[MOD][MAGISK] Enable live wall papers for stock Rom
Tested on stock rom v309
Instructions:
Magisk:
1. Download and flash in Magisk (through app or twrp)
2. Reboot
Non magisk - easy to figure out from the folder structure
How to test:
Download Muzei and activate
Or download google wallpaper from play store and try the daily wallpaper option
Or try the Pixel 2017 wallpapers by pranav pandey
PS: first time it may crash (probably due to no default live wall paper i guess) but try Muzei it will work fine.

Nope. This requires pushing files to /system. So root is essential.
You could try klwp from play store. I heard it works but not tried.
finally something worked for me. thanks a lot!
Is it just me or this method no longer works with the latest 311 update? Tried to delete and reinstalled but the picker crashed everytime i select live wallpaper.

yesterday for some testing i had unrootedd, relocked and flashed the stock 247, after finishing the setup i received first update ie:305, then after reboot it directly prompted me to update to 316, skipping 309-311, i had successfully updated to 316, but then tried to root it again and ended up soft bricking my device. Then i had flashed official 309 and rooted properly, then i tried to update my rooted phones stock rom to 311 following this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/as...to/rom-update-stock-firmware-keeping-t3808269
and successfully updated, retaining root, then i had flashed this live wall enabler mod and its working on 311 also. But now no more prompt for 316.
One thing i want to share with everyone is that Asus still did not fixed this wallpaper picker crash issue in 316 update ,

Live wall paper mod is working fine with 316
Just tested.
Btw don't think Asus will fix it natively any time soon. They removed the functionality some time back as it causes lags.

Made from UK Vodafone Latest 14.4.A.0.118
Flash Thru TWRP
If coming from any 118 (4.4.4) version
1>Boot into recovery
2>Wipe - DATA / System / Dalvik / Cache
3> Install ROM
4>Reboot ( TWRP may ask to root the ROM after installation, just don't select it)
5>Initial boot will take some time , so please wait
6> After full first setup Root with Latest Easyroot V9.0
7> Install Latest NUT's Dual Recovery (I prefer version 121)
If coming from other versions than 118 (not tested)
Repeat steps as above (1-3)
Don't Reboot and don't select TWRP root option - Power off device
Flash any stripped.ftf (try 118 or 108) thru Flashtool
Now continue from above step 5-7

Yeah It needs to be removed>>System/app/browser.apk

OK I Teasted flashing original stock ftf and the issue is same with it also - changing background colour only , Please installing XPOSED and install - [SONY]Xperia Theme - Xposed Module[4.1.x+]

I just wrote this this morning and finished testing in my phone. All is working fantastic!
This mod is to bring back the Lens Flare Effect.
Here are just a few previews and the rest are viewed from the installer in the update coming soon.

I have included 11 different choices all installed via Aroma Installer from custom recovery of your choice (I used TWRP). This mod does require that your rom has "init.d" support as this does need a script called at every boot to work. AGAIN CALLS SCRIPT UPON EVERY REBOOT. The script depending on each phone should take longer than 30-45 seconds. Basically flash the mod reboot and the next time you turn on the phone the effect will be active.

Instructions for installation -
*Make a NANDROID ALWAYS AND OFTEN when modding your system!
*ROM that supports init.d script
*download and check md5 is good

*pick the effect you want (sorry I don't have the previews for the installer set up yet)
*reboot and let the script work it's magic and by time you turn your phone back on a surprise will be waving at you.
*hit the thanks button

Thank you for the input. I am finding that only 75% of the various roms options available are reading and executing the script properly. Some are failing because of no sqlite3 in xbin. I'm looking further into the this.
It can be manually set using a sqlite editor and changing the value for "lockscreen ripple effect=2" in the data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
@stangdriver44 can you make it Mobile Odin Pro OTA/update flashable??? That way it wont trip knox and wont require custom recovery

it's not possible with the use of Aroma Installer due the fact of the User Interface during installation in recovery. If you know which option you want I can take a look at getting something for you. You will have to decide which Style as you will be updating the system with only one option.

Alendr's custom room uses aroma installer and it installs fine using mobile odin pro. Nvm I'll look and let you know which style. It's hard to choose atm

Check the OP. Posted an update with an attempt to make this work for more people. Let me know. FYI the size has grown so a lot because it now has preview option in recovery.

It also crashes on latest RR rom, based on CM12.1. It should be a general problem...
As the title says,I have moded stock OP Launcher to have transparent hotseat,(dock), for apps in homescreen.
Launcher apk is pulled from latest beta for OP3T, I belive it should work on OP3 also but not tested.
Instructions:
Use some root file explorer (I use Solid)
Go to root/system/app/OP_Launcher_aosp and rename existing apk (OP_Launcher_aosp.apk.bak)
Copy OP_Launcher_aosp to root/system/app/OP_Launcher_aosp
Set permissions to rw-r-r
Reboot and enjoy.
If you get stuck on boot for some reason:
Go to TWRP and mount system
Go to file manager and browse to system/app/OP_Launcher_aosp
Delete current apk and than remove .bak from original apk
Reboot.

The version I uploaded is 2.1
I can't install it as an upgrade for my current version.
Could you sign the apk with the same key as the stock apk?
I tried signing it and still didn't worked.
I can't replace the apk in the system because I'm unrooted.

I have noticed that too yesterday...I'll try to find the problem ,but it's only 2 lines of code in smali to achieve this transparency...so relay don't know what is causing this

It should work normally ,try to take log . There is only 2 lines of code to affect transparency...nothing else . All stock. It works for me on dark theme.

I recently did a factory reset( so my device should be fresh). Beside this launcher mod, the only other thing that I think will mess with the system is Magisk, but all of my modules doesn't seem like it's going to conflict with any display settings at all.
Wonder if Im running an outdated launcher or not?

Everything is working fine on my end with the launcher running my OOS ROM in the past have had issues with changing wallpaper found a work around also with widgets in the side swipe widget area but after I go to main screen and allow one plus launcher to make widgets the white check box that's comes up u can put a widget to the side. Thanks for the launcher

Nope it won't work. They need to be force pushed as system apps and need some extra files.
An APK of these will not install over your previous version. Although some work.

Edit. Successful for me on second attempt. Make sure you restart after flashing "Flash before" zip then reboot to twrp and flash the ported apps.

The apps got installed in system/system/system/apps and priv apps lol.
It made another system folder in system
