Bluetooth controller for gaming - LG V30 Questions & Answers

Hi all. I don't post often, but was hoping someone with a V30 could chime in here.
I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for pairing a bluetooth controller to this phone. I've read reviews on a bunch of different brands as well as a few old articles for pairing a PS3 controller (I already own) with varying results. My phone is completely stock. I plan on mainly playing PS1 games through FPSE, but also wouldn't mind being able to play other non-emulated games as well.
I've read this article on Android Authority and think its a good start, but was hoping other V30 owners here could share their experiences.
Thanks in advance.

I use xbox one controller just enable bluetooth and connect to it

8bitdo NES30 Pro is a fantastic quality and priced controller. Great phone mount attachment available as well. Performs great with the phone, have been using since my last Android

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't have an XBOX controller, but I'm gonna give the 8bitdo controllers a chance. The one Yachter99 suggested looks awesome, but is a bit overkill for my current needs. Instead I ordered a 8bitdo Zero seen here:

If it works well, I'll splurge for the 8bitdo NES30 Pro later on. With the clamp, how does it feel when mashing buttons? Does the display wobble much?

Best Way to watch movies

hey guys quick question. whats the best app for watching movies and can we watch movies through streaming as well
The best app I have found for watching movies, is "Q QPlayer", and it is free on the "Market". Then, the best way to watch the movies, as I have found, is to have the G-Tablet positioned for maximum viewing in a mini stand. Targus makes a clear, heavy, poly compound stand, specifically for the iPad. It works great for my G-Tablet! It has a small footprint, and securely supports the tablet in either portrait or landscape mode. It has two different slotted viewing angles to choose from-and it is only around $15 at most office supply stores! I also plug in a pair of amplified speakers for richer sound!
As for streaming movies, I subscribe to, and use many different sites, and with my Wi-Fi connection, the G-Tablet performs flawlessly!
Needless to say, after rooting, and putting Vegan 5.1 on my tablet (Tried Ginger 7.0, but didn't like the video driver issues,), I am so happy I didn't spend twice as much on an iPad!

Android Bluetooth Gamepad

Hi! I'm looking for advice for a bluetooth gamepad that could be coupled with a tablet as a mobile gaming platform to be connected to TVs. Simple right? Well, I'm picky. The Wii mote isn't a good controller for real games like shooters and racing sims, so its out. The Nyko Playpad seemed great at first, but it has terrible range ... anything over 10 feet from the tablet and the latency feels like its over 500ms. Years ago I played with the PS3 controllers, but at least then you had to use the Sixaxis app and it was ... not consistent enough (in that regard the Nyko controller is much better).
Does anyone know of one that is all around solid and offers the typical dual stick, 4 button gamepad, and is bluetooth?
Thanks.
I would like one as well, but was unable to find one to work on android and windows. I will say that you can hook up the classic controller to the wii mote and play like that. I did this with 2 players on my razr (when it was new) playing golden eye. It was really a pain squinting for that little screen but it worked really well with the classic controllers hooked to the wiimote.

Which Controller works best with Android

Hi there,
I want to custom build a controller case for a tablet (like the Wikipad but just for the tablet of my choice) and for that I need a controller, which works with Android, which I can disassemble and build into a custom case.
Because I am a big fan of the Nintendo D-Pad I wanted to use a Wii U pro Controller but I heard it is not that easy to make it work with Android. Therefore I need another controller for doing it. Because many games are retro and 2D Games the D-pad must be really working really good. As a PS3-player the PS3 controller could therefore be an option.
But even as a PS3 play I think the analog triggers and the sticks are not that great and therefore I would prefer one with much better D-pad than the xbox controller but which better sticks and triggers than the PS3 one.
What would you suggest?

Note 3 Pro Screencast Quality?

Hi I just got one of these EasyCast dongles :
http://www.gearbest.com/networking-communication/pp_194421.html
My question is what kind of quality should I expect from the Note 3 ?
I just tried it and it's pretty bad, it shows the desktop but at a very low resolution, nowhere near 1080p, colours are awful, videos play choppy and have garbled compression, games lag, colours also look crap and have the same intermittent pixelated garbled look.
Am I expecting too much from this ? There is a 5g version would that be any better ?

Currently I just use it for casting my screen when editing files and moving things around, I have a mouse and keyboard paired.
Beyond that the quality is abysmal.
Is there anything I can do to improve ?
thx
After a bit of digging around I found this :

That's exactly the same issue I'm having, the consensus seems to be they are utter crap.
Ok, looks like I answered my own question, these things are only good for browsing and showing desktop, Airplay is unusable.
"Chromecast-lookalike 'junk' dongles"
Got a Chromecast 2 and it's quite good with redmi note 3 pro. Little lag is present and it's not for the gaming but YouTube photos and casting movies with bubbleupnp
Yeah, I've been reading up on it all today, they all have a significant amount of lag.
The best "mirroring" device seems to be the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter V2, it's straight forward and mirrors with the least lag of all the devices on the market.

If that's the case, there doesn't seem to be any currently on the market that are fast enough for mirroring games, but this would save me having to plug my hdmi and configure the tv every time I wanted to watch a movie on my pc.
As usual it seems the chinese have infested the market with cheap clones that don't come close to what the advertising says, gonna have to dig around for a few days.
Get a TV box and gamepad and you're done. Some very good boxes for approx $60. I gave up on my Chromecast and bought two tv boxes.
Yeah, I'm on the verge of ordering a MEMOBOX MX MAX

£46 delivered.
I hadn't realized how far these things had improved.

Can you recommend device for race car data logging

I've just purchased SoloStorm (can't post links, sorry. search for "petreldata solostorm") along with a dedicated GPS module. I already have a GoPro HERO 7 for video which I would like to use for video overlay. As I've read on PetrelData's website, they do recommend a reasonably beefy machine to handle this video overlay in realtime.
So, I'm coming to you for tablet recommendations. The tablet will be used for NOTHING other than logging/reviewing data and footage. As I understand it, here's what I'll need for that:
Bright screen (I'll be doing this outdoors)
Good performance, particularly GPU for the hardware-accelerated video rendering
Long battery life
Things that don't matter: weight, thickness, keyboard, camera quality, speakers.
I've heard a number of people using Fire tablets for this, but I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for a different tablet that might suit my needs well.
I found a Lenovo Yoga Book 10.1 on eBay for $140 with a busted keyboard... looks like a great deal. Google says Lenovo has completely abandoned the device though, which seems like a bit of a bummer. Not sure if this would be a problem for me or not.
