How to use recovery features & firmware (eRecovery/dload/HWOTA/recovery) - Huawei MediaPad M5 Questions & Answers

I can turn this into a guide if we get the right info.
I have used DC-Unlocker to unlock bootloader and FRP.
I installed v20 Phh Generic System Image via fastboot flash system.
my FRP is locked now and bootloader unlocked, and oem unlock greyed out.
i am investigating a solution and maybe it can help others.
Recovery:
can flash updates if bootloader and frp is unlocked
eRecovery:
i can connect to wifi, but no firmware is found
DLOAD:
updates performed with vol down+up+power
using the update extractor i can get the UPDATE.APP from the official firmware (SHT-W09C432B151 (8.0.0.151) i think for me)
but UPDATE.APP is over fat32 4GB limit. so i cant put it on the SDCard - and im not sure if the recovery can read exFat.
i tried with both but they fail immediately.
placing the files in the internal storage with DLOAD folder seems to send update to 5% then fail.
HWOTA:
seems to be a method used on older devices - not sure if it will work to flash this device.
the sh. script seems fairly straightforward so maybe it can be modded to work with this device
Device: SHT-W09 M5 8.4 (eu)
Build Number: 8.0.0.151 (C432)
OS: Stock 151 with Phh GSI applied
ive never had a device this difficult to recover. samsung had odin to flash firmware, nexus 5/7/9 always had a way out - when i was building roms for moto xoom it wasnt this difficult.

Good luck man, it seems like when this thing bootloops, it activates some sort of defense mechanism that makes recovery particularly challenging.
I bootlooped after editing my vendor/build.prop file. DLoad method failed. Flashing partitions via fastboot failed. Stock recovery failed. TWRP became available, and I got it working...but no partitions would mount r/w. I paid to use Funky Huawei's unbrick tool, and it failed.
Funky Huawei's eRecovery method is basically all that worked for me. But I paid to use it (I still have a few weeks remaining on a pass).
These instructions, which don't involve payment to Funky Huawei, might or might not work:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/funky-huawei-erecovery-solution-100-t3620165

Thanks for the alternative method.
I tried with hisuite using firmware finder, it uses the same funky DNS server. When I start the process the download works fine then on hisuite it says installing, does nothing then fails. After I reboot (usb in pc, all 3 buttons) it shows a usb symbol - installing but hangs at 5% for ages.
I tried with a portable router with ERecovery and it did not work unfortunately still failed to get info

I had to result to funkyhuawei who have now added SHT-W09C432 to their system.
In the 30 days I have this I'm tdetermined to find alternative solutions to fix this issue like all other devices tend to have.
I battled it out with Huawei support and there's no chance of an frp key - at least first 3 attempts. Also tried to get them tonexplqin ERecovery but said it's for insiders only just for service repairs. They have no regard for helping developers.
I was trying to figure out where the file get stored on ERecovery so if we could adb push to it and hold vol down + up + power to recover the device. I found i could pull from /dload (not internal/externalsd) which contained firmware_update_dload.zip but when uncompressed e enwbti be referenced to Qualcomm chips.
Any ideas on patching the recovery or boot image to prevent frp lock?
I also tried to see if there is a way from adb (while OS is running) to flip the OEM unlock back to on but there's nothing in system/global/settings that represents that.
It's strange because frp should not lock if you log back into the same account.

Any conclusions why this metod isnt working? On older device this works everytime if you do it right but not on this device? is it a Oreo thing or is it because the UPDATE.APP is so big?

In my experience using the Huawei P9 the only time I was successful upgrading the firmware from the dload folder was when the firmware version ended with MF-PV (Public Version). Even though Huawei releases versions of the firmware without the MF-PV extension from what I read these versions are for testing purposes only.
In addition to my reply to you in the 8.0.0.163 firmware update thread there is a tool called HuRUpdater that has a similar upgrade procedure to the one I described when I upgraded the firmware on my SHT-AL09 from 151 to 163.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279

OK, thanks for this info, of course I thought that this device would be as easy to utdate then my much older M2-801L via dload which worked every time. And thanks for the tool tip, I'm looking into that thread as well :good:

Sorry for the late reply had some busy months!
So from what I remember it's because the UPDATE.APP was too big. I tried recreating the update.app without the non-essentials but I couldn't get it working.
Huawei support when I asked about how to update via recovery just kept saying it's only for technicians at Huawei so they won't help me in any way!

[EMUI 5.1] OTA Firmwares and Unbrick Phone method

Consider one day you upset the devil and your phone is bricked by him, lets try to revive the phone from hell (at your own risk) :

[TOOL] Huawei Multi-Tool v8 by Team MT by inside!out
TWRP Honor 7X img
Stage 1
Download from here everything you need for the procedure - Download Folder Link
I am testing it on my BND-L21 firmware from BND-AL10
Downloading firmware (from topic). Full firmware must be more than 1.5Gb, all smaller is just
OTA Updates to the system.
After that we must download Huawei-MultiTool (future MT) version 8.x.x (link topic)
and downloading custom recovery. We will use TWRP for Honor7x (link topic)
Last we must prepare OTG Cable, SD Card more than 4Gb. On first stage that's all.
Stage 2
Go to MT and reboot phone to Fastboot mode (while phone off, hold "Volume -" and power)
If you did all correctly, you will see in the down right side your number and "Fastboot".
Now go in MT to the Bootloader and check the status. If you have already unlocked, skip this.
If you have locked phone, you must have IMEI and Huawei account. (if not please unlock your bootloader via the Huawei site)
After that, go to Recovery menu and choose our TWRP image in "Custom recovery" section and
type "Recovery". IMPORTANT!!! DON'T FLASH ERECOVERY, I DON'T HAVE THIS IMAGE!!!
After flashing recovery, we must turn off our phone.
Now we must to prepare base system image. In archive we have UPDATE.ZIP file. extract this
file to custom folder and open "Unbrick" in MT and choose "extractor". Open our file in extractor
and click right mouse key on empty space, choose extract all... and choose custom folder to
extracting.
Go to the folder and copy file VENDOR.IMG to the SD-Card (or USB with OTG). Turn on your
device in Recovery mode (Volume + and power), choose Wipe and Wipe ALL partitions! After
doing this, go to Install and choose "Install img", go to the SD-Card, and install VENDOR.img to
VENDOR folder (Important!)
After installing reboot phone again to Fastboot mode and connect to PC.
Now we must download .zip update to your region. We need this for using LTE (4G) in your country + Localization.
After downloading open .zip archive with our CUST file. archive must be called update_BND-
YOUR-NUMBER_hw_YOUR- COUNTRY.zip
From this archive we must extract .img file from root folder. It can be called cust.img CUST.img
version.img etc.
if name different from CUST.img rename it and put to the extracted UPDATE.app folder.
Last Stage 3
In MT go to Unbrick, choose our unpacked system with our CUST file and we must have at least
4/5 checkbox. And just type "UNBRICK" and wait. NOTICE: at moment of extracting system.img
it will be about 10-15 minutes. It's not a freezing of PC)
After good installing in log you will see like "All ok" Just reboot phone and you will see low level
factory reset, or something else like formatting. After formatting phone will reboot to the system.
That's all

there is a procedure used by EU users to completely revive the phone using the OTA but the procedure is too long which i haven't tried yet and is completely for users who have dead phones for now and yes obviously there is no official firmware available for Honor 7x but the user from an EU forum revived his phone so it is possible from the images.
though i made this thread for users who want to update their firmwares and not the procedure to flash a stock firmware since there is not one available yet but i can point to the thread where this user posted the procedure if someone wants to try. PM me

There are teams who have unlocked a lot of stuff like flashing international FW,
flashing gapps on chinese fw, Automatic Call Recording, restoring the phone.
so i am in contact with them to make our phone better. lets keep our fingers crossed. :fingers-crossed:
i am waiting for firmware flashing to get it translated from one of the users.
This is the full recovery package right? Atleast for the Indian version?

They arent recovery packages. they are full OTA which can be flashed for updating.
but there is a process to compile them into making them stock firmware packages but due to the long procedure i didnt post it here. rather wait for official stock firmware package.

exactly what you want to do?
this is to update to the latest firmware. if you have the latest firmware you dont need it.
the multi tool is used to flash stock with a procedure which is only needed to return to stock or else theres no need for it for the most part..

1) ???
2) Not sure there is always a chance of bricking
3) Yes, if you don't know what you're doing. No if you're not going to be flashing anything.
4) You should be able to and also refer to #1.
5) None available
6) None available
7) You can't, no stock image released = no procedures to unbrick

1- can i upgrade the system at every update (when the device is rooted) with Firmware finder many times even if I don't recive the notification on the phone of the update (or if the device updater cannot find it)?
2-ok but if do all right steps you cannot brick the phone, no?
3-ok i only wanna unlock bootloader, flash twrp and root the phone. If I do all right steps there are no risks, no?
4-i don't understand it (in hisuite there s the option that says "Update device". With the device rooted can I update the phone with this software?)
5-ok but can I do one with a custom recovery, no?
6-ok so we just have to wait, no?
7-ok. Same thing of the - 6 (we have to wait for the UPDATE.APP for the 7x to be able to UNBRICK the phone in case it could happen, no?)
Sorry for my bad English and thanks for the answers?

1. yes you can if the app supported honor 7x with their firmware but it doesn't yet, use twrp
2. yes you can upgrade via flashing it in twrp
3. unlocking bootloader itself is dangerous let alone rooting since your waranty is gone since there is still no sign of official stock firmware
4. same as no. 1 ans
5. if u flashed twrp you can do your nandroid backup which can be later restored anytime so it will be obv on the phone at that time
6. manual or local update? in the op main post i guess? by opening the link?
7. Still no official firmware and the procedure i am aware of consists of turning the official chinese firmware into normal by changing settings and stuff which is a long procedure so probably if u brick, u r stuck until honor decides to release stock firmware
by the looks i guess you have no clue about phone flashing, its better you dont try anything until there are guides properly made for newbies. :silly:

I rooted my 7X(Al10) version successfully but while performing the reset, deleted the system file also by mistake. There is no TWRP backup. Is there any way to get the stock OS files again to flash in TWRP ? Or does anyone have a backup file they made that they can share? I tried Huawei e-recovery too, but that gets stuck at 'unable to get package info'. The people at the service centre can't think of any other method to restore the phone, except changing the motherboard. When is the official stock file expected to be available?

1. In the app firmware finder there are firmwares for the phone but how can I flash a official firmware (OTA I mean) if there are no one (or how can I flash a firmware finder Update)?
2. Same thing in -1 (I mean)
3. Ok. Now we have to wait the official stock firmware, no? (i don't understand this answer, please write it in another way)
4. I don't understand it
5. Okok (obv? Sorry I'm Italian hahaha)
6. It's not the same thing local or manual? Write it in another way please hahaha google translate doesnt help me?
7. Okok, So if I don't use your method I only have to wait that honor release the official stock firmware (UPDATE. APP). And for greater security it's better wait it before to root and unlock bootloader etc, no?
Anyway, I have an idea of what flashing is, in fact every device I have (they are all Samsung, so that's why I'm disoriented) is completely modified. The fact is that I dont have much experience (I'm 14 years old) with non-Samsung devices, in fact my honor 7x I received for Christmas and for the hurry and the want to modify it, I would like to know all these things.
Thank you

I would recommend everyone to not do experiments over your phone to try and root and flash random stuff..
they only have official chinese firmware for flashing so its better to wait for the official firmware for non chinese version.
the method which i know of to flash on the phone is for people with flashing knowledge cz the procedure is not simple and secondly even i have been flashing my phone for many years on various devices yet i havent got the guts to root this first honor device cz their partitions are different and somewhat secured so dont play with it.
wait for the official firmware for your respective devices. maybe they will straightaway launch the oreo firmware.

Unbrick Assistance Thread

Bricked your M5? Post here. I am one of three posters who have posted threads requesting assistance - we might as well create one thread where we can try and help each other.
My model? SHT-AL09 (C636). My story? I apparently made a bad change to my build.prop file, and had USB debugging disabled. I then probably dug myself a deeper hole trying to recover. I don't even get boot animation anymore. I'd happily pay someone to unbrick me.
The only potential progress I have made, is that I was able to install and successfully boot TWRP - although TWRP detects that I have no operating system installed and I am unable to mount any partitions except for my external SD card. Using TWRP's file manager, I can see that the system partition, for example, has not been entirely wiped, but many files seem to be missing. At the very least, TWRP allows me to turn the screen off without seeking to contantly reboot thereafter.
To install TWRP, I followed these instructions intended for Mate 9 owners:
duraaraa said:
This is TWRP to Mate 9/Android O, brought to you by FunkyHuawei.
It's just a preliminary build so I can't promise anything/everything will work! Keep that in mind. I'm not responsible if you brick your device.
EDIT: Does not work with Mate 10 series.
DOWNLOAD LINK:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B45NCsO2AL_1NEh2aDFLM3JlYkU
It works on the Android O build here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/FunkyHuawei/comments/75uwkd/october_12_first_official_android_o_beta_for/
and the official European beta.
To install:
First, have Android O running. Unlock the bootloader. Download the twrp image.
Then, run in fastboot mode:
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp_android_o_mate9_a1.img
Then, reboot holding volume up, and you've got TWRP!
Note: With the Android O update, it is no longer possible to flash the recovery2 partition. Furthermore, the names of the partitions have changed. Please keep that in mind, and don't mess around too much with TWRP, to be sure you don't brick your system!

Hmm ... I wanted to ask you whether you have the full OTA package for your device? So you should be able to extract all the partition images from there and to fastboot flash them. But I checked on HFF and I do not see a full OTA package matching your device yet.

I've tried flashing system.img/ramdisk.img from the c00 package. Maybe I have to wait for c636 firmware, or maybe I have to flash additional .imgs. I am pretty sure that the specs and hardware I have are the same as the c00.
I've tried flashing the entire update.zip file in TWRP...but as noted TWRP is unable to mount internal storage. I'm not sure if I need to wipe and reformat first. I also have no clue whether the TWRP build I installed is properly compatible with the device. I had nothing to lose by giving it a shot.

This will not work as the boot chain will be broken due to mismatching checksums. You need to have the correct images. To flash a OTA image you also need to have the standard recovery image installed ...
So...will someone correct please correct me if this is wrong?
If I were to flash a c00 oeminfo file, I could then install a c00 update.zip via dload folder?
Would c432 work as well (with a flashed oeminfo), even though the Euro hardware has different bands than my hardware?
There is now a full OTA on FF for C635.....still nothing for c636...
Finally, a full OTA is available for c636.
But the 'dload' method (update.app on an sd card) failed at 5%. And flashing ramdisk/recovery/erecovery/system images also failed.
Is this possibly because the OTA is B153, whereas my M5 was shipped B121?
(I hate to be that guy bumping his own thread, sorry)
I'm unbricked!
For those in a similar spot, looking to rebrand, or otherwise interested...
I finally e-mailed Funky Huawei for assistance. Their unbrick tool did not work. However, their e-recovery method worked perfectly (basically, you point your router's DNS to Funky Huawei, enter stock recovery and connect to wi-fi, and Funky Huawei's servers mimic Huawei's servers. If they do not have your firmware on their server, they will add it by request (provided it exists on the internet).
I paid $65 for a 30 day pass - a little steep, but I was impatient. I'm not sure if I could have gotten away with paying less. If you want to try and use my FH account over the next 30 days PM me (although I don't want to get carried away with that).
For those looking to rebrand, if you can flash an OEMinfo file successfully (FH has a rebrand tool and I have no clue how well it works), you should be able to use FH's erecovery method to flash firmware (don't blame me if something goes wrong).
One reason for the trouble I was having, if because I bootlooped after making a change to the vendor/build.prop file. This file was on the vendor partition, not the system partition, and for whatever reason the vendor partition cannot be flashed via fastboot (in theory it can be flashed, in reality it returns an error that doesn't have to do with the size of the partition).
Before reverting to FH, I finally got TWRP installled and functioning, and after all the attempts I made to recover my device, the same build.prop file which initially caused a bootloop was still in the /vendor folder. And TWRP wouldn't mount the system and vendor partitions as read/writeable - that was frustrating.
Now off to experiment with AOSP GSIs while I feel like I have little to lose...
Please help me
hello everyone,
i tried to rebrand my m5pro with help of ministryofsolutions. Something went wrong and my tablet (CMR-AL19) is stucked in the recovery mode. how can i fix it? Someone who ca help me? I will pay

How to install huawei firmware?

Hi everybody, I'm a new p20 lite user and I want to ask you: do you know how to install a original firmware? I've tried to follow the dload method (so I put the update.app file into the dload directory that it's located in the external sd card) but the installation process stops at 5%. I found the update.zip file using firmware finder, the firmware I want to install it's avaiable for me (I checked the imei) and I tried with ota and full ota. Maybe I have to unlock the bootloader or root my device before? If someone need my actual build is ANE-LX1 8.0.0.145(C432).

Check somehow if this post can help you:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...om-official-emui-8-0-huawei-p20-lite-t3773999
- 1, 2, 3 and 4 should work without unlock bootloader.
- 5 and 6 is a must unlock bootloader.
- dload folder is not working with this firmware. Dload folder still working but I don't know how to find that specific firmware (dload package).

Ok thank you for your replay. I took a look at the post. I've tried to install the firmware using huawei firmware finder (proxy and dns methods) but nothing to do. I have a question for the Huawei eRecovery method of your post: there's no way to not wipe user data? Because for me it will be annoying. Anyway, why if huawei finder tell me a firmware is approved, then via ota there are no one updates??

Nowadays FF is not working as did in the past, I hope it be fix soon.
No, is not possible, to install via eRecovery always wipe data partition, at least I don't know how to avoid it.
That happened to me two days ago, I was running B148 and I find that B150 was approved for installation on the FF app, then I checked settings/system/ system update and no OTA there
To update firmware I'm been using HuRUpdater tool

Please advise....

'Morning all,
I would really appreciate some advice on a couple of things about my MATE 10 Standard.
I bought this phone online from an online shop in Manchester around April last year. I got the Mate 10 ALP-AL00 which was rebranded by the shop to ALP-L29. Its currently on 8.0.0.136(C636).
My aim is to unlock and root my device with Magisk and of course get TWRP working as well. From what I have read, there seems to be quite a high level of success but there are still things i'm not sure about. Huawei phones are a bit fragile, software wise and can easily brick. Plus, the fact that the phone itself is the Chinese variant, I don't expect any kind of help from Huawei Customer services if it does get bricked. Hence i'm being very cautious. (Past bad experience with a Honor 9 STF-AL10).
1. my phone is on ALP-L29 8.0.0.136(c636) 1 June security patch. Bootloader Version: Chipset-boston8.0.0.001(02M8)_FASTBOOT
I've refused all attempts to upgrade via OTA as I've read about the 01 and 02 bootloaders fiasco.
2. I've got an unlock code from DC-Unlocker, but I've not tried it yet. I never was able to get a code from Huawei's official site due to the fact that it was rebranded, which lead me to believe the online shop I bought it from used Funky to rebrand. (Apparently, FunkyH messes up something on the bootloader thus preventing unlocking with official unlockcode. AFIK). BUT, the info displayed by phone is exactly the same as what is on the box, imei 1&2, S/N, device Id code, etc...
Basically my questions are:
With the current firmware version I'm on, can I unlock my bootloader, install the unofficial TWRP then root with Magisk? AFIK its on xloader 01.
Is there anything to look out for when doing the above?
and, If I do a full backup immediately after installing TWRP, can this be used to recover the phone if it fails to boot up for any reason.?
I'm not really interested in being on the latest EMUI version etc, just wan't a phone with full root and an easy method to unbrick it.
thank you all,

You could just test the code in fastboot: fastboot oem unlock UNLOCKCODE
If the code is incorrect, for some reason, it will say Password incorrect. Else it will bring you to the yes/no unlock screen on phone. DCs unlock code should always work as it doesn't need the correct imei/imei2/sn/product combo when generating unlock code.
There's no real point in staying on xloader 01 anymore, every update (except a few unapproved firmware) after 02 started appearing has been 02.
Downside is that you can't downgrade, but you could replace fastboot in latest fw with the one from may/June and you'd have DC working again. But there's also service firmware available for free on androidhost.ru which can be used if phone should brick. There's also testpoint (only one person has tested this) which can be used to downgrade to any firmware (even xloader 02 to 01).
Before unlocking, backup everything as unlocking will wipe data.

U can check unlock code by dialing *#*#2846579#*#* and goto veneer informations>Verify key> Input boot unlock code. If it is correct it will show Success in toast notification.
Hi all,
Appologies for late reply as I've been lumbered with bored kids on their midterms plus a backlog of work.
I've verified the key I go from DC, and success it got verified OK.
Now to prepare and read through again all the important bits for TWRP nstallatuon and magisk.
Quick question, is there a way or method that is 100% foolproof to recover your device via unofficial TWRP.
Noobish questions, I know but please bear with me.
Thanks for your time and patience and best regards....

There are a few methods to recover your device from an eventual soft-brick, i wouldn't call them foolproof, not because are hard to follow/use, but only because it seem that no matter how easy a guid, a method or a tool is, there are still some people that fail to do it properly.
If your only goal is to install TWRP and Magisk, my advice is to read a bit on these forums and you shoul be fine.
Another advice, that people seem to ignore completely after they acquire root, is to backup your partitions. I recommend Partitions Backup (by Wanam) from Playstore. Backup all partitions beside system, vendor and userdata then transfer the backup on PC, Cloud, etc.
Good luck!

Thank you for taking the time to put me right.
I'll go back to your Unofficial TWRP post and go through it A to Z.
Hi all,
thanks for the all the help with my issues.
I've unlocked the bootloader and even got the unofficial TWRP working.
I've also backup my partitions and kept them on my PC and Cloud.
Now the problem I'm having is with Magisk. I can't seem to get it installed.
When I flashed it in TWRP I got an error that /system and /Vendor are not mounted. Mounted them manually and retried the instalation and it worked. When I check the APP, it shows as not installed.
I've tried magisk 16.0 and 17.1 both failed to install. Tried the one in the HWOTA zip and it failed too.
Anyone please advise...

Which device and build do you have? First uninstall Magisk with Magisk Uninstaller, by flashing it with TWRP. Then try again to install latest Magisk.
And btw, your partitions backup is not completely done, not untill you install Magisk and use that app, Partitions Backup!
Solved!
I ran the magisk_uninstall twice then ran the magisk.bat again.
Got 16.0 to work, now updated to 17.1 via the app and all is good.
worked like a CHARM.
full root & TWRP + Magisk 17.1 installed
Christmas has come early for me!
Now to way the pros and cons of updating to xloader2 (infact anything above B136)
Much respect to all and best regards.....

Well, you can't stay on xloader01 forever, at least not if you want to update your device.
The cons is that once on xloader02, you can't go back to xloader01.

You can use HWOTA8 or HuRUpdater! Beware that if you update to a firmware with patch 01, simply flashing Magisk won't work anymore and you will have to patch the stock ramdisk with Magisk Manage (keep encryption and preserve dm_verity must be enabled) , then flash the patched image with fastboot.

[Emui 10] Bootloader unlock not possible

Hello everyone!
I spent the last few days trying to flash a stock emui 9 or 9.1 version to my Mate20Pro (C432) because my carrier notified me, that the emui 10 update is officially available.
I was finally able to go to version . 347 by following this guide: click
A few hours later I was offered the emui 10 update and it installed well.
The exact build nr is now: 10.0.0.154(C432E7R1P5patch01)
Only thing left: Root access.
And here's where the problems start:
The Bootloader was relocked somewhere down the road (the update to .347 probably). Now, I've had this issue before, jumping back and forth between ROMs, but was always able to re-unlock my bootloader with my code I got from funkyhuawei (back in the days).
Now when I try to unlock it now, following this procedure:
- turn usb debugging on
- confirm to always trust my computer
- open console - adb devices: I see my device.
- adb reboot bootloader: reboots the phone gracefully
- reached fastboot mode - bootloader lock confirmed. frp locked: no
- in terminal: fastboot devices: check
- fastboot oem unlock xxxxx
--> here i get following output:
Failed. Invalid command.
Has anyone also had this issue? is this some kind of security mechanism (did they change the unlock code?) Or did they chamge the fastboot command set?
What I've checked so far:
- usb drivers are installed (reinstalled them even)
- hisuite is installed (also tried it with uninstalling first)
- terminal is running as admin
- tried different usb cables
- googling
I would really appreciate all thoughts, ideas or experiences with this issue.
Thanks in advance!
On EMUI10 (at least early builds), it's normal behavior.
It's seem that oem unlock's fastboot command was made invalid or was modified...
It's told rolling back to emui9 B346 or B347 will open bootloader back or at least will enable back fastboot and old oem unlock commands.
Does magisk creator @topjohnwu achieved something related to emui10 ?

Were you able to unlock bootloader or downgrade to 9.1 with locked bootloader or fix this issue by any means?
You can rollback to 9.1 using stock hisuite.
If rollback prompt is not shown, you can trigger it with 'Hisuite launcher' from Magnot.

I have funkyhuawei account but still that was unable fix the issue. So what i did was:
I choose 365 ver in funkyhuawei website and tried flashing it using modded hisuite. When it downloaded the firmware i replaced the 365 firmware files like CUST AND PRELOAD with EMUI 10 version, it failed at the beginning. I keep on retrying multiple times and final it flashed CUST and PRELOAD and my system booted with EMUI 10 .

So in the dload folder, you used the main update zip from the 9.1 (365) and the custom and preload zips from emui 10? Thanks. (asking also since you say you booted in emui 10 even though from what you have described you seem to have had the main update zip in 9.1...or was it the other way around?)
(I tried-though on mate 20x and the software installation failed-restart-so is that what you tried many times? (in the erecovery update through card/otg option?)
Highly appreciate your clarification here (might just help me get out of this emui10 mess)

Modded hisuite only work, if you have funkyhuawei account and required credits for that account.
Yes, thats correct i used main update.zip is from 9.1 and custom and preload are from emui 10.
Currently your mobile already have emui 10(update.zip). But when mobile boots it goes through custom and preload and then it loads Operating System(emui 10).
In order to fix it . You need to load custom and preload for supporting emui 10.
If you have a regular hisuite, try erecovery mode.
Hisuite will download a package(update.zip, custom.zip and preload.zip) in documents folders if you are using Windows system. Once it downloads them, it will unzip those files and then it starts flashing customs, preload and then update(in this order). You need to figure out a way, to replace custom and preload folder with emui 10 files before Hisuite start flashing them.
so, since bootloader unlock is not longer possible with emui 10 i will give the phone to one of my kids so it will be a youtube interface, myself ordered a s20+ and hopefully samsung will treat me right.
