AOSP EXTENDED (oreo) NEEDED - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The Nubia Z11 is pretty awesome to have fun with and capable to do great things.. but the lack of dev support pushing me to throw it in a cupboard.
I know devs are super cool here on xda and probably need a little motivation to build a new rom for this legend of past.
A humble request to our talented devs to just take a look at this poor little thing and make it a Legend.. Again.

On nouget based ROMs the GPU performance is quite bad compared to the marshmallow ROMs. Probably cause of the outdated drivers ??

Using it as secondory device n Dont play games a lot on it so i dint find any major graphic lag.. though app switching/opening/closing and scrolling are pretty fast with miui.
If only battery would perform better(like 6-7 hours of sot) i'd used it as my primary phone.

I'm running AmberHome 1.1 on my T, no issues at all. Didn't even need to do any additional setup. Just don't forget to take a full ROM backup before flashing anything, just in case.

What about web browsing and games?

Im running AOKP rom 4.0.4 ics platform. Runs very smooth many options to customize. Google search AOKP rom or visit theunlockr for p500s. Many roms to choose from. Many are dealing with GB "gingerbread" 2.3.3 thru 2.3.7. Some are ICS styled. Always remember to back-up your data. Repect to all these Devs for their work.

I never had the chance to try out megatron v2 due to the lack of sources i have to download it. I have over 20 roms on my sdcard but cant find that one to test out. Any idea where a good place is to download and test it.

Going through withdrawl...

Where would be the best place to offer up $100 or start a donation thread maybe, to the first dev who can bring a fully functioning cm7 to the rezound. I know cm9 is in the works but from what I've seen I just like cm7 better. Seems to run faster and snappier. I just switched from Sprint to Verizon and had the EVO shift, which some how was waaaaay faster than the rezound. sure it was running cm7 overclocked to 1.6ghz on an extended battery. but Jesus it never so much as hiccupped whilst doing anything. and that extended battery would go for days. As a device the rezound could be amazing, but as of now I'm losing my marbles over how sluggish it is. my sisters Droid X runs cm7 as well and while not getting higher benchmarks like my shift it still has a smoother overall experience for non graphic intensive stuff.

I would play with it, for a bit.
but I'd much rather just play with an ICS de-sensed ROM. ASOP dialer and all that is cool on rezound.
cant remember where i seen it but wasnt there a good chance we could get a AOSP/CM9 rom once HTC releases ICS offical for the Rezound? dont they release the kernel code or something like that?

The source will help with kernels. Once we get a working RIL we will have cm7 or cm9.

Im skeptical too but it is being worked on although im not sure how much time has been put into it? Droidvicious is supposedly working on miui and the ril.
So i thought I wasn't a noob cause I've been reading these forums for quite some time, but what is an RIL? Also I'm nearly certain the GB Kernel source has been released for some time. Hence why I was quite serious about giving $100 to a working cm7 port. I figured it would be on the easy side for our uber awesome dev's and at least we could get some aosp love and what-not.

[Q] Fastest Stable Rom - for mother in law :)

So I gave my mother in law my old galaxy note and need to set her up with someting as fast and stable as possible.
Do you have any recommendations I can try? I plan to try at least 2 roms over the weekend to have her choose.
Stability is cruical, then speed.
Right now the phone has the 4.2.2 stock debloated rom on it and it gets bogged down heavily after running for a while. Something without touchwiz would be ideal, though I'm open to going back to 4.1.2 stock if that is stable and fast.
Thanks in advance for any recommendation. I've moved on to another device so I have no idea how the development in this forum has been over the last 8 months or so.
Thanks,
Logic

Last stock firmware was 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean), not 4.2.2. Most of the built ROM's for this device have been stable depending on your requirements. CM based ROMs have speakerphone and Bluetooth issues and no MHL. Also Samsung apps only work on stock. If this is of no concern you have many options. (Dozens-CandyKat maybe or last stable PacMan or AOKP) If these do concern you, go with Nebula, Padawan or my favourite, BlackStar BlackJellyv2. If you want a ROM that keeps it simple but gives iphoney type class, Miui may be your pick. Speed and stability,....possibly uXylon with uber kernel (another favorite). Most of us are flash addicts and it's hard to settle on just one.

I'll second this, I haven't found one that's close for stability as blown fuses aokp from march. Especially if Bluetooth is important.

As ALL ROMs are fastest and most stable for the members using them, I recommend heavy research in the ROM threads before even considering changing someone else's ROM on their phone. Also as suggested, unless you plan on being tech support for the life of the phone, absolute stock is the best to avoid any update hassles.
XDA does not allow Best ROM threads so please read through the development threads.
Thanks and sorry

Ive been running it since late last night (when the op posted it). I haven't had any issues though I really haven't done much.
Got mine all set up. Seems to be running nicely. I will probably miss some LP stuff, but with KK, I know everything works, and I can use Xposed again.

Nice to see another ROM. Is it themed at all? Since its a first release I'm guessing its stock.

Not themed, but since it's KK, you can use Xposed.
Noticed that the Verizon bypass, for hotspot, is not active in the ROM. Those of us still sporting unlimited data will need to install it ourselves.
I just loaded this on my g3. I like the look and speed of the lg ROM feel with a twist. So many apps have been removed, it makes this ROM feel as fast as a lollipop rom.
Thanks for posting the link. I hope more people check it out.

Yup. Nitro has been doing Eclipse for years. First experience I had with it was on my Droid X2. It made a world of difference on that phone.
After my Droid RAZR MAXX, I haven't been able to run it. Currently, I'm still on stock and having no issues, but each day, it's getting harder and harder to NOT flash Eclipse. I might just give in today. LOL!
However, Nitro is very good with his ROMs. It's nice to see him supporting this phone.

Best Kernal and or Rom for SOT

Best rom or kernel for screen on time?
I might just go back to Exodus, sot is alright and there's no bugs
what do you guys think? or should I go back to stock and install boeffla?
I have been using DU UNOFFICIAL and have been getting close to 6 SoT.

I can't get a Good SOT on any CM ROM, i'm on DU (i know it's based on AOSP) and i have like 2H30-3h SOT and sometimes much less and i have to charge it again the evening to use it the night. I use Greenify, Amplify(i blocked wakelocks, alarms) and i have boeffla kernel and a battery profile
I think i gonna try SkyDragon 5.0 ROM, when i was on this rom on LolliPop i had a good battery life but personalization and themes are missing (I don't really like Layers themes)

you might have mistyped about the 6 hr sot because I used DU for around a month and know how it performs and about its battery life. even though I apply all tweaks on DU which I apply on any other rom to get the best sot which I get(5.5-6hrs) DU is unable to give that result and even with a custom kernel. I merely get around 2.5-3 hrs Max which is hell bad for a user who gets around 6 everday. so for time being DU is not a daily driver. if you want to play with the rom and check some cool setting then go forward, enjoy them, rom is blazing fast but when it comes to battery life you'll always regret your decision of flashing DU. that's what I would like to say.

you know the best rom to stick with right now is the stock with stock kernel itself. I tried every combination of roms and kernels but at the end of the day I came back to stock oxygen OS. exodus is also a good rom but instead of solving bugs from the rom the devs are investing more time in tweaking the performance of it which is already at its peak and best out there in any rom for op2 but the end of the day stock has no other alternative..
