Does the vibration alert is capable of letting the wearer wake up from sleep? - Amazfit

I intend to let the sleep tracking trigger the alarm to wake me up at the time when my sleep is lightest. But the question is, is it strong enough to let the wearer wakeup from sleep?

IMO, no.
The watch's vibration is too weak for me
even in its highest setting
I wish there were some way to make it stronger.

i've just set 5 alarms in a one minute interval, and it somehow works for me

Wakes me up first time every time I've used it (other than when the battery died overnight) - though I highly recommend having a backup alarm fire a minute or so later just in case
Waking up from vibration is much nicer than a noise I find

How did you make your watch work to automatically wake you up? I have just written about it via "feedback" so they could work on that feature and I found out this thread afterwards. So there is already a workaround? It works already?

[Q] Alarm Clock from full sleep?

Hello,
I am running a gTab with TNT Lite 4.4 and Launcher Pro. I like the setup very much (thanks to all the help found here), but am having problems trying to find an alarm clock app I can set up the way I like.
Ideally, I want an alarm that will open Pandora at a specified time. Barring that, I'd be happy with an app that started the alarm from sleep mode. I don't like leaving the display on all night, even if it's in the "dim" or "night mode". However, it seems that the minute I put the gTab to sleep, the clock stops ticking and the alarm doesn't go off until you wake up the device (the wake updates the clock to the actual time).
Am I nuts, or is there some kind of bug? Are there alarms that will wake up the tablet from sleep? So far I've tried "Alarm Clock Plus" and "AppAlarm Pro" without success.

This is a bug without doubt - what is the point of an alarm that
you have to turn on
YOu might try some of those keepalive programs in the market, but
my experience is that, like most android apps (and android itself
for that matter), they don't really work perfectly.
Here's what I've come up with so far. It seems to be working, although with some caveats.
I installed "Load Monitor" and enabled what they call "Wake Lock" which, according to the FAQ, prevents the tablet from going into a deep sleep. It seems to allow the clock to keep accurate time while screen is off. It also might help people's WiFi issues. I don't know the effect on battery life, but plugging it in while it's on the nightstand isn't a problem.
I've found that Pandora needs to be closed, not paused. Sometimes it'll work when paused, but not always.
I would be happy to hear anyone else suggestions as I'm certainly disappointed in how this is working.
EDIT: Also, you need to have the volume turned up loud enough manually. If you let the app set the volume, it's never loud enough.
App alarm pro is what I use on my phone. It can restart the app if you were using the night before. I use it to wake to Howard on the Sirius XM app and the developer is friendly and responsive. I haven't tried it on the gtab yet as my night stand isn't that big!

[Q] Battery Booster any good???

i am about to install BATTERY BOOSTER on my razr maxx.....i dont think my battery is as strong as they say, yes it last longer than most but i dont think its as strong as people make it out to be....any suggestions on this app ??
Haven't heard anything about this app. Juice Defender is usually the one that I hear the most about.
All they can do is turn off different things at different times... like the 3G/3G data. Juice Defender does what it claims, but at a cost. Turning on the screen to use the browser, there's a long pause before the data "wakes up". I deleted the app. I get 2 days of varied use from my Maxx and that's with the screen at full brightness, 4G on, Bluetooth on, and pretty much indiscriminate use of everything wasteful I can find.
I ran it for a while back on my Samsung Galaxy PLAYER 4.0, it was nice to have easy settting to trigger turning wifi, bluetooth and Airplane Mode on and off with locking and unlocking, but on that device I realized it was a complete waste for me because I could leave airplane mode on all the time on it and I only toggle wifi on if I need to use it right then, so really for the razr's its pretty pointless as most of what it does can be done with SMART ACTIONS, but it would give you a battery percentage and battery temp in your notifications if you like that sort of stuff.
If you want to max your battery and push notifications aren't that important to you use these settings in smart actions:
by default I have GPS off completely, on the rare occasion I need it I will turn it on manually.
I use one primary Smart Action and that is a reprogrammed "Battery Extender" with
TRIGGERS:
Screen Off
Charging (not charging)
ACTIONS:
Background Sync (Disable)
Cellular Data (Disable)
basically with these settings when the screen is off its equivalent to a "dumb phone", you can recieve calls and texts but no "push" notifications, this increased the time between charges by atleast 20% for me.
Also as I say in all these threads not forget to regularly (atleast every 2 weeks) power cycle (shutdown then reboot) your phone, I went like the first month of owning without ever shutting it off and when I got in the habit of doing this I noticed atleast a 10% increase in time between charge compared to never shutting off.
Screenshots of my last battery cycle below.

What your screen shot shows is that you basically don't use your phone. I wouldn't be able to even get close to 10% screen time if I tried. Unless I just let the phone sleep all day.
can any of you guide me through these smart actions....because even after the help videos and all, i still dont really understand how the triggers and actions work....i dont think im getting nearly the battery time i should out of this phone.....i have to put it on the charger at least 2 or three times out the day for a little while and by 10-11 oclock its still down to about 30-40 percent....and im hearing people getting almost 2 days on a full battery...not me!! so please help

I never made any claim to be a heavy user, when at work, home and where I go for my lunch break I use my Laptop, as I don't care to stare at a small screen if I don't need to, my phone is for like when i'm at walmart or somewhere and I need to look something up real quick.
But, for the record the smart action settings I listed will drop your overnight battery drain to like 1% every 3 hours or so which is really a huge boost to those that don't live starring at there phone day in / day out, nothing can help those people but rehab and counseling for there addiction issues, LOL (that was a joke don't get pissed off)

OK, as simple as I can make this
1. open Smart Actions app
2. click View samples in lower right hand corner
3. click Battery Extender
4. press and hold on trigger labeled Motion Detector, when menu pops up choose Delete
5. Look for + sign just to right of the word Actions (in the middle of the screen), tap the + sign
6. Scroll to very bottom of list and tap Cellular Data, menu will pop up with 2 choices (enable, disable) tap disable
7. (Optional) press and hold GPS under actions, and when menu comes up hit delete
8. Tap Add Rule on bottom left hand side of screen.
your done and set with my settings, AGAIN with these settings your phone WILL NOT RECIEVE new email or other data related notifications while the screen is off, but it will reduce power drain to aproxx 1% every 3 hours while the screen is off (barring other apps running in the background I can't account for), your could also ADD a time trigger if you only wanted it to do it at night so the junk emails notifications don't wake you up.

Smartband alarm is very weak. Possible to adjust?

The main reason I got the smartband was to use it as an alarm clock. So far it hasn't been able to wake me up even once.
Either the vibration is just too damn weak, or I'm a very heavy sleeper.
Has anyone else experienced this problem, and is it possible to increase the vibration somehow?

does it vibrate well when you get txt message or phone rings? have you enabled alarm in smardband settings?
Not possible to increase, but from my experience the vibration wakes me up well.

Same vibration all around, so doesn't seem to be something wrong with the alarm. Also tested the alarm during the day to make sure it works, which it does, so it looks like this is about me sleeping too heavy or something.
Bummer.
I'm a heavy sleeper, my wife can attest to that, but it has woken me up every day!

Checkout the "Smart wake up" option; see if you have that option turned on.
I don't claim to understand how the feature works; but it says "SMart wake-up wakes you up when you are sleeping lightly". I'm assuming this feature prevents the watch to wake you up through the alarm feature, if you're in a deep sleep?
Do you have the SmartBand tight enough on your wrist?
As far as detecting light/deep sleep I'm not sure how advanced that feature really is.. beyond making an educated guess based on movement patterns that is.
I did try making it tighter, and today it actually woke me up. Downside is it leaves a nice imprint on my wrist. But I can live with that.

It does, but the smartband isn't very reliable when detecting sleep at all from my experience, so I don't really trust it detecting light vs. heavy sleep either.
However, the smart wakeup feature will always vibrate when set up. If you have looked at the description you may have noticed that it's not a set time point, but an interval. It basically should check for light sleep, and wake you up as soon as detected, but at the latest at the determined end of the interval regardless of sleep.

Well I use my smartband as an alarm and it has never failed to wake me up. I use the small band with the last slot left open (the end slot), you must be a very heavy sleeper (I thought I was a heavy sleeper, reaching the record of 13 hours of sleep)

Sony Smartband sleep functionality discussion

Hi everyone,
I opened a discussion to understand how Sony Smartband works inside the core.
I don't know if anyone knows exactly, but one functionality that makes me think is the Sleep tracking with Smartband/Lifelog.
I realized that the smartband is capable of capture when we sleep and measure the deep sleep time daily, but anyone know how can it capture this information?
1- I see that the smartband only sees after midnight and so on, some times I sleep at 10pm, but it always marks as 00:00am, is there any way to monitor it more accurate?
2- Another curious feature is, how Smartband knows that I am not in a deep sleep and wake me up during the period I set to wake me up?
Anyone tried to create an app to access these functionalities outside the Lifelog? I would really appreciate that my smartband vibrates in my wrist every time I receive SMS, Whatsapp message and others... and will be best if we can change the vibration for every notification like:
Whatsapp = 1 short vibration
SMS = 1 long vibration
Incoming call = Constant vibrations until I accept or reject the call
Thank you!

Don't you have Smart Connect app installed? You can have your Smartband vibrate for notifications with that app

Hi,
Yes, I have the app, but in my settings just show to vibrate when someone calls me...
Can you show me the path to vibrate when SMS or Whatsapp message arrives?
Thank you

It's the second highest option for me, it reads "notifications". Enable that
Edit: Could you please show a screenshot of your Smartband app?

Found it, thank you!
Now I'm curious in how to improve the sleep measure.
Today I woke up at 06:20 but went to sleep again 5 minutes later, it won't mark the 1 more hour that I slept.
I'm not so happy with this measurement
Maybe you have auto night mode on so it switches to day mode and does not recognize sleep any more? Mine works even when I'm awake whole night in night mode it shows that I have been awake.

Hi,
My night mode is set to 11pm to 9am...
So it's strange that smartband captures just my sleep from midnight, and if I sleep until two hours or more after night mode (11am) it register ok.
The problems are :
I cannot wake up and sleep again
It don't mark my sleep before midnight
Example : if I fall asleep during the evening, it's supposed to capture this sleep time too?
Thank you
From my experience the smartband will only log your sleep time while on sleep mode, which you set to every night at the interval of your choosing. In your case from 11 pm to 9 am.
However you can always shift the smartband from day mode to night mode manually by long pressing the smartband button, it will vibrate and activate night mode at any moment during the day. After changing to night mode it will log your sleep cycle no matter the time of the day, as long as you keep it on night mode. And it's not magic either, I've stayed up late watching TV very still and the smart band thought I was "light sleeping" just because it activated night mode (due to time) and I was not moving much!
And for instance the time you woke up at 6, and the smart band switched to day mode you can just long press the button and it will shift the smart band to night mode again, and register the extra hours you sleep.
Hi Adolfo,
Thank you for your tips.
I was testing the sleep feature and I figured out the same of you.
Sometimes I went to bed and spend hours watching TV, and if I stop to turn over, it marks as light sleep.
Thank you again, from now on I can measure better my sleep and some other features.

Quiet time till next alarm feature?

What's the equivalent of Android's quiet mode in OPX? I want to be able to toggle the piority interruptions only when I go to bed but it should automatically switch back to normal when the alarm goes off. If I use the slider, I've to manually toggle it back to normal when I wake up. The marshmallow version has this function..
I TOTALLY agree, this function is a necessity ! Some have said that the quiet hours would be confusing with the alert slider; well it's not a problem for iPhone users !? It's a stupid over-sight, and I'm sure could be fixed with a couple of hours of programmer time. Come on OnePlus, don't spoil a good phone for a tiny ammount of effort.
