Samsung is pointing out the 42% reduction from previous OLED's still maintains the same colors you're seeing. So based off that, the S10 is capable of reducing exposure without software tweaks.
It also appears that out of the box, the S10 is defaulted to the "Natural" color setting, and provides a "Vibrant" setting, which does increase color saturation. I wonder if the higher color setting changes your exposure by much...

Then the Honor 8x's solution is nothing more than a software re calibration tweak, I'm glad the S10 comes with a hardware solution that doesn't impact viewing experience.
But yeah using Vivid mode will increase your exposure to blue light depending on the displayed colors, I wouldn't worry that much, it is in no way as dangerous as the exposure to TVs, Desktop monitors or even daylight.
Can someone link to a bluelight study that shows its harmful. I lost my ebsco access when I left college. I always thought this was an overreaction. I've been staring at cool temp computer screens since the 90s, and my recent eye exam says my eyes are still perfect.
I've found the press release, but no peer reviewed papers.

Question My white has peach tint

I've noticed after completing the setup that my whites have a peach tint. Has anyone else noticed that they are not true white?

I believe the Monet theme engine is effecting the coloring, especially in the appearance of 'tint color' in 'whites'. When I change wall papers the 'tint color' changes in the 'whites'. This is just an hypothesis with some anecdotal evidence at this juncture.

Welcome to Material You! Google has decided to theme basically everything with pastel colors, and has really focused on pink as the color you should like on startup. They chose the colors they like and are pushing them on the customer with minimal options. It's frustrating as Apple even gives options of basic color schemes for those that want a more "professional" look. Maybe custom roms will give more options.
