Nav bar color change app on V30 Oreo? - LG V30 Questions & Answers

I have used Navbar Apps for dynamic change navbar color.
It used to work fine on my V30 Nougat.
After updated to Oreo, it does not work well.
Some apps works (like email app Nine or Samsung Browser), but most apps just follow the LG theme color.
I tried this app on my Nexus 5 with Oreo (Lineage) and it works perfect.
I think the LG Theme kinda blocks it. It orverrides changing color.
I tried other xposed apps for changing navbar color but did not work.
Does anyone know the solution?

Could always try a launcher like Nova Launcher or a theme engine like Substratum

I am using Nova (with Prime).
I checked Substratum Theme engine, but looks like they do not support Oreo well.
Thank you for the suggesting tho. :good:

Gravity O only does static color, not dynamic change by color of the apps.
I also tried some apps in xposed, but none of them works...
on the other phones like Pixel works fine tho.
This is only about LG Theme problem on Oreo.

[MOD][Xposed][4.4+] Translucent Style

Requires Xposed Framework by rovo89. Special thanks to him!
Change the style of status and navigation bar when in “Translucent mode”!
You don't have to be bind to the KitKat gradient if you are on a AOSP ROM, and also you don't have to be bind to any ROM manufacturer's implementation of it!
As long as the implementation is close to the AOSP version, this module can easily replace it to one of the 11 styles available in this module (maybe there are coming more in the next time).
The currently available styles are:
KitKat gradient
Customizable gradient
Full transparency
Android “L” style (a solid, a bit darker colour)
Sense 6 style (like Android “L”, a bit lighter)
Customizable solid color
HTC Sense 5 Style
“CarBlend” style (use only with darker backgrounds, otherwise it's hard to see the icons)
“Halo” and “Bracket” gradient (gradient with curvature)
“Cutter” style
Sony Xperia style
Please, feel free to tell me if you have any suggestions which styles I should add.
Download from Xposed Repository:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.woalk.apps.xposed.translucentstyle
This module does nothing but exchanging the overlay for translucent system bars.
Read the thread a bit, and you will find many people thinking other things, and you will find the solution for it faster than you think, if you think this is a bug or something.
Without saying you should understand that this only works on KitKat (4.4+), and that the translucent mode has to be enabled to see the changes.
If it does not work with your ROM:
Please post a link to the ROM you're using. It should be a ZIP file (or any other typical compressed file like Tarball, RAR, ...) I can investigate.
If there is none, consider uploading or linking to your SystemUI.apk and every *.apk file in your /system/framework directory.
Then I'll look into it and check if it is possible to expand the implementation of this module to your ROM's SystemUI.
Should work with the following ROMs:
All near-AOSP-based ROMs (CyanogenMod, Google Editions, ...)
HTC One M7 4.4+ and M8 Stock-based ROMs
LG G3 Stock-based ROMs
Samsung TouchWiz-based 4.4+ ROMs
Sony Xperia 5.x ROMs
Known bug:
Xperia style on xxhdpi devices.
Works perfectly fine together with Tinted Translucent Status Bar, making TTSB's design changes way more unique!
Have fun with it.

Disabling high-end graphics is wrong, I think, then after that every translucency is also deactivated...
Does it automatically detect status bar colours?
Great idea, But how this module works? I selected android L style, but in the apps the statusbar is always black...

OK, I got it ..
but status bar only transparent on launcher, on apps it goes black again ..
about the android L, could you added colour gradient so the status bar change to a slightly darker gradient from apps action bar ?
or this module only aimed at translucency ?

Don't confuse, this is not the functionality of this module.
What you're looking for is Tinted Translucent Status Bar which I linked in the OP.

First paragraph: If you want this, check my other module TTSB (link in the OP or in my signature), there you can enable it on apps also.
Or check the module "Force Translucent KitKat".
Both can be combined with Translucent Style module.
Second paragraph, first question: select "KitKat lighter gradient", or am I misunderstanding something?
@Woalk this module is working with ttsb but doesn't with tsb, can you fix it?

No. TSB overwrites any usual system settings of system bars, which Translucent Style also is (TSB's source code calls it "fake gradient" what its drawing when the window is translucent - it's not the default implementation). That's why I don't like TSB.
I'm sorry.

I also did that before I had enough experience to code it myself.
And it would be very nice to have a TouchWiz user here, so maybe I can expand the "working with" section. Please tell me your experience and provide a SystemUI.apk if it does not work for now.
Marvellous - thank you very much
Solved my problem of having a gradient which i couldn't get rid of.
Thank you
Works wonderfully on LG G2 with G3 rom

I'm looking for theme on substratum that can make the notification bar and settings and so on black. is there such a theme that exists as of now?

well most apps work and technically the themes work on the settings menu and such but they get missaligned.

On stock, if you apply a theme, the power menu becomes broken. If you try and pull up the menu, it soft restarts.

Ah too bad
The only theme I've found working on my Axon 7 is Material Glass, but it's not perfect, for example in some sub menu in the phone's settings, I am unable to read some options (like in optimize apps) the font and the background are the same color...
I get no issue with the power button.
Every other theme fails to compile.
Swift black works on everything except Quick Settings and Settings. No theme will theme MiFavor itself as it does not have OMS support.

POCO Launcher

POCO Launcher is surprisingly simple and elegant — at least, for Xiaomi. It might look simple, but it packs in plenty of options, including things as detailed as different transition animations, sort of like Nova Launcher. The app drawer is accessible via a convenient and typical upward swipe, and apps are organized by type into categories like communication and entertainment.
The setup process is straightforward, and there are a surprising number of individual settings to explore, though it doesn't hold a candle to things like Nova Launcher when it comes to sheer customization options. Presumably, it's also in active development, so we should see more features landing soon.
Unfortunately, we can't download it over on the Play Store since the beta program registration is currently full. However, we can download it from APK Mirror .

I would like to see a dark theme in it... But all of MIUI has light theme..
I would have loved to see an option to resize the icons, did not find it through the setting so far, wonder if it is available yet.

It depends on the theme that you have installed in your MIUI-powered phone. For example "Geometry Black" that I have in my Mi5 is dark everywhere. In general, the default themes that xiaomi phone have are light-themed.
I don't know what is the similar theme for Poco and if this theme is compatible with it as I don't have it yet.

geometry black is available in themes and it tuns background o black for settings and all. The app drawer still stays white tough, which defeats its purpose. It more for MIUI & not optimised for "MIUI for POCO"
Just moved to Nova for a two reasons:
*no option to set grid sizes ( desktop and app drawer).
*Nova teslaUnread add on solves (at least temporary) lack of notification problem in notification bar.
*ability to change color/transparency of app drawer background.

By this do u mean the unread count badge on home page icons or does Nova give u notification in the status bar.
Even Poco gives unread badge just not the counts.

Yes, I meant badges and sadly is doesn't work properly for some apps. maybe I missed this option on poco launcher. But still grid adjustment is nesasary.
Yeah, it's great, but I would like to have 4 icons in a row with bigger icons, such as in iOS.
Also, some kind of live or scrollable wallpapers support would be nice.
Individual change of icons such as in Nova Launcher, too.

It's basically the same miui launcher with the added app drawer
its there a way to change the navigation bar color scheme, for some reason on dark apps the navigation bar below its all white its horrible
Something funny i noticed with Poco launcher.
Locking homescreen layout should mean no icon/widget can either be added to or removed from the homescreen.
But apparently, after you lock homescreen layout in settings, you can still add an app shortcut to the homescreen but you can't add a widget!
Just updated to latest Poco launcher, was the word on the header at the app drawer before?
No, it wasn't.
Did you update from PlayStore?
Post some impressions, please. Is it OK or is it buggy?

MIUI Accent Color

Any idea how can we change the blue accent color in MIUI 11 Android 10?
I was wondering the same thing. I found an option in the developer options but unfortunately it doesn't seem to work.

But what about the settings app which is not affected.

Question Am I missing something

In trying to find a system wide accent color changer, for neon green, does this not exist? I hate the ai colors and powdery colors
"But Debbie, pastels?"
Never liked Material Design especially the colors.
Android 12 extensions module from @kdrag0n allows you to change main theme color.

If you're rooted you can simply use Substratum Lite and your theme of choice to change to a proper accent color and other cool stuff like prettier system icons or QS tiles or getting rid of that annoying grey background everywhere and make it black instead
