I just saw that the Honor Play and 9i are announced and they have EMUI 8.2. I saw a few improvements in the software so I am curious if we get EMUI 8.2 too? Also in EMUI 8.2 the Quick Setting background is white! It really looks nice.

They didn't even bother to upgrade my phone to EMUI 8.1 so I don't expect EMUI 8.2 anytime soon. Really jealous about MIUI 10.

Yeah, maybe Huawei didn't do a EMUI 8.1 update because they want go straight to EMUI 8.2. But with the visual changes in EMUI 8.2 I am really looking forward to EMUI 9.0 Android P

Sorry I don't have a link that settles all the changes in EMUI 8. 2. I just looked up some videos about the Honor Play and Honor 9i and they talked also a bit about EMUI 8.2. So just look up some videos about these devices and you'll find out, mate!
The Huawei nova 3i also has 8.2 emui and A.I cameras. Weird the higher up model doesn't have 8.2

I don't know, but I can tell you the Honor folks in the US have repeatedly said "The 12th of Never"...so were I you, find a nice 7.1 Lineage based ROM and enjoy!
In one of the other threads, Huawei has indicated that there will be no emui 5 for Honor 5x, and therefore no Nougat. Huawei cited that google failed to provide them with an OS update:

Hello, is there any news about MIUI 9? Will our device even get the update? It would be awesome to see official Nougat on our device with MIUI skin over it

We Will get Miui 9 but i don't think Nougat
No nougat for Note 3 the model is stopped manufacturing

Shouldn't we be more excited about the bump to android 9 which I hope we will before the end of the year?
It's 99% sure that there will never be an 8.1 update. Since EMUI 9 beta based on Android 9.0 is already in public testing and will most likely be released before the end of the year.
Since Emui 9.1 has been confirmed for Honor 10 (with open beta already live) I wanted to ask if anybody has seen real improvement over Emui 8.1 and 9.0, specially regarding memory management.

Jist got,9. 1, i tested it on benchmark, 9.0 was 112000 with 9.1 130-160k and when in fridge 210k and 250k
Google services not work on Honor 8x JSN-L00A China version emiu 9.
Is there a solution please?

No solution at the moment, I downgraded my 8X back to Emui 8.2, at least the apps are working fine on it
I downgraded to emui 8.2 too, but that didnt work for me...
Does anyone know on next update will that be fixed or they did it on purpose?
