"Poof" like app for Android ?

On my iPod Touch 4G, I really like the 'Poof' app available in Cydia. It allows the app icon to disappear from the springboard. You can type the app name in search bar and it appears (You can turn that off too).
Is there any similar app available for Android ? I searched alot but haven't found one.
I am running JellyBean 4.1.2 CM10 tytung's ROM on my HD2.
i'm running cm10.1 with apex launcher. I just hide icons of apps I don't want to show in my app drawer and then use the google search bar at the top of the screen to find hidden apps by typing their name in or saying open "app name".

I tried Apex Launcher, it was slow and consumed more battery than CM10's default launcher Trebuchet. You running it on HD2 ?
Trebuchet is getting a 'hide apps' feature soon too. The maker of Trebuchet posted it on his Google+ page along with a load of other features.

Use 'hide it pro' app from play store to hide anything from your device. It's also available on the ios app store
Sent from my HTC Salsa C510e using xda app-developers app
Installed Hide It Pro but didn't worked for me. Now installed Nova Launcher, and now I am able to hide apps. Plus its very fast and smooth than any other launcher.
Thanks for the help guys.

App icons missing from homescreen

When i'm in the system (non-oui) launcher and i drag an icon of a system app to the top to remove it, i get an error that it can't be removed. However the icon still disappears from the homescreens for some apps. The app is still visible in the app manager in settings and an icon can be added to the oui interface. The app isn't disabled
Can anyone tell me how i can get all invisible app icons back in my homescreens? I have a 1gb/8gb 2100mhz developers edition model with the latest stock software.
As a temporary solution i've installed an app drawer app...

In app manager find the launcher and clear its data.this simply refresh the launcher and make it create lost icons again.

You mean icons in app drawer?

No, I mean in the apps session. I ended up being able do it with an app specific option. But if anybody knows if (and how) it can be made through system options, it still could be helpful.
if you mean to hide in setting>app section then you can freeze the app and i dont think you have any way to hide it or make it a system app so that i will be shown only in app apps section not in downloaded app
You can make any app a system app
In ROM Toolbox by jrummy you press on the app in app manager and one of the options is to make it a system app (you might need to swipe the options to see that one)
Once it is a system app it won't show up in downloaded apps, will be in safe mode, and you can disable it

Auto-hide Navbar when launching widescreen apps

Is it possible to auto-hide the navbar if I start a widescreen game/app?
Maybe with a xposed module.
In the Z2 stock rom the navbar hides when I start an app.
I'm using CM11.

Thx again for your helpful answer (like in the eXistenZ Rom thread) but I think I'm using the wrong module now.
I've tried a module called "Immerse Me", this is my solution, but activates in vertical screen too without open any apps.
The other module called "App Settings" is to annoying to setup some permissions for every single app.
You got a screenshot of the correct app and name? Or better a link

I use d620r, v20a stock lp with stock launcher. I'm getting duplicate shortcuts in drawer for google play movies (updated system app) and viper4android( system app). Tried reinstalling, but it is the same. After uninstalling, one shortcut remains and if i try to open it says "application not installed". What can I do?
