US Unlocked Oreo? - Moto Z Questions & Answers

I just bought a RETPAC firmware Z and it updated to Oreo right out of the box. My RETUS version is still on 7.1.1 with Feb security patch. Might anyone have a clue when the US version might get Oreo?

Anyone have a link to most recent OTA package? Also, is it possible to go back to MM?

Im currently on 7.0, November 1, 2016 security patch, and Build Number 25.86-15. Phone is showing that I am up to date when I know that I am not. Anyone have a link to a more recent update I can flash through fastboot? Also, would it be possible to downgrade back to MM?
Sadly, if you either updated to Nougat via OTA or the phone comes with Nougat, there is no way to downgrade to Marshmallow.

Moto Z retus not updating?

What build number/security version patch level is your Moto Z retus unlocked model currently running? Mine's still on NPL25.86-30/January 1, 2017 and keeps telling me it's up to date whenever I check. I got to that update by flashing the TELUS stock ROM I saw in another post on here with RSD Lite but haven't received an update since then.
mine is repac and april security update
I re-flashed with RETUS 7.0 stock ROM I downloaded from https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/griffin/official/RETUS/ and immediately after booting I got the OTA to NPLS25.86-17-3-8 with April 1, 2017 security update.

How to go back from EMUI 8.0 rooted to 5.1 stock?

Hi everyone! I have rooted and unlocked my H9 STF-L09, i find it ok i guess, but i really miss the EMUI 5.1 days... I just think that was better.
So i'm asking you, is there a way to go fully back to stock Nougat, maybe with locked bootloader?
Thank you for your attention.
If you are rooted, your bootloader's actually unlocked.
So, because you're on oreo, you could use HuRUpdater to downgrade to a nougat firmware.
I'll test C432B184 rollback packages, if C432 is your actual region, as this version is the latest nougat build released for honor9 :

You could download the modified Odin and SimFirm applications on your computer, download the fw then update through Odin.
Or, you could go to https://firmware.science and follow the easy steps listed at bottom of the page. However I'm not sure this method will get you to the most current update.
Can I jump from my current android version to the most updated one? Or do I have to go though in between past updates?
Does this method work for the snapdragon version with locked bootloader?

Using Odin you can jump to the most current. And yes, as long as you choose the correct fw when downloading

Basically, yes, for stock firmware.
But depends on which variant you have, what is the last security patch you got. Korean variants got one last one in December 2019. Because LG is Korean company.
V30 LOS-17 based custom ROMs of course have current security patch with every release.
Even the LOS-16 ROM that is being updated by one Dev may have current security patch? Not sure about that, but you can check.
Even my V30+ DS AME version does not receive Android 9 yet.

Yes, some other V30 variants never got Pie, either. Like the Sprint LS998 V30+ and the AS998.
For your AME H930DS, you'll need to cross flash to some other H930DS region or you can even cross flash EU H930. Use the Dev Patched LGUP in the EU H930 or H930DS Pie KDZ threads.
