Please fix half brick of my devices

Dear all,
I've used device name EBEN T4 (e人e本 T4 - from china). I rooted device and deleted/modified system. So, now it can not boot, it stuck at manufacter logo. I wiped data/factory reset or wipe cache but not success. So it need to be reflashed device roms.
Device allowed me to enter recovery mode and select update rom from zip file on SDCard (internal memory). I saved zip file on SDCard. BUT SDcard have so many folders and files in root folder, and zip file names "update.zip" - it means that it is on near last of list, and recovery limited number of line to view, so i could not browse to update file.

Device has Vol +/-, home, left, right, back, menu and power button. (Home + Power will bring me to recovery mode)
Device use CPU Freescale i.MX535, android 2.3.4, origional recovery system.
Please suggest me how to fix that by anyway.
P/S: I found that Back + Power will bring me to fastboot interface?
Need help so much
That's why you should backup your system before rooting etc. Do you have a stock image of your device?

Thank you for reply.
This is stock image: http://update.eben.cn/t4/update.zip
I found that my device could enter fastboot mode by press back + power button.
When connect usb, screen show:
[fastboot mode]
fastboot is in init......
fastboot transfer buffer: 0x0000000
flash <1 word i cant recoginze> is MMC: 1
USB Mini b cable Connected!
fastboot initialized
USB_SUSPEND
USB_RESET
USB_RESET
Windows device Manager (on WIndows 7 32bit) shows that device connect (ADB), i'm used to use many ADB universal driver (google, ClockworkMod). When i used "fastboot devices" command, it reponsed nothing.
Could i connect to fastboot to update file update.zip to device? If ok, how i connect?
Fastboot will give you nothing, mate. Try to set up the ADB and use adb sideload <path/to/zip> without "<>" or delete folders in recovery by going to adb shell and changing the dir by cd command and removing them by rm -r foldername.
Good luck.

Data lost but huge "system data" partition after a crash

Hi everyone.
I've a Nexus 5 which runs Android 6.0.1 but I think the problem is not especially related to the Nexus 5, so I post here.
What happened ? Few days ago my phone crashed (I didn't use it) and was slow to boot up. So I tried to force the reboot by pressing the power button for 15/20s and it worked.
But 5/10min after I saw the "Select language" menu ... The phone performed a factory/reset by itself. I don't know why.
First, I plug my phone to my computer and I've seen that 26GB/32GB were already in use.
So I tried to recover my pictures and videos with many apps and the one which worked was "Undeleter" (5$) but it didn't recover all my data.
Yesterday, I wanted to understand what happened really. I ran "DiskUsage" which give me this result for /storage/emulated/0 :
{

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
How can I access to the "System data" partition which has a size similar to the storage space used before the crash ?
Regards,
Laurent
EDIT :
Finally I backed up all my data !
Indeed, files of my memory (/sdcard) before the crash was in /data/lost+found/#1351681/0
Then, I was able to move them to /sdcard and to copy the files on my PC.
How to ?
Make sure your phone is rooted and install a file explorer such as Root Browser.
Open Root Browser and navigate until /data/lost+found/#xxxxx [in my case, with a Nexus 5 it was 1351681/0]
(Look for the directory which corresponds to your previous "sdcard".)
Now, you can see the files but you can't open them. So move (not copy!) them to /sdcard (I suggest you to do that folder by folder).
Great, you've recovered your files ! But now, transfer them to your computer to prevent damages (I was forced to do that and remove files after to continue because the storage was full).
You can do it in connecting your phone to your computer and via the explorer or you can use adb (adb pull /sdcard/directory_to_move path_to_a_dir_of_your_computer)
I hope it will be useful.

Extract content from android backup

Hello everyone...
I find the phone with the non-working tuch ..
From the recoveri mode I managed to make a complete backup of the phone on sd and generated these 3 files:
userdata_20160101_000035.backup
userdata_20160101_000035.backup1
userdata_20160101_000035.backup2
is there a possibility to extract the content ???
I would be interested in contacts.
I state the phone is a Majestic
Thank you.
recovering contacts is not easy. you need SQLite Forensic Explorer to view the database file. the database is separated in many different tables, each table has a column "raw_contact_id" which contain always the unique id-no of contacts (one table contains phone nos, another table contains names, etc... you must query tables by id).
once you have extracted the backup, the file "contacts.db" is located "/data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases/"
from the backup I made, how do I extract the contacts.db file ??
remove the checksum(s) and merge the files. you need linux
don't be scared, i will explain you step by step. first step: do you have linux? if yes, press CTRL + ALT + T this is the terminal where you can do it. if no, please download unetbootin and prepare a bootable usb stick. you can run ubuntu on your pc without installing. don't hesitate to ask if you need help regarding unetbootin

"dd" does not accept wildcards. press <TAB> instead of * for word completion. you must type the full file name. remove the stars in this example code.
edit: i will answer in this thread, because this are linux basics. so lets open a "beginner" thread here, and leave the other thread open for more advanced questions. finally, your goal is to extract contacts, what we should not discuss in main thread

Creating a android dump file using ADB

Hello,
I am trying create a disk image on my windows PC of the data on my phone to see if I can recover some lost files.
On my PC, can I just use:
~# adb shell dd if=/dev/block/datapartition > data.img
or just
~# adb pull /dev/block/datapartition data.img
or do I need to use netcat and busybox to send and receive the files?
Do all these methods work exactly the same?
Thanks
just type the following on ADB
Code:
adb devices
Code:
adb shell
Code:
ls -la /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name
^ this would list all partion of your devices it should look like this
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
based on the screenshot above we know boot.img is mmcblk0p59
now we just do dd command
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p59 of=/sdcard/boot.img
Congratulation you now have boot.img backup of your device :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Thanks, but will that output to the phones sd card? I would like to output the img to my pc

Yeah I wanted to avoid writing to the phone's memory becuase I was trying to recover lost files from it. Plus the image would be too big to fit on the remaining memory anyway. Thanks for your help but I used netcat and busybox and successfully copied the image directly to my PC. Followed the tutorial here for anyone else reading this and was quite easy: https://dfir.science/2017/04/Imaging-Android-with-root-netcat-and-dd.html (second video for windows pc).

Amazfit nexo (Magisk,root)

Amazfit nexo (Magisk,root,wearable)
Why not use fastboot because the command is disabled.
You need: adb tool, QFIL (in QPST), MagiskManager.
1 .Install QPST on your computer
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2.Open QFIL and adb, enter adb reboot edl in the command window to enter 9008 mode
3.Extract boot
3.1)Download firehose and configure it according to the figure below
3.2)After entering Partition Manager, right-click the partition and click Manage Partition
3.3)Read partition: read as below
==============================================================================================
Note: Please backup each partition according to the above method, otherwise you will not be able to boot after failure. You can't use other people's recovery package to recover.
And at the same time rename to the partition name (without changing the suffix)
==============================================================================================
4.Convert boot.bin to boot.img (use IMg2simg)
5.Import to watch
Put boot.img into the watch, and cancel the hook of keeping avb2.0 in the installation option of MagiskManager.
6.Flash into boot
There is a magisk_patched.img file in the Download folder of your watch, put it on the computer, the watch restarts into 9008 mode, also use Partition Manger, right-click the boot partition (not aboot partition, don't
make a mistake), also click on the first One item, but to flash it in, we click Load Image and select this magisk_patched.img for flashing, twrp is the same.
7.Flash into wearable
Install ROOT Explorer,Unzip the wearable.zip and put it in the watch, copy it into the corresponding path one by one (for example, system/framework corresponds to /system/framework)
8.Then you can try to install some modules or wearos applications
