[MOD] Pixel 2 Boot Animations - Huawei Ascend XT 2 - huawei-ascend-xt Themes, Apps, and Mods

Pixel 2 Boot Animations. (Huawei Ascend XT2) (H1711)Preview - White - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrXHzTr2TrM
Preview - Black - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SR6wrGwHYvQ
These were originally posted in this thread by TECHNO_THUNDER (Please go over there and give him thanks!)
But the files over there will not flash correctly onto our Huawei XT2 because the bootanimation.zip file that we need to replace is located in a completely different location on our device.
I solved this issue by repacking and making a new flashable zip file that will flash the files to the right location. These boot animations look pretty awesome on our device so i thought I would share my zips with the community here.
This is my first time ever creating flashable zips so bear with me. I tested all of them multiple times just to be safe so you should have no problems.
Please back up your phone before installing mods. I cant be responsible if you brick your device
Instructions:
1. Place zip on your External SD.
2. Reboot to TWRP recovery.
3. Hit KEEP READ ONLY.
4. Go to INSTALL and SELECT STORAGE and then select Micro SD Card.
5. Find your zip file and select it. Then swipe to Flash.
6. Delete Cache and click reboot system. (Make sure to hit Do Not Install before the reboot)
Your phone will reboot and there might be some lag after the first boot but that should go away after the second reboot.
Download:
Pixel 2 Black Boot Animation 720p - Google Drive Mirror
Pixel 2 White Boot Animation 720p - Google Drive Mirror
And if you need to return to stock. Simply flash the zip below
Huawei Ascend XT 2 Stock Boot Animation - Google Drive Mirror
Alternatively you can extract the zip file and copy the bootanimation.zip inside into the /version/special_cust/H1711/att/us/media folder using any root file explorer and then reboot your phone.
Enjoy! :good:

nicely done friend. This saves me the headache of doing it manually each time I decide on a clean install.

[Script][HOW-TO]Flash a custom splash screen & Super CID (S-OFF Required)

So this is taken from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2316543 and credit for this goes to the people who figured it all out.
I rewrote, cleaned up, and tailored it to the M7.
This should work with all HTC ONE w/ S-OFF if not you probably need to set your CID to the SuperCID which can be done with this App.
***Disclaimer***
I am no way responsible for what You do with Your Device, You assume all risk and consequences if something goes wrong, everything is provided 'as is' enjoy.
GUIDE
1. Download the Attached Zip SplashCreator .zip (it has everything you need minus the image) i.e. adb and fastboot.
2. Extract the SplashCreator.zip to a folder on your desktop. e.g. ...desktop\splash
3. Take your image and size it to 1080x1920 save as PNG, JPG, or BMP. (use what ever editor you like)
4. Take the image and place it in the 'image' folder of the zip you downloaded and extracted
5. based on the image extension you used select from the menu and convert to splash1.nb0
6. Open the splash folder and copy/ADD the splash1.nb0 you created to the splash.zip file inside of the 'other' folder
7. Select option 5 to flash and follow the prompts.
7a. If the boot splash doesn't take effect select option 5 and set your CID to the SuperCID. (You can revert after you're done using option 6)
If you get stuck at the grey HTC logo don't worry just hold power till the device resets or use option 8 and start over.
I've uploaded the boot image I've been using if anyone else wants to use it feel free, download mushroom.zip, extract and follow instructions 6 and 7.
( MD5: 7F253CBCCEDC97C0E410AB9BCA14D10C SoltySplashCreator.zip )
( MD5: 03077AF50936A6F39E2349FCD55411B9 Mushroom.zip )
Updated everything and should all be working now. Let me know if you have any issues.

Well, this is my first post here as well. I uploaded some screenshots of the recovery screen, after downloading a (supposed ROM) to my external SD card from freaktab...(I can't include the link cuz I'm a noob)...just google this tablet model number and you'll find the thread with the ROM attachments.
Needless to say, the root didn't work, and I was wondering what I did wrong as well...
Nextbook 7 Premium SE (so says the generic insert that came in the box), but the model number is Next7P12-8G.
Yeah, I watched the noob video, and scoured all the threads. This device isn't even listed. Anywhere.
Don't know if these pics will help anyone, but as far as I can tell, getting to this screen is at least a start, as finding just how to put this device into recovery mode was chore in itself; to do that you must power it down, and once the device is completely powered off, hold down the power and volume control/down button (-) simultaneously until you see the update screen (in direct contradiction to what the instruction manual says- there is no "reset button" to be accessed through a pin hole)...then immediately release.
Well, good luck. If anyone can figure out how to root this thing, please let me know! Thanks!

This Root Works for Next7P12-8G
Yes Sir, it works! I rooted all 3 of my kids' Christmas tablets (lol)... Here's the link:
Well, I can't attach the link due to forum rules (this is only my 3rd post, I guess you need 10 before you can attach outside links...) So, copy and paste this phrase into Google and it should be the first one that comes up:
Amlogic Next7P12-8G Modified Recovery - Stock Rom & Flashable Root
Just download the first and third (links) on this page, as the middle one is a ROM (which is explained on the page, as only being necessary in case you have a corrupt one and need to fix it- it's not a mod). All you need is the modified recovery file and root zip file. Just read the thread, follow the above instructions (which are also located within the thread), and you'll be good to go!

question about same model number but different processors
Hi I noticed the model number for this Next7P12-8G, well I ordered one from Walmart and am expecting to get it this week. I noticed even though the model number I am getting is the same, the one I am getting has the 1GHz Cortex A9 processor instead if the dual listed above. Do you know if the rooting process would be the same as the dual? This is the efun nextbook7p12-8 that is on sale on Walmart.com right now for 64.99 or something. Has anyone tried this lately? Thanks in advance
Follow this!

Follow this video: goo.gl/vl0kI7

My little brother had this tab and I figured it out! I am not responsible if anything happens (it hopefully won't) search kingaroot it should be some jap site, download the app that should have a phone right next to it, and that will root this device. Just uninstall the app afterward.

Samsung GS5 CWM & boot animations (first week root)

It's my first time customizing an android phone after rooting it, and I have to say, there's a lot to learn. Samsung devices are made to read qmg files when it comes to boot animations, but I'm already making my own boot animations, and I have a lot of questions I hope this post isn't that long.
================================
1- after installing CWM can I UNINSTALL it using odin? Or is there any other way to do it without my computer?
================================
2- I know that you can't UNflash files, so when I flash a zip file (specifically bootanimations4U) what files should I back up? I'd rather back up only the files that will be replaced? Or is there an app to back up files from a certain folder and just bring them back if I want to bring back the normal animations?
================================
3- let's say that my device is rooted, it has CWM installed, and also, has the . zip enabler flashed already and in use. I'm planning to FORMAT my phone in a couple of weeks because I want to use it as if it's rooted with the whole storage available (I don't have storage problems I just want to do that) but my question is...
==========
-Q3: if my goal is just to delete my data and apps only, can I just use the factory reset from the settings? Do I need to do anything regarding CWM or the zip file I've flashed? Will CWM be deleted? Will I have to flash that .zip reader enabler (bootanimations 4u) again? What do I need to do if I needed to reset my phone without any problems?
================================
4- is there a file size limit for the bootanimations.zip files on Samsung devices (galaxy s5 android 6.0) and also the audio file size limit?
================================
5- what is the condition in which I have to flash the bootanimation4U.samsungani.zip file and not the other one?
