Camera2 API and EIS - Oppo Realme 1 Questions & Answers

Hi, will it get Camera2 API support & EIS soon? At least in Android P?
Or can we enable/add Camera2 API support & EIS in the phone?

Maybe it isn't possible if we can root first

Their reply regarding this matter,
As per your inquiry regarding Edge Detection, we have taken your feedback and shared the same with the relevant team so that they can look into your suggestions.
For Camera inquiry, we would like to inform you that your device supports camera 2 API.

Without unlocked bootloader it cant be possible. I heard somewhere that gcam Doesn't work with mtk soc.

Moto Z Camera2 API support level

I'm currently thinking about getting a 2nd backup phone in addition to my LG V10. One of the things important to me is the Camera2 API support level of the device as I'm keen on using pro video recording apps that utilise this API for more advanced controls (manual exposure etc). I've already made some inquiries about the Sony Xperia X in the corresponding forum here but one of the alternatives I'm considering is the Lenovo Moto Z. There are two free apps on the PlayStore that can test the Camera2 API implementation of an Android device: "Camera2 probe" and "Camera2 Probe" (sorry can't link as I'm still a newbie). Would anyone with a Moto Z be so nice to quickly run one of the two probing apps and tell me about the 'Hardware Level Support Category' of this phone? (categories are: 'Legacy', 'Limited', 'Full' and 'Level 3').
Thanks in advance!

From what I learned in another thread the Z Play does not have full Camera2 API support. Therefore it will either be "Limited" or "Legacy". Depending on the device though "Limited" might be enough if you are only after longer shutter speeds for photos but I can't say for sure. You might wanna find my thread in the Z Play forum (title is something like "Does FilmicPro run on the Z Play") and ask someone there to run a Camera2 probe app.

camera2 api?

Does the mediapad m5 support camera2 api? Can someone check using this app here called manual camera compatibility? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.vipek.camera2_compatibility_test&hl=en
Says compatible with everything on the app you suggested. The actual data is hardware level: limited. So it got most manual thinks besides flash related things. I'd suggest camera2 probe for better analysis
Tested with the m5 10 pro

Required Harware Support Level for Google Camera

Hi,
I have Blackview BV9800Pro with stock Android 9 and Magisk root.
I have tried to install all GCam apps from "last 30 updates" and "suggested versions" sections on https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/ website with no luck.
I am thinking maybe the Camera2 api harware support level is not high enough?
I downloaded Camera2 Probe app amd it says that I have FULL Camera2 api hardware level support, but I noticed that there is Level3 as well.
Is FULL hardware level support enough foe GCam to work or Level 3 is required?

EIS on a10

Hello, is there any way to fix the electronic image stabilization on Android 10 April patch? The update seems stable but I really need the eis feature. Maybe any way with adb or any camera app supporting eis like on stock?
